GoogleWe had a generally positive experience dealing with Hadleigh estate agents. Ben and Leigh were very helpful and unlike other agents do try and give feedback on the success of your offer. I would certainly recommend them. I haven’t given 5 stars because they are sometimes slow at returning messages.

GoogleCalled to enquire about a flat, which was unavailable to view as undergoing some renovations. Left my contact details, called again to check they did not forget me, considering my urgency in finding an accommodation. The agent said they were still waiting to hear from the landlord. This was Friday. Monday morning I found out the property has been already let. Not a call nor an email to update me. Very unprofessional.

GoogleAs my six and a half years renting a property from Hadleigh comes to an end - due to moving away from Birmingham - I thought I'd write a quick review not least because my time with them has been fantastic. I've never had a problem with them, not even a minor gripe - for more than half a decade, they've always been super helpful and super approachable. The communication has been great and the management of the property has been superb - on the few occasions some sort of repair has been required, they've sorted it without any fuss or delay. There's never been any problems with the rent which has always been fair and reasonable in my opinion. Special mention goes to Tracy who has been a lovely, warm and really personable member of the team throughout my time with Hadleigh. Always happy, always helpful, she really is a credit to Hadleigh and those who work there. So if you are looking to rent a property in Birmingham and its surrounds, do give Hadleigh a look - they're highly recommended !!!

GoogleExtremely impressive care and service received from Samantha Martin during our application for a new property, following a few unlucky circumstances (current landlord selling and current letting agents giving us 6 weeks notice during a pandemic followed by a gas leak with a very late response and partial fix and many more frustrating events thereafter) Samantha has taken full care of my partner and I, restoring my faith in estate agents and care levels. GoogleSO POOR! Do not rent with. We did and they have been dishonest and incompetent. Some good workers but since Tracey not involved terrible - since we left the property avoided all contact. The landlords they work with will seek to remove all of your deposit ( despite paying for carpet, oven and flat cleaning) and our landlord entered our property illegally without warning during our tenancy. We paid £47000 over nearly 4 years renting, always ontime and despite paying for professional cooker/oven, flat and carpet cleaning the landlord was supported to seek 50% of our deposit. FacebookWhat can I say nothing but a disappointment from the moment we instructed Hadleighs on the sale of our property I would never recommend them , ended up going to auction even then we were misinformed on certain things, thankfully We will never have to deal with them again

GoogleAfter a poor experience with another local Harborne agent I couldn't have been more impressed with the professionalism and experience of Hadleigh estate agent throughout the whole process of selling our home. From the first listing appointment to the viewings and managing the chain they were first class throughout. Our's was a particularly difficult chain but this is when they really came to the fore managing the sale process and chain upwards and downwards. Ben in particular was superb and I felt was personally invested in what can be a stressful process. His communication, updates and determination were excellent and I couldn't rate him or the wider Hadleigh team higher and would highly recommend them to anyone. First class.

FacebookI am not one to do this normally, but I have been left in a very bad situation by this estate agent. I went to view a property with them and we loved it. We told them that our schedule was already quite tight, with only 2-3 weeks until we had to move out. I was told that it would be fine and we would definitely be able to move In a week before our move out date, subject to reference checks of course. I told them that we would like to start our application and was told that all that would need to be done prior to starting referencing would be confirmation from the landlord. I was told this would be a very quick process and would find out within the day. This took over a week. I rang them every single day, multiple times. I was told every time that it would be done by the end of the day or the day after at the latest. Every time I called I was told I would be kept updated, I wasn’t. Every time I rang I informed them of how time sensitive my situation was, and it was getting closer and closer to my own move out date. Each time I was told to hang on as the property wasn’t going anywhere and the landlord was not responding, most likely due to the fact that he was away, but not to worry as he would get back and would more than likely accept us as tenants in his house. I received a call, one week before my move out date at 5pm (at this point I couldn’t do anything regarding other property’s until the next day) informing me that the landlord had decided to go private and that I was best off looking for somewhere else and they ‘wished me the best’. I called the estate agent back, who had been dealing with us the entire time, (not naming names) in tears. I asked him if out of curtesy to us he could pass our number to the landlord so we could negotiate with him, as it was the estate agents fault that I was in this position. I was told that he couldn’t do that. I even offered to pay him his fees for this. He told me that he would see what he could do and ring me back. This was two days ago and I doubt he ever intended to actually call me back, nor did he feel any sympathy toward me in a situation of which I felt he caused. I’m a reasonable person, I understand that these things happen and the landlord was the one not getting back in contact with the estate agents. What is most frustrating is that when I spoke with them everyday, they continued to give me genuine confidence by implying that the landlord would be happy with everything and had nothing to worry about. In my final call with the estate agent, he told me that ‘he had a feeling that the landlord would do something like this’. So after they continued to give me confidence and was eventually let down, they provided me with no help at all, in terms of helping with a situation that they put me into. The agent, I felt, seemed like a genuinely nice guy. So I can’t help but feel upset that he has no empathy or care for someone who he has left in a frightening situation. I viewed a house the next day, obviously with another agency and am currently in the process of referencing with them. They don’t feel as though this will be done in time and I am now going to be left without a house, and a truck full of furniture and belongings, for at least 4 days. The house I am moving to matches few of my needs, but was the only one I could manage to get on such short notice (to put this into perspective, I viewed around 15 properties in total). I am absolutely heart broken with the situation I have been left in due to dealing with this agency. Myself nor my partner are originally from the area and have no family who can help us out in the situation we find ourselves in, given that we have to be situated in Birmingham for work. I really, truly hope no one has to go through the ordeal that I have been faced with, by a company that does not seem to have any interest in providing genuine help when looking for a new home.
