I'm so grateful for all your help managing my apartment, Reemi Yasmin (33 Colmore Row Branch). After some tough experiences with past RMs (except Tenille Biggs), it's been a breath of fresh air working with you. You and Tenille really listen and genuinely try to solve my issues, even when things are out of your control. I was especially impressed by how you saved me £1100 on the heater repair recently, thank you for that. Being an overseas landlord, having a passionate RM like you makes such a huge difference.

I recently moved into a rental property with John Shepherd and the process was handled really well. Sophia Tong was really accommodating, allowing me to view the property on a Saturday so as not to cause difficulties with my full time job. The process from viewing to finding out I had been accepted for the property was very fast and I was kept updated throughout, which I really appreciated. Gemma Davies was also very helpful with my initial queries and updates once I had passed referencing. Would recommend John Shepherd for renting :)

Do not use this letting agency or any properties that are rented out by these people. I pay rent every month, yet apparently having a reliably functioning toilet is an optional extra. The level of property management has been embarrassing. Constant chasing, repeated failed repairs…. still exactly where I started btw… with a broken toilet. Pray nothing in the property ever breaks, because you may discover just how many people it takes to not fix a toilet. If you’re considering renting through this agency, do me a favour. PLEASE DONT. They deserve to lose money and not get clients, as they treat them like garbage.

I wished i could give them a 0 star. They have misled me during viewing about the property which led on me signing a contract based on false pretence. introduced me to a dodgy landlord who has not only made my life hell during that short 4 weeks tenancy but has now ghosted me to refund my deposit and my rent and they are denying having any responsibility with it. Although they know I would not have taken that tenancy if they did not vouch for that landlord. Forced to now involve courts to hold them accountable for their bad practices. Just avoid even the properties they claim to manage they are very useless, i had a hot water issue once , took them 5 days to fix it and it was during winter time. Just avoid or take extra caution when signing with them.

Almost 2 years with this letting agency- my property manager is not very attentive. Their maintenance team can be unprofessional. (Once attended, and left lights on the property all day) Would not recommend to anyone - there are far better letting agents in Birmingham (my experience in the past). My intercom has never worked, fridge issues/delivery is now taking more than 2 weeks to be replaced, lift in my bldg always breaks down. I’m now liaising directly with the Landlord, doing things that should’ve been their job to liaise. Considering how much I’m paying for the property, it’s badly managed. I’ve changed property manager now - which she’s more prompt in response. Wish I never entered a contract with them. Planning to relocate in the next few months out of UK, otherwise I would’ve moved out long time ago.

Worst estate agent we have ever dealt with. Extremely unprofessional and lacking any duty of care towards tenants. Communication has been consistently poor, with delays in responding to emails and requests. Due to these issues, we decided to move out. However, the agency has since provided what we believe to be inaccurate and misleading information to the referencing company. Our bedroom has suffered from mould since the day we moved in over 18 months ago. Despite reporting the issue on numerous occasions, it was never resolved. Instead, we were repeatedly told that the matter was being chased with the property manager, but no effective action was ever taken. During the bank holiday, we were locked out of our bedroom and made every reasonable effort to contact the agency before instructing an independent contractor to assist. Despite our tenancy agreement stating that such costs would be reimbursed in these circumstances, the agency is now refusing to refund us. We have requested copies of correspondence sent to the landlord regarding these issues, but these have not been provided. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this agency to anyone.
