Elan Home Avoid this company

We bought new ELAN home13 months ago. Tiles were damaged so a very disgruntled tiler came to replace them He and his colleague proceeded to smash the tiles with a hammer, this resulted in damaged walls and cupboards. Then two other ELAN guys came so now 4 of them stomping around the kitchen all over the rubble resulting in very badly scratched tiles. ELAN have agreed to replace the tiles 31 however they only have 11 that will match. The rest will be a close match. They have already put two unmatched tiles down previously and they really stand out Our floor will look like a chess board. You would expect ELAN to replace the whole floor as it is down to their neglect. Absolutely shocking!!!

I love my new house, but

I love my new house. Though some items on the Snagging List were rectified very early on, there are some still outstanding (plus additional ones which have become noticeable more recently as we didn’t take up occupation immediately after completing the purchase). I am hopeful that these can be dealt with shortly.Due to the location of my property and positioning of site security gates I was unable to see build progress for myself, even from a distance (though was sent photos weekly by the sales coordinator). However, mainly due to Site “health and safety” reasons, I did not get to see inside or outside until the property was finished. At that stage all electric sockets and T.V. Aerial points had been fitted. I was disappointed with their location in the Lounge in particular which has resulted in my having to change the furniture layout to suit other n what I had in mind previously. The upshot being, it would have been advantageous if I could have been invited to have an input at the crucial stage of aerials and sockets being fitted.

Do not buy a house from this builder…

Do not buy a house from this builder the standard of build is very very poor. There is not one room in my four bedroom house that has no defects. They had to replace several damaged tiles in my kitchen and now nearly all the tiles are completely scratched and look awful. They are now offering to change with near match coloured tiles which is a disgraceI have spoken to customer care and had visits. Elan do not have enough of the correct tiles to replace the tiles your tiler damaged. So now have to have a near match colour tiles which stands out a lot. Just not acceptable when Elan damaged my tiles in the first place!!! Seeking professional advice in this.

Recently purchased The show home @Elan Home estate in Southport (Balmoral Gardens) Not only is the house beautiful, Ken has been amazing. He has helped us every step of the way and been a pleasure to deal with. We had a some difficult family circumstances at the same time and he was considerate to our needs greatly. I Cant recommended Elan enough but also credit to Ken. He is a great reflection of this brand.Bravo !!

New builds are bound to have some issues but Elan will sort them

Bought a House 4 years ago from Elan. Yes we had a long list of snags but they were great at getting through them and getting them sorted. Had a few issues outside of snagging in the years to come and even those we managed to come to aggreement with them as a developer to resolve to the satisfaction fo all. Customer care team and especially Vikki was great. Sean and Steve also have been great throughout.

Amazing Customer Service

We bought our home 1 year ago and although we had a professional snag review, very few faults/issues were reported thankfully. It was just mostly minor cosmetic details. In the year we have been living here, one window has cracked due to settlement and our ceilngs downstairs have lines across them, where the tape hasn't held properly. We were told to liase with our site manager for any issues. Having messaged him a few times with our queries, nothing was resolved. We contacted Customer Care and Lynn Murphy was absolutely amazing. She answered our email straightaway, and sent us Darren Rudge a maintainance technician to resolve as many issues as possible a week later. His attention to detail was fantastic. A new window has now been ordered, and a few kitchen cabinets to replace ones due to chips. The plasterer is coming this week to hopefully fix the ceilings! You always get a few faults with new houses which is to expected, and hear of bad reviews on aftercare. I completely disagree. The customer service we have received has been faultless, and I would recommend anyone buying a new home to look at Elan

Mossley Gardens

We've been in our Elan house since March 2020 and have been very happy. The development is lovely and we love the communal green. We dealt with Billy and Ken who helped us move in smoothly despite it being in lockdown 1.0. Their customer service has been fantastic and still is! Of course, being a new build, there has been snags, but they have been dealt with and luckily nothing major. We would recommend Elan to everyone.

Balmoral Gardens Southport

We moved into our Ripley home a little over a week ago and we are so happy with our lovely house. We used Elans recommended solicitors for conveyancing for both sale and purchase. We reserved our house (already built) on 9th August and moved in on 29th September! Afew snags here and there but George the site manager has been very attentive and resolved most of them already. We are really happy with the quality of our house and quality of the service we have received. Collette is lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her and would answer any queries whatever time of day! We also received a lovely hamper from Elan when we moved in which was a nice touch! 10/10!

Whittingham Fold

We looked at a lot of houses when planning to relocate to the area. We kept coming back to Elan homes at Whittingham Fold because it was a lovely small estate with well proportioned houses. However the main reason we chose to buy here is due to the excellent service from Tracy. She was helpful without being pushy and we genuinely felt like she was invested and interested in us as customers. We have never bought a brand new house before, but Tracy has made the experience as painless as possible!
