Outstanding Service from Start to Finish! I recently rented a property through Pennycuick Collins, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. From the very beginning, the team was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful. A special shoutout to Ross, who went above and beyond to make the whole process smooth and stress-free. His knowledge, patience, and dedication were truly impressive, he was always available to answer my questions and kept me informed at every stage. If you’re looking for a reliable and efficient estate agency, I highly recommend. Their service is second to none!

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company. Their service is outstanding. I dealt with Sam Moxon, Auction Manager, and could not have wished for anyone better. He is totally professional, yet very caring. He bent over backwards to be helpful; nothing was too much trouble for him. He went way above and beyond what was expected of him. I can honestly say that this is by far the best company I have ever dealt with.

We have an apartment there. Pennycuick is not giving us access to the electric meters which has been locked. Its been months. Director of leasehold never reply to any emails. Property is not maintained and it is very poor condition. They are not giving complaints procedure.

I have to say this is the worst company that I have ever had dealings with. They were the management company in charge of the estate where my house is located, I was renting out my house and the tenant moved out so I put my house up for sale. At the time Pennycuick were responsible for providing information to support the sale. There are time limits set within their own company for the return of these papers and Pennycuick failed to provide them timely. Despite myself, my estate agent and my solicitor contacting them by phone and email, our requests were ignored and this caused delays resulting in the first sale falling through. This was very costly to me as I had to pay for the upkeep and bills at the location due to sale falling through. I raised an issue with their directors and had partial replies and then I was ignored. When I made a formal complaint, they again did not stick to the timeline for replying, and seemed to offer no concern for the situation they had put me in. I finally raised an issue with the Property ombudsman, who have written to them and they had provided updates on my issues. The matter has been resolved as a consequence of the ombudsman intervention. If you can, avoid this company. Thankfully they are no longer the management of the estate on my previous house, which I have now sold, so they cannot cause those residents any issues. My suggestion would be continue to complain if Pennycuick are not meeting your requirements, and don’t be afraid to get the property ombudsman involved to help you resolve your issue.

Very poor service from Pennycuick. My colleagues and I have been chasing responses for over three weeks with little success. The team repeatedly fails to follow basic procedures and, on the rare occasion you manage to speak with someone, they consistently over-promise and under-deliver. In addition, fees are frequently added to bills without justification, and even when these arise from their own mistakes, they refuse to acknowledge responsibility. As both a landlord and property manager, I strongly advise against instructing Pennycuick to manage any development. In my experience, they do not operate in the best interests of either freeholders or leaseholders.

Moving in was very quick and easy and they were generous with our move in date because we wanted to move in later and they accommodated that. Ross was the person we were in contact with and made everything move smoothly

Ross is a very nice person. He showed us the flat and gladly answered all our questions. His great customer service convinced us to make a decision right away. He was very helpful and we are happy to share the next years ahead in the flat. I am very happy with the service, Ross is amazing and great at his service.

Awful service company. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Please be wary of purchasing any leasehold property with Pennycuick Collins as the service company. Our service charge has increased from £1500 per year, to £2000 per year, to currently £3000 a year! They do not do the basics which you pay them to do. The photos speak for themselves. They never answer the phone or respond to voicemails or emails. Only time they are interested is when chasing the service charge payment. (You also pay towards the office by the way) If work happens they will leave huge ladders on site too. Beware!

I live in a building ‘managed’ by this company. There is little to no communication Beyond sending out frequent and ever increasing demands for money, the tone of which I find aggressive and antagonistic. They similarly fail to respond to requests for an explanation of money allegedly owed. They do not hold contractors to account for poor work e.g windows that remain stained for month after month, hedging that is overgrown to the extent that it stands over 7 feet high totally obscuring the view from my window, yet I am still required to pay a monthly charge for these services or be in breach of my lease. Ridiculously poor service.

Imagine receiving a bill demanding £800 with a threat of legal action if it is not paid within 7 days! (see pictures below). This company is treating its customers like cash cows. Soon I won't be able to afford to live in my own home. My service charge is nearly as much as my mortgage, this is out of control. The management of this whole situation is dispicable by pennycuick and especially Dawn redstone keegan. Staff never answer calls or emails, and generally disregard our opinion to the point we have had to resort to Google reviews to be listened to. Unfortunately I've had to post annomously as I fear I will be punished for it if they know who has posted. That's the sort of bullying tactics this company use. Avoid at all costs!

Looking for a property to rent. Ross was great! He called us up when a property meeting our requirements came up, we got to see the property as soon as it was available and got accepted before it even went on the market. Ross was available anytime for any questions we had, even when he was off sick. Was a quick and seamless process. Great service!

I rang up and enquired about a property that I had seen Ross managed to arrange a viewing the same day. The property looked even better in person I was very surprised how quick and efficient the admin process was. Communication was brilliant enabling us to chase up my references and secure a completion date within 48 hours. Ross was very informative and im very impressed with the friendly service from him and his team.

Bought a flat listed by Pennycuicks recently - Ross was a great agent to deal with and the flats in great condition. Good company when purchasing.

We rented a property in Stirchley until very recently, and Pennycuick were our letting agents. It was a very positive experience. The pandemic made it difficult to get some faulty fixtures fixed, but we were so happy living there that we weren't too fussed. The boiler once broke down in cold November weather and we were provided with electric heaters whilst it took about 5 days to fix. I thought that it was speedy service and I felt taken care of. We were treated fantastically by their staff, in particular Ross Parsons and Jack Anderson. Both were pragmatic, friendly, and refreshing after previously negative experiences with other letting agents in the area. If you choose Pennycuick Collins rented property, rest assured Ross and Jack will do their best to look after you. Highly recommended.

I was recently planning to move house and I was looking for a reputable company to assist me with this. I was told about Pennycuick Collins by a friend of mine and decided to instruct them to help with the sale of my house . Ross Parsons was the main contact for the move and from start to finish it was very quick and easy. Ross was very professional on the way he conducted himself and made what can be a very stressful time quick, simple and painless. I would certainly recommend Ross and Pennycuick Collins to anybody looking for a move.

Absolutely useless. The worst property managers in all of Birmingham. James Spong is particularly incompetent and does understand how to manage a diary or return phonecalls.

This company is by far the worst in the industry, Repeated phone calls go unanswered, and emails ignored. They have obligations and totally disregard them, Use this company at your peril. I am trying to sell a flat that they manage and ignore all my solicitors emails and have stopped answering phones. They have lost me two sales already and this possibly will be a third. A shambles of a company

No communication total stonewall by them. They take your money and you have nothing to show for it. One director of Claremont Estate is a judas. They dont fulfil contacted works. Won't respond to maintenance requests. Yet you pay for it all. Together the weak director and blatant PCC are not listening to the shareholders. This company needs taking down and a new directorship and management company is require imediately 💔

We have dealt with Pennycuick Collins for many years as they have managed our properties in Birmingham. Lucy Roberts and her team have supported us by dealing with all the day to day issues with the properties and were a great help when we had to evict a difficult tenant. Last year we decided to sell and Ross Parsons managed that very effectively for us, especially as we had some issues with the solicitors. We would not hesitate in recommending this firm to you.
