Abbey was very professional throughout and supportive. She kept us informed at all times of the progression of the sale of our property. Ellisha took up also a lot of the dealings to and fro and again maintained us informed. It was very easy to get hold of staff, get information and advice when at times we were quite fed up with how long the process of completion was taking. They were reassuring and helpful. Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They are the worst of the worst. No one ever comes back to you, and all they care about is taking your money while doing absolutely nothing in return. The level of incompetence and neglect is shocking. I have three small children, and they have left us without a working toilet, which is a serious environmental health hazard. Despite paying all my rent upfront, I have been completely ignored. I have sent over 12 emails, and not a single one has been responded to. No updates, no explanations, just silence. When I try to call, no one is ever available. On the rare occasion that I do get through, I am promised a call back that never happens. Not only do they ignore me, but they also ignore my landlord, making it absolutely impossible to get anything resolved. Even my landlord is frustrated and unable to get answers from them. It’s clear they have no interest in actually managing properties or helping tenants just taking people’s money and running. This company lies, avoids responsibility, and treats both tenants and landlords with absolute disregard. The service is disgraceful, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you’re thinking of dealing with them, DON’T! Save yourself the stress and money and go elsewhere. Updated: There has been numerous emails sent to the email you are saying. Still no reply. I will upload email trails that date back nearly 1 year to date.

Awful Company. Absolutely awful experience with Barstow Eves. As soon as they take your money, they seem to lose all interest in helping you. I moved into a property with serious issues that were clearly hidden during the viewing, and nearly 5 months later basic repairs and safety concerns are STILL not fixed. The condition of this house is completely unacceptable, especially with children living here. There are ongoing safety hazards that have already caused injuries and continue to put my children at risk daily. On top of that, there are hygiene issues that no family should be expected to live with. It is honestly disgusting and has had a huge impact on our health, wellbeing, and quality of life. The maintenance department is completely unfit for purpose. Emails are ignored, calls are never returned, and nothing ever gets resolved. You spend your time constantly chasing people who either don’t care or make empty promises that lead nowhere. Things have now become so bad that I have had no choice but to start seeking advice from Environmental Health and solicitors regarding the condition of the property and the complete lack of action taken. No family should be left living in unsafe and unhygienic conditions for months while an estate agent simply ignores the problem. The stress and frustration this company has caused my family has been unbelievable. I would strongly warn anyone thinking of renting through Barstow Eves to avoid them completely. Once they have your money, don’t expect support, urgency, or basic care when serious problems arise. Terrible communication, shocking maintenance service, and an overall disgraceful experience.

Very frustrating experience. Time and money wasted. For future tenants: I would strongly recommend confirming that the agent has the keys and has successfully accessed the property before you set off. I had a viewing booked for 9:45am on Monday. At 9:41am, just four minutes before the appointment, I received a call saying they were unable to access the property and needed to reschedule. This was very disappointing as I had already arranged my morning around this viewing. They also called me at 9:24am when I was on the train. Still saying see you soon. Until last minute. They are waiting you arrive at the site instead of telling you earlier.
