Dealt with Paul Matthews on the sales side and Mercedes Eyre on the lettings side. Paul was instrumental in dealing with the sale of my flat which was protracted due to complications. At every stage he chased up buyers solicitors, sellers solicitors and the flat management company ensuring that the process did not lag unduly. His determination to get the deal across the line in the face of numerous queries was impressive. At several stages we were both of the opinion that the deal would fall through after nearly 8 months. However, we pulled it through with exchange and completion on the same day. Met him personally. He is very approachable and friendly. Likewise Mercedes provided excellent service when the flat was rented out. I would recommend Belvoir Bournemouth for sales and lettings.

I would personally stay well clear of this estate agent. From start to finish, very poor. I found a property that I liked, I enquired, nobody would ever pick up the phone. I got told someone would call me back as I went to a different department. Didn’t happen. Took about 5 attempts to get through to someone, I managed to get a viewing on the Saturday. Everything was fine for Time keeping. Didn’t really get shown around much but that is fine as I got entrance. Adam was who I dealt with. Monday, I called in and said I was interested and would like to go for it. I asked about if it can be paid through my business as not sure what my credit is like (never had a loan or credit card) he said this is absolutely fine, plenty do this. He then said I need to send a deposit. I asked do we not do referencing first, he replied and said I needed to pay. A deposit to remove it online as standard. 15 mins later I paid and emailed, followed up with a call. This was not removed from online, I called up later; again nobody available: then called again, I got told Adam was in later / that is fine. He then called me and said “it was red flags” with through a business and someone else has come in and put it in and the landlord has accepted. At no point was I told preference was personal, I even asked. Nothing wrong with my credit or income. Infact I earn £40k over more than what they said I required. Poor service from start to finish. Got an apology email, however that is due to me saying I will post a reciew, so I think this prompted them. Looking at other reviews that are negative, it seems they disagree with everyone. Well if anyone wants proof, I have the email trails. If you want to buy or sell a property. I wouldn’t bother: you’re lucky if anyone picks up the phone; let alone taking a deposit and giving to someone else 24 hours later and I only find out due to chasing. All I can thank you for is picking up the phone twice after about 10 attempts; wasting my time and taking my deposit, not doing as you promised and refunding timely. If anyone puts a deposit down; it doesn’t mean anything.

We found the property that we wanted through Belvoir and so used them for our sale as well. Paul did an initial visit to our property to discuss terms and when we decided that we would be using Belvoir did a second visit to take photos etc. We found Paul very approachable. We always knew when viewings were taking place and received prompt feedback. Throughout both transactions Paul kept us updated and pushed things through to a very satisfactory conclusion without being overbearing. We would definitely look at using Belvoir again if the situation arose.

My experience with Paul Matthew’s at Belvoir has been none of the less, outstanding. Paul was the estate agent acting on behalf of our buyer, we were not his clients but that didn’t stop Paul from treating us like we were. He went absolutely above and beyond from start to finish and became my main source of contact for questions, support and advice. Without Paul, I do believe it would have taken many more weeks (if not months) for the whole chain to complete, he was persistent and wasn’t afraid of putting things straight. He provided impeccable service not only for his client, but for us to. In fact, Paul was much more supportive to us than our own estate agents (which surprisingly have good reviews and were recommended to us, but were not to the same standard as Belvoir). We just want to thank Paul for helping us through such a stressful time and making our dreams come true, it wasn’t easy, but he took a lot of weight off our shoulders and kept pushing. I even got a lovely congratulations from him before our own agents knew we had exchanged - that says it all. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in future.

In January my husband and I fell in love with our current property that was on the market with Paul and then instructed him to get our previous house on the market asap for the best chance to succeed with now our dream home - in less than a week of us first meeting at a viewing, our house was advertised with excellent pictures showing our home in the best light. The quickest sale and purchase I have ever experienced in just 2.5 months and I believe this is largely because of Paul. Throughout the sale and purchase, he has been incredible and felt like a lovely friend. We instructed an awful solicitor and Paul was excellent throughout the pain we felt towards the end of our sale and purchase. Helping us scan documents, being there to listen and worked along the chain keeping us all updated but also people on point for what they needed to do. I can’t rate Paul enough as an Estate agent, I think he is excellent. Very professional, driven, feedback always shared after viewings but also regarding the property we were aiming for. Paul you were a wonderful support going above and beyond to keep us all happy, updated and most importantly keep us to the completion date we were all working towards!
