Ellie in particular helped us negotiate and manage our expectations and we are so grateful as we bought our dream home which was originally out of budget. We recently completed on our first home, buying through Russell Property. From start to finish our experience was 1st class and the entire team were highly professional and efficient. We dealt with Ellie in the first instance who went out of her way to speak with us to understand our requirements and our budget. From there, Ellie kept us posted on a number of properties that were coming up for sale. Although, one house particularly stood out which was off-market, in which we were the first to view and ticked all of our boxes. To make it even better the house was on our dream road, something which we had mentioned to Ellie in our first couple of chats. During the conveyancing and sales progression we dealt with Becky and Paula, both of whom were very attentive and lovely to speak with, always keeping us regularly informed on the progress of our purchase. We could also not forget Doug, who covered Becky whilst she was away on holiday, and done a great job at pushing the final stages of our purchase along and helping to get us to point of exchange. This really highlighted the team’s strength at Russell Property given there was no lack of communication during leave or wasted time. We could not be happier with our new home, and we are so glad that we chose Russell Property to help us with this massive milestone in our lives. Thank you so much to all of the team.

We moved into a property rented from RP In June 21. The house was dirty and the inventory stated that it had not been professionally cleaned. A few days after moving in, my partner and I contracted Covid. He was admitted to hospital a week after we moved in. I advised RP of what had happened and asked them to stop sending him email reminders to sign the inventory as he was in a coma. They kept sending the reminders. They even came round to do a house check during this time. My partner died of Covid 4 weeks later. The ITU nurse advised that it was likely that we had contracted Covid from the dirty property and I should advise the agents of this. After the devastating loss of my partner, I did not have the strength to do this. I moved out of the house in Oct 22 and left it cleaner than when we moved in. Nicola Helm from RP advised that they would be deducting from the deposit as the house had not been professionally cleaned. She only backtracked on this when I sent her the original inventory. She then deducted for a mark that was there when we moved in but I did not have a date stamped photo to prove this as requested by her. The deposit was in my late partners name so his daughter had to go to the ombudsman to dispute this charge. The ombudsman awarded us 3/4 of the amount disputed as agreed that RP charge was over inflated even though I did not have a date stamped photo. I would have taken all my issues with RP further but did not want to put my partners daughters through any more distress. The stress and upset that this company caused, particularly Nicola Helm has been appalling.

Always kept up to date on viewings, which were also always facilitated by Josh or Doug without us needing to be there. Helpful insight from Josh on negotiating with buyers on offers received. God answered a major prayer request for our family through Russel Property in Bishop's Stortford. We were very new to the UK and needed to find a place to rent as soon as possible. I walked into their office without an appointment and was introduced to Jack who listened intently about what I was hoping to find. He had something available that was not even listed yet. I was able to walk there immediately after speaking with him to meet Pippa who just happened to be at the property. I felt home there immediately. Jack had been honest that the property needed some work, but that Russel's would work with me to help get it move-in ready. Jack, Pippa, Leah, Hannah and Jo all patiently answered all my questions. Eventually Jo became my go-to person for arranging all the services that had to come into the house to install a boiler, fix odds and ends, change an appliance, etc. and as of today, my family lives in a modernized and beautiful home. We are so happy with Russel's and are especially glad for the rapport built up with Jo through our many emails and calls and even seeing each other round the town. These are honest and kind people to work with and we wholeheartedly recommend them!
