We had been searching for a property for nine months, speaking with numerous landlords and estate agents who promised us the world but ultimately failed to deliver. That all changed when we met Rylie at Beresford’s. From the very beginning, Rylie stood out through her exceptional attention to detail, honesty, professionalism, and genuine commitment to helping us. She was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, keeping us informed, listening to our needs, and going above and beyond to make what had been a very frustrating experience feel seamless and positive. Her approach, dedication, and outstanding level of service were truly admirable, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to guide us through the process. We had such a positive experience with Jasmine, our check-out officer. She was absolutely lovely from start to finish, professional, approachable and incredibly helpful. She genuinely cared about doing a good job. She took the time to listen to our concerns, carefully went through everything with us and made us feel completely reassured that nothing was being overlooked. Her communication was excellent and she was so friendly and easy to deal with throughout (even when I wasn’t). After having a few concerns around the check-out process, Jasmine was a breath of fresh air. She handled everything calmly and professionally and really went above and beyond to help us. Completely useless. Property listed for 2 months and not a single viewing. I engaged Beresfords to sell my property at the beginning of June and apart from the initial visit they were totally inept. Every single thing they were responsible for either didn’t happen or was done so poorly that I had to do it myself! 1. They made no effort with the initial proposal for the online listing and brochure included the worst photos of my property, despite having taken other much more appealing photos. Key information (such as parking, refurbishments that had been completed etc.) was also missing. I had to provide extensive feedback for them to fix all of these points. 2. They did not put up a board outside for several weeks, and only did so when I questioned where it was. Excuse was “it’s the board companies fault”. 3. In 8 weeks they managed to find ONE potential viewer who cancelled the first appointment the day before and then on the second appointment did not even bother to turn up - I later found out she missed her mortgage appointment directly before, but nobody at Beresfords bothered to tell me this. 4. Despite the lack of viewings, and the fact that my property is modern, well presented, in a good location, and has a few unique/desirable features such as a garage and parking, Beresfords did not once contact me to suggest a new strategy or price amendment. I cancelled my contract with them without giving the required 28 days notice and although they provided excuses as to why their performance had been poor, they did not try to enforce the notice period as they clearly knew they’d been totally incompetent. The whole process was incredibly stressful, wasted lots of my time, and massively delayed my move. The final insult was that I had to follow up 10 days after I’d asked for the board to be collected as it was still outside my home!

Extremely disappointing and frustrating…

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this agency. We ultimately had to withdraw from the purchase after months of delays, unresolved enquiries and a lack of transparency and communication. We were repeatedly pressured to complete the next steps on our side, despite still waiting for essential information and responses from the seller and their solicitors. It felt as though we were expected to keep progressing while the other side’s outstanding matters were left unresolved. We were committed buyers and completed everything required from our side, but the poor communication and lack of urgency completely undermined our confidence in the process. A very disappointing experience, which resulted in us walking away from the purchase.
