Great Business Proposition and Positioning Docs

Our product can appear quite complex if sufficient reading and time is not taken to understand its operation. Amber, at Knightsbridge, got the marketing material spot on, showing that not only had she taken the time to understand the business but had also spent effort on all supplementary documentation provided. The documents created portray the operation, its problem solving, industry benefits and value very well. Great job.

I found the tactic they used for agreeing our brokering fee super unethical. As a first time business seller what they did was give us a super inflated price of what they thought they could sell our business for to get us to use them, then they told us they take a small % of the sale and then wrote down what the % in pounds would be if we sold it at what they praised the price down in £ instead of % of final sale price. We ended up paying them over %15 of sale price because of this.

The Knightsbridge team have been reliable, helpful and patient. Our consultant, Ben H, kept us updated via regular phone calls and emails. KB acted as our brokers and are worth it as they can help facilitate as smooth a process as possible. If you're lucky, you'll get a great match for Buyer and Seller to make things better for everyone. Be prepared, this is not an experience to start lightly and takes a lot of emotional and mental energy - while carrying on your normal workload! Having a broker will help (IMHO) to take the edges off the process - and trust me - anything that will do that is a good thing! The solicitors we had helping us as part of the inclusive package (Shakespeare Martineau) we're also amazing. Having these calming, friendly and knowledgeable points of contact with advice and able to explain things in "plain speak" - totally worth it! Hope this helps someone else. If we were doing this in the future we'd absolutely use Knightsbridge (and Shakespeare Martineau) - but we are never, ever doing this again! :)

Sara Manville communicated very well, followed up in a timely manner and had the right balance of moving things forward yet allowing sufficient time for myself and the seller to agree any open items. Successful sale with Knightsbridge

The sale of our business took nearly twelve months and for three quarters of this time we were very fortunate to have the support, help and advice of Helen Bainbridge.We did try to get support from other members of staff and, while they were young and enthusiastic, they did not give us answers to the questions we posed. Although Helen works part-time, we were not happy to deal with anyone else. She answered our questions, gave us reassurance and had the skill and maturity of someone who has run a business herself to deliver the highest quality of service. When asked to check the final legal bill she identified we had been overcharged by £900.00 and immediately had the invoice reissued with the correct amount - fantastic!
