Bad at selling

I have dealt with quite a few estate agents over the years, but it was my first time working with Gibbs Gillespie. Unfortunately, Gibbs Gillespie does not get a good rating. Some red flags.Dealing with Rahul from the Stanmore branch and his bleached blonde colleague who didn't introduce herself. Rahul initially flat out refused to book us in for a viewing. We had to ask several times to view the property concerned. At one point it started to seem like the property they advertised was actually a fake advertisement, but as it turns out the house they were advertising did at least exist.However, once we finally did the viewing, the agent that turned up (not Rahul) claimed we only had 15 minutes to conduct the appointment and they did not know anything whatsoever about the property, and it was clear they really didn't, as they did not even know the house number. We had to point the property out to them when they arrived. It was quite odd. Their salesmanship does leave something to be desired.No wonder the property is still on the market. The agents are doing their very best (or worst) to not sell it.I have given 2 stars just because they have not been the worst I've encountered. At least the property they advertised actually existed and they had the key to the front door for it.

Worst experience ever - avoid GG!!

Worst experience ever. Gibbs in Amersham, very pushy to book viewings- always overbooking - and always cancelling last minute, as if buyers are sitting around ready to waste weekends and afternoons for their games. Happened few times already. Avoid at all cost if you are a serious buyer, and I assume their rush to close deals fast also means sellers lose out on better offers.

Bad experience, terrible service and money loss

I had a very bad experience, terrible service and money lost due to their incompetence. Went for a viewing to buy a new build property. I asked about parking was told there was going to be residents parking outside. Asked again on the phone to confirm and was told the same. I then put an offer and started the process. I started spending money for the checks and all the procedures required. 15mins after receiving all the paper work from the solicitor I get a phone call from the agency telling me that I will never be able to get residents parking as it is a parking free development which they would have known about in the beginning when building permission was given. I was told to try and find parking at the Asda near by which was absolutely ridiculous. This issue was kept from me until months later when it was time to sign the paperwork. Also after I explicitly asked whether I can park outside the property and was told on multiple occasions YES. I no longer want to proceed with the purchase of the property as this was a very clear misrepresentation. All information regarding the property should have been made clear to me from the beginning in order for me to make an informed decision to buy. As parking is a requirement for me if I had been told from the beginning, I would not have put an offer down on the property. After speaking to the salesman (Alex Robinson) that was dealing with this he hasn’t been helpful in trying to resolve this situation and has been dragging it on for months now. I have to keep chasing him and he’s seems not bothered at all trying to help. It has got to the stage where he is telling me to sort it out my self with the solicitor if I want to get my money back. I’m very disappointed in their very unprofessional service and do not recommend them at all.

Spam emails that never end

Back in December, I saw a nice property that was marketed by them. They asked for my contact info to arrange a viewing, and then spam started. Unfortunately, they don't have a proper unsubscribe button (this should have been A HUGE RED FLAG), but a button that sends an email with some prefilled info asking the sender to unsubscribe you. Well, this means that they pass your details to the next salesperson, and you're stuck with their spam.

This is my first ever review as I could never be bothered but the person I need to address is next level of incompetence and I feel is my obligation to inform other people. Her name is SIMRUN NIJJAR. I understand not everyone is as skilful or as capable however, you could at least hire people with some sort of values in life or some sort of intelligence. This SIMRUN NIJJAR literally gave a fake reference about my partner and I and because of her we almost remained homeless and had to stay an extra week in that flat. SIMRUN's explanation was: "yes I know I lied with the second part, but the first part of the reference was real" You can imagine the level of stupidity... SIMRUM is the daughter of the owner/director of this company that she works for "Freshways", MR RAVI NIJJAR, who is also the owner of the flat where we were living (of course 🤣). All the employees speak very negative about SIMRUM. She obviously has a big attitude problem and thinks she is allowed to treat people badly, basically. Be very careful if SIMRUN NIJJAR is your "agent" as she is one of those frustrated woman (I checked her Instagram and to be honest for the way she looks I understand her point) that feels better by trying to do bad to other people, pretty much. We are going to take them to small claims court as because of SIMRUN we are still waiting to get back our deposit and she is been hanging up the phone when my bf is trying to contact her. Just 2 days ago, she finally responded to a message and just said that my bf was harassing her (she wishes)... anyway, still we did not get the deposit back as of now. Myself I don't really care about the money, I knew she was not a great human being but i didnt know she is also a thief 🤣 im just happy we dont have to deal with her anymore to be honest. Maybe someone can forward this message to her daddy and see if he actually cares about his business/clients/employees/tenants and does something about it, or give us back our deposit... I'm just saying, you never know... 🤷
