I found a property which l want to buy…

I found a property which l want to buy (now elderly and downsizing) But because l haven’t yet put my bungalow on the market it’s difficult to get a viewing. However, once l found Home Sales Direct l had an excellent and very helpful Sales man, Jordon, who managed to arrange this for me. Things have apparently become very different from when l last sold and bought my current home in 1997, and Jordon was so patient in explaining everything. I would highly recommend him and HSD.

Highly recommend if you need a quick sale at a fair price

Dealt with Louise Gildea and have no complaints whatsoever. HSD were upfront from the very start. They offered me a fair price for what I needed (a quick sale), and they didn't mess me about. There were no hidden charges or last-minute 'surprises'. The price they offered me at the start was the exact amount I received at the end (minus my outstanding mortgage amount, of course).

Bad experience

I had a very bad experience with this company selling a flat. They took a far larger commission than is reasonable even allowing for the fact that they specialise in selling difficult properties. The contract, which I didn’t see for a month after they started the process, gave no indication of the amount of commission they would charge. If you decide to go with the company, get this information in writing before agreeing to anything. The ombudsman found in my favour and I was awarded compensation. This did not make up the loss but at least gave the company hassle.

I have literally never dealt with such an awful company. The response to calls is appalling. I handed over 6k deposit and a non refundable fee. I called daily and left messages for people to get back to me. The frustration is unbearable. Incompetent is an understatement. They want you to complete within 8 weeks. 3 weeks in and promises to get back to me to let me know what’s going on, it took Connie 24 hours to discover the vendor had pulled out. Simon is useless and Jane the manager, you should be ashamed of yourself . She gave me her word she would get back to me and never did . She would never returned my calls and did nothing to help. Then said I couldn’t have my fee back ? After checking my contract I discovered I can and I am hoping that after waiting a further 2 weeks it will be returned along with my deposit. I’d say unless Connie is your contact steer clear she’s holding that company together
