We had a difficult mortgage application, and our first purchase unfortunately fell through, but Doug was always there with a reassuring chat whenever we needed it. His honesty, calm approach and genuine willingness to help made a huge difference during what could have been a very stressful time. Doug consistently went above and beyond for us, including arranging early access to the property a couple of days before completion. This meant meeting us first thing in the morning to open up and then returning again in the evening to lock up. That level of care and dedication is incredibly rare. Simon Spofforth has found me tenants for all three rental properties I have purchased since 2020. He has given good advice on inspecting the properties in a friendly manner; been super-efficient and thorough with the credit checks and process, and kept me up to date with progress. I have lovely tenants now. His service has been second-to-none and I would always go back to him if I needed another tenant. Not only that, I purchased one of the properties from House & Son, and Doug was also great. On the second one, the Manager, Steve, got involved with a very messy 5 five tier chain and sorted out two involving Managing Agents and all five of them completed due to his thorough hard work and time. We have had a great experience buying our first property with House and Sons. We went for a couple of viewings before putting an offer in, which was sadly just a little too late as another offer had been accepted. Luckily for us, the others withdrew their offer and Doug contacted us to let us know the property was back on the market. We put in another offer and Doug worked hard to ensure it was accepted for us. A few weeks later, emails and calls exchanged from Doug and Sharon, both extremely helpful and patient while trying to get hold of me, we got the keys to our first home! Very helpful and friendly! Bought a house with them. Dealt with Doug who showed us the house twice. He also communicated with the seller for us when negotiating a price. He was very friendly, honest and a great help. Also spoke to Sharon who again was very helpful, even called me to update me on the situation and get updates from me. On the day of our move we queried if there was any extra set of keys. She phoned their solicitors to ask if there were any extra keys, went and collected them and dropped them off to us which was very thoughtful. I would happily deal with them again.
