Even one star here is a generous present to the firm. I have trusted the information the platform represents and finally got drama. 2 weeks of expecting the tenancy agreement and finally getting the knowledge that I won't move into the flat in two days from the date! It is not a big deal - but refund of the deposit and 3 months payment is a really big deal, not mentioning the time wasted and time is the most important thing we have in our life. Agency promises to get back my money, and who knows will it happen. And the agency for sure won't get back me money for living in the hotel while I was waiting for this flat to come! My moral damage from this situation definitely won't be refunded. To check your counterparties properly, knowing who you deal with - that's the reason why we should trust the business. Here I don't feel any trust and recommend you the same attitude to save your time, nerves and money. Try different platforms. BTW - I have contacted the team at support but no answer since last Friday (three working days already).

I only give 3 stars here because the site is open to all brokers. Apparently it is so common in the industry to simply not be familiar with the data of the houses - especially the technical data. We now had 5 brokers to view houses - none of them knew anything. This often results in much too high or too low prices for real estate. Maybe the brokers should rethink and create decent reports and give a fixed price. Onthemarket.com should perhaps control the brokers and their skills a bit and only allow those who have civil engineers or architects certified.

Their house valuation service is woeful and undervalued my home by over £300K!! It would appear that they used the last sale price as a baseline then crudely added some random percentage onto this, based on the results of a few questions I answered. Either way, the end result was £300K under the actual value. Ridiculous and therefore, a worthless service. Stick to Zoopla.In response to the below comments from 'OnTheMarket', this is a disingenuous and lazy 'copy and paste' paragraph that I've seen on other reviews. It does not acknowledge the individual circumstances, specifically in my case, the ridiculous margin of error this "valuation" produced. And passing the buck to the third party providing the service beggars belief! I'll stick to Zoopla thanks!!!!

Absolutely awful. Trying to chase an online viewing request for a letting is like getting blood out of stone. After a answer phone menu you get redirected 3 times. If you lucky enough to be eventually connected you will most likely speak to a very polite and friendly person who will tell you someone will contact you ASAP. It never happens. Thing is I have a suspicion the property is not available anymore!!

I researched the On the Market website & listed a number of properties via the reference numbers listed against each property.I then contacted On the Market by phone which was answered by a bored disinterested young woman.To each enquiry reference number she replied "we do not a property listed to that number" after the sixth such reply I asked why they were listed on the website, her answer "we are just a broker & listings take several days to appear on our data base" clearly the default position of this apology of a company.Total waste of time & effort.

Called in asking for a room availability and there's this one lady who sound tired and doesn't like her job said someone has took it. I thought that she's unreliable so I called in the next day asking the same question. Then, there's this another lady who sound patient and nice said the room is available and she took down my number and said that she’ll send me the documents. The next day, I did not receive anything so I called again just to make sure. Its the same lady from the first day I called in and I told her about what the nice lady told me yesterday. She said "no one will say such thing" and proceed to say the room is not available, with her tiring voice. Don't even know if the room is actually available or not. lol

This website is appalling; the parameters you set are reversed almost immediately. If you are lucky enough to start the search you were hoping for, when you try to go back to the listings after looking at a property, the parameters are deleted. Then there are constant requests to sign up to something, which are almost impossible to refuse, no matter how many times you click the little 'x' in the corner. When you finally get rid of the box you find you have gone back to square one, yet again, with all your parameters deleted. This site is a complete mess.
