Without a doubt the most incompetent and self important people in the rental space.Do not touch them with a barge pole, and especially avoid Sue Birch like the plague, she was quite frankly unprofessional.

Calling this agency dynamic and responsive would be a gross exaggeration. You've got my emails and telephone number so don't be shy and call me!

Googleabsolutely not serious, it seems like they are not even interested in renting their properties. i went to the one in the city center (Colmore Row) more than once, asking for more informations (deposit, guarantees required) for some rent properties I saw having their signs on the door and i was interested in. First time, they asked for my email address saying they would write to me later with all the details, i didn't receive anything. I went a second time asking why they didn't write me and found out they had the wrong address (alright, not their fault this time). immediately after i was gone they sent me an email with some available properties, with just the rent price but nothing about the details i had asked for. I contacted them again, they told me they would call me back to let me know, but as ever they didn't. The last time I was so tired i asked for a last chance to have a viewing, even without knowing nothing but the rent price, thinking I could ask more to the agent the same day at the property. we decided the date and they told me they would call me to confirm the day before. Again, they didn't.

GoogleAmazing service! There isn't a single negative thing that I can say about my letting agent in John Shepherd-Lily. She has been extremely helpful during the entire process of agreeing a let as well as after the contract started. Also considering the amount of work that they have to do,I am always surprised how she manages to reapond to my emails in no more than a few hours. After seeing many property agencies who treat their clients very poorly ,I am so happy to have found JS because with them everything has been fast,easy and hassle free.

We rented a flat in a centre of Birmingham - quite expensive to be honest and the quality of the service we have received from John Shepherd was very poor, especially when we needed help with a few repairs. As someone already mentioned in one of the reviews before - the communication was very difficult and they didn’t take any responsibility for the lack of communication. We moved out 3 months ago and we are still waiting for our deposit. In addition, we are still waiting for a reimbursement of a repair invoice, which we managed on our own at the end because of the lack of service from their side. Not to mention that we had to consistently call and email to get anything done from their site! If I could give them minus stars I would as well!

GoogleThe most difficult estate agents possible to deal with. We had to consistently call and email to get serious electrical faults dealt with which took over 4 months to be rectified. Extremely difficult to communicate with and they didn’t take any responsibility for the lack of communication. We were passed around from person to person who never seemed to know what was going on. In the end we ended our contract early so that we didn’t have to deal with John Shepherd anymore. If I could give them minus stars I would.

GoogleBe very carefull when using this company, they lie to costumers and are extremmely unproffesional, if you are a landlord and this company is managing your property, call them and pretend you are interested you may get a surprise. The staff is unable to be accountable, and they lie instead of being proffesional.
