Not enough stars on Google. As a tenant you never feel protected or cared for. I have been letting through various agencies and at the end of every tenancy I felt like it's all for the landlord and nothing for the tenants. Not with Fordyce Furnivall!!! Ever since we started renting through them, until we ended the tenancy, they have been absolutely flawless and if I should ever need an agency again, I will choose them over and over again. I think I can only describe the Fordyce Furnivall team and customer service as excellent and second to none. I have been renting with them for just over 2 years, feeling very disappointed and sad to leave them. Since 6 years living in Stortford, I never found a letting agency which takes care not only of the property but also their tenants in the way they just do, with simplicity and efficiency . They are absolutely the best : I am used to write down reviews - especially on Google - when my experiences are ok or just good, but these guys should receive an extra star if Google only allows them to. They will always be my first choice if I do choose to buy or rent another property. Special mention to Nick and Rita!!!

The house we recently purchased in Bishop's Stortford was sold through Fordyce Furnivall. Nick was extremely professional throughout the whole process and was always willing to answer any questions we had or to meet us at the property for another viewing. It took us a while to find our dream house and during our property search we came into contact with a lot of different estate agents. Fordyce Furnivall were definitely one of the most helpful and professional we came into contact with and should we ever sell our property I wouldn't hesitate to use them.

Initially we looked at the newer internet based estate agencies with a lower fixed price which seemed tempting but their local experts weren't really local enough (chelmsford) and had no presence in stortford. The pricing structures and contracts from other agents put us off, with percentage based contracts which mean that at the price that houses sell for nowadays it becomes a significant sales expense. We chose Fordyce Furnivall because they had a simple pricing structure and local knowledge and presence. The bonus was that Nick and the team performed well over and above what we expected when we sold our house. Thanks again Nick, Sam et al.

My experience with Nick and his team has been nothing short of exceptional. Why on earth would you use a traditional fee charging Estate Agent at the rates they charge when you can use a modern, well run, unbelievably cost effective local agent that provides exactly the same service at far lower rates? They are professional, polite and punctual. Always answer calls, always deal with any questions quickly and make everything run smoothly. Don't think about it. Use Fordyce Furnivall now.

Really disappointed with this agent, we requested to view a property with them, they were short and abrupt on the phone, I couldn’t get a workable appointment (which to be fair isn’t their fault) but the chap claimed to call me back, which I never received, and didn’t bother to leave a message either. When I called back the same guy was just rude and couldn’t be bothered to help me, I explained my frustration to which he did apologise for making me feel that way, but all in all a very disappointing first impression.

Rita really took care of us when we wanting to start renting a property around September last year. Any issues we report them and are met with 5 star service. Extremely quick to help and get things sorted. We also had an inspection with her partner (I’m sorry but I can’t remember his name) and the inspection didn’t feel like they want to catch you out they genuinely want to find out if there’s anything that bothers you or any niggles you’ve noticed around the house. Very happy with the service we received and if we consider moving we will definitely be using this estate agent.
