I’ve been very satisfied with the service provided throughout the management of my tenancy by MRKT. Their service costs were competitive, and the marketing materials, particularly the photos of the flat, were consistently professional and well presented. Communication has been a real strong point. Customer relations were always handled in a professional and responsive manner, and any queries or issues I raised, or needed to respond to, were dealt with promptly. All inventory check‑in and check‑out reports were thorough and detailed, which made it much easier to identify and address any issues early. During the second tenancy, a higher number of issues were raised and reported, but every one of them was managed efficiently and with a high level of professionalism. When the tenants reported damp despite being provided with a dehumidifier from the beginning, the team stepped in immediately and sent them a clear guide on how to manage and reduce the problem. In the most recent tenancy, the flat was not returned to me in the same condition in which it had been presented to the tenants. MRKT addressed the matter straight away, ensuring I wasn’t left to restore the property to its original condition on my own. Overall, the service has been reliable, proactive, and well‑organised, and I’ve appreciated the consistent level of care shown throughout the entire period. A special thanks to Matt, James, Amanda, and Tim, who have all contributed to maintaining the highest standards and keeping a conscientious customer happy. MRKT comes highly recommended by me, and I would not hesitate to choose them again to manage any future tenancies.

Absolutely THE BEST agency in town. Me and my partner rented with them for 4 years and if ever there was any issues we would get an immediate response. Compare to our agency now where it could take 3 weeks to hear back from them and an other 8 weeks to get the matter sorted! For many years I have used James Tiller and his team to rent out and manage my rental properties. During 4 company name changes his team have provided top quality tenants. They have achieved rents higher than I expected. Also they have made sure that the raft of regulations have been implemented or adhered to. I can’t recommend this agency enough! The team is so helpful and the property looked like a show room! The cleaning was immaculate. We have rented many place around Bournemouth in the last 9 years and it was always the same…moving in to a dirty property with half the things not working and then a three month battle to get anything sorted. ​I was a tenant with MRKT Property Expert for 12 months and want to provide a sincere warning to anyone considering renting a property managed by them. ​The most alarming issue arose during the check-out process and deposit reconciliation. They attempted to claim substantial deductions for damages and cleaning issues that were clearly and explicitly documented in the official check-in report they provided at the start of the tenancy. They were trying to charge me for pre-existing wear and tear and damage that was not my responsibility. ​Fortunately, I had detailed records and photographic evidence to contest these bogus claims. Nevertheless, the time, effort, and stress involved in defending myself against their attempts to make unfair deductions were immense. They operate on the assumption that tenants will not challenge their initial excessive demands. ​My final advice is simple: DO NOT RENT through this agency. If, against this warning, you still choose to proceed, please be prepared to meticulously document everything and accept that you will likely have to fight tooth and nail, or simply forget about seeing your deposit returned in full. This company is Greedy and unfair!!.

If you're a student then avoid renting through Christopher Shaw. The property I moved into was horrendous and very poorly maintained. There was a pre-existing rodent problem on the day that I moved in, with an upholstery chair in my room having been chewed and ruined. The kitchen and living room had multiple holes, with skirting boards entirely missing, creating the environment for rodent infestation. The property was old and had very poor insulation, costing us an absurd amount in bills throughout the winter. The reason I'm giving Christopher Shaw such a poor review is because they neglect tenants and flatly rejected some of the problems and concerns we had with the property. Responsibility was placed on us for pre-existing problems and they exist solely to provide friction and inaccessibility to landlord communication. I suggest that students be careful and make sure that they understand their rights as tenants before signing any rental agreements. And prepare to go to court over deposit disputes because my landlord refused to use the free service with DPS.

Mike Boon is a fantastic real estate agent. He has set a new standard in estate agency. He understood my needs to sell the property better than I did. It wasn’t an easy time due to non-standard type of property, thankfully he came up trumps though, never loosing hope. He proceeded to market our home in a professional manner, took great photos that showed the home in the best possible light. He showed prospective buyers round and gave very useful feedback on the viewing. He found the right buyer and then managed the sale in a prompt fashion. His communication skills are superior, and in all honesty, he guided me through the experience giving support along the way. Mike was instrumental in making this sale happen, I doubt many other estate agents would be as committed or determined. The man could sell ice to Eskimos! The team as a whole are very helpful with thanks going to the letting side of the business, Matt and Amanda for close to 7 years of successful rental, apart from the utterly ridiculous costs of their chosen "maintenance team" the service is first class.
