Been in property for 2 and half years…

Been in property for 2 and half years and the garden is a complete shambles. Been re laid 3 times. Last time was done was in June due to the garden having no drainage and having rubble and rubbish under the previous grass that was laid which turned the garden into a swamp and killed all the grass. Not even a year into the new grass being re laid it’s happened yet again!!!! They didn’t even bother to sort the issue out which is due to no drainage and the gardeners even said this would happen in time again!! How can this possibly happen YET AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME!!I get told from Bellway ( who own Ashberry) they are doing ME a favour by having it re laid for the third time like it’s my fault that this has happened. Do they not learn that clearly this is their problem and they should actually sort this as would save so much hassle and money. How can they be happy that they’ve had to replace the grass three times in 2 years and it’s still the same!!Complete joke of a company telling me it’s a one of favour and I should be grateful. This is our first property we’ve brought and have 2 children under 2 that can’t even go out and enjoy and play in the garden now until we actually move to a house which has suitable and safe garden with grass and not a boggy mess of mud everywhere. We’ve done everything the gardeners said to do to maintain the grass and have spent several hundred pounds and surprise surprise it’s not helped in the slightest which they told us would happen. Avoid these clowns who you will chase for months on end and then feel like you’re in the wrong when you complain. All they had to do in the first place was to sort the drainage issue and lay better grass then would be fine. The fact that several of our neighbours gardens are doing well shows that the problem lays with drainage in ours. This will never be sorted and the day we move to a better place couldn’t come soon enough to end this nightmare.

I don't want to give a bad review…

I don't want to give a bad review because I do love my house. I do think Ashberry build nice houses. However I have been plagued with issues that are just not being dealt with. Everyone is really nice and they say all the right things but I have a big list of big things that have not been done. My entire front door and frame needed replacing. It got replaced over 10 days ago but left unfinished. And the initial problem with it, still remains even after it has been changed. I have huge holes in my plaster and I can't get anyone to answer my emails. That's the most frustrating thing. I know things take time but to tell me someone is coming and then they don't show and zero communication as to why, that is why I am writing this now. My garden is a bog and my front porch wall is unfinished. Other minor things that I expected but the most frustrating thing is when you get ignored.It's a real shame because I love this development and fundamentally I love my house. I just want it finished.

Ashberry have been very good at working behind the scenes with the whole process so far, leaving me to concentrate on the more mundane things with regards to the selling of my property and the buying of a new Ashberry home. DELAYS

Reserved my plot in January 2022 with the build being sold as being ready August/September 2022. They have happily taken my upgrades money and in April they happily took an advance on the deposit. Then my house wasn't going to be ready till October. I realise that these things happen and i could live with the new date. I'm now locked into a legally binding contract to complete the purchase which, last night, i was informed is now going to be completed in April 2023!!!! If i could get my money back i would go elsewhere immediately! Really, really angry and frustrated.

So we have been in our home for 6 weeks…

So we have been in our home for 6 weeks now and wanted to wait before writing a review, but we couldn't have asked for a better team to be handling our first home than Sarah, John and Tommy (Durham Division). While we did find some snags, they were minor and fixed quickly and the team couldn't have been more helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend and have to say that while the experience of buying a home is always going to be stressful, the Ashberry Team handled our stress so well and made everything as easy as they possibly could.Sarah was a delight during the process of reservation, the entire buying process and beyond, and I think she works so hard to truly make sure her clients get the best from their new homes.John did our home handover and walked us through everything to make sure we knew exactly what to expect from our home and put us at ease during a chaotic moving time.Tommy did our entire snagging list, and was so friendly and efficient that even on the most stressful days managed to make us remember how exciting it is to have bought a home. Brilliant in every part of the process so far. We only went to view some houses out if intrigue but ended up finding our perfect home. The saleswoman down at Wouldham was more than exceptional. She kept us in regular contact with updates and how the process works. The moving made easy scheme really helped take control and would highly recommend if you are looking to move. None if the stress that we previously had with moving homes.

After a bit of a rocky start we sorted everything in the end with the assistance of Angie in the sales office. A big shout out to Gabby the assistant site manager who has been brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. If she says she going to do something then it gets done. Our new home is beautiful, so far only minor snagging all of which is being sorted.

Completely Gutted with the experience!!

Not someone who usually writes reviews but compelled to do so here. I had been at the Stockfield view site a few weeks back and was told that the Angelica Showhome will be coming up for release soon. I then and there made it clear that I am interested when it releases and would like to buy. I was asked to then run my AIP via New homes which I did promptly and I was told by them that they have shared my AIP with the builder. Now it was about waiting only.A couple of days back, I saw the house was released for sale. While I never got a call to inform me (as promised) I was excited and hence waited for the next day (offices were closed on wed) and called up promptly at 10am when they opened. No one picked up and I went on voice mail. I called a couple of times more in next 15 min and even left multiple voice notes but no one answered or called back. By afternoon I had made more than 20 calls but no one answered. I then called their head office and asked for me to be connected to someone at the site which they were able to do. When I spoke to the girl, she said she has had multiple calls during the day and will go first come first serve. I agreed as I knew I was the first one to call at precisely 10am. However I was called back in the evening and told they had others who called before me and hence they would be offering it to someone else. This is a lie as I am pretty sure i was the first to call when they opened up. Also the fact that k had visited the site and shared my details a few weeks ago doesn’t seem to have been taken into account. I in all probability have lost a house k was dearly looking forward to own and didn’t expect to be treated like this by a reputed builder like Ashberry.Completely gutted!!

We have only just recently reserved our new home at Ashberry homes,Church View, Callerton. This is the first time we have decided to purchase a new build, and what we have seen really impressed us and my wife and I being older decided now is the time to buy a new house,Had it not been for SARAH, who called us back and arranged for us to see the show home we were interested in ( as the nearest one was in Wingate Co Durham ) then we wouldn’t of proceeded. Sarahs knowledge, customer service, experience and her genuine professionalism has been invaluable to us first time new build buyers.Sarah understanding we both work shifts ( and needed a longer appointment for us to choose our extras ) even offered to come in early, HOW AMAZING IS THAT, in my book that far exceeds my expectations.We have also met Olivia, once again, so helpful, and informative, with excellent customer service skills.We have been kept informed so far, and today, we had our meet the builder and introduced to Jamie the site manager,He has been so informative, with his wealth of knowledge of the building industry, and boy did we ask some awkward questions, he answered everyone and his customer service was outstanding, all round the team at Ashberry, Church View, Callerton are an absolute asset to your company, please tell them we are eternally grateful for all the help so far, and we will be leaving another review when we move into our new home,Kind RegardsMr & Mrs Sholder
