We honestly cannot thank the Team at Drakes enough for everything they did to sell my Aunts house in Hall Green. What should have been a simple sale turned into a very long, stressful journey, with the sale falling through twice for reasons completely beyond Drakes Control. Through all of this, they never gave up on us. From the very beginning, Louise handled the valuation, photos, and initial set up with such care and professionalism. As the process continued, Emma & Lexley were incredible as sales progressors. Endlessly patient, reassuring, and proactive, always chasing, updating, and dealing with every issue that arose. We also had dealings with April, who was always helpful and supportive. There were many moments where this sale felt overwhelming, but the team at Drakes kept us going, stayed positive, and ultimately made it happen. Third time really was lucky for us, and completing at last felt like a huge relief. One we genuinely owe to their hard work and determination. This is a fantastic team of ladies who truly care about their clients. We are so grateful for everything they did and cannot recommend Drakes Highly Enough.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish with Drakes. Louise came to take our photos initially & was very pleasant. We then dealt with Emma, April & Lexley during our sale. We sold within a few months of being listed with Drakes. Emma, Lexley & April were all prompt at getting back to us with any questions we had & we believe they really pushed our sale onwards. They chased solicitors for us & provided many updates along the way. Our sale was fairly complex being shared ownership & leasehold, so we are grateful to Drakes for really helping things run smoothly. We wouldn’t hesitate to use your services again in the future! 👍🏻

Drakes are brilliant, you’re in good hands! We recently sold our property through Drakes, and what we thought would be a fairly straightforward sale turned into a bit of a stressful journey when our original buyer pulled out at the last minute (nothing to do with Drakes!). We were under pressure to secure a new buyer quickly so that we didn’t lose our onward purchase, and this is where Drakes really stepped up to the plate. Cool-headed Emma remained reassuring throughout, guiding us through a difficult situation while handling the marketing with exceptional professionalism. We were genuinely blown away by the level of interest Drakes had generated and the number of house viewings arranged in such a short space of time. Anne, April and Kayleigh carried out all the viewings and were always friendly, polite, approachable, and professional. We never had any doubts that they were showing our home in it’s very best light. Once we secured a new buyer, our sales progressor, Lexley, supported us every step of the way. We have just recently sold and completed our property sale through Emma and the fantastic team @Drakes. I won’t hide the fact that our daughter is co-owner of Drakes Estate Agents, I can honestly say that I don’t know of anyone else who works so hard to get sales through to completion and I don’t just mean our sale. Emma went above and beyond chasing our buyers estate agent and solicitors for constant updates and even chased the first time buyers solicitors for updates when they wouldn’t return calls and emails to our buyers estate agents. Without Emma’s constant chasing throughout our chain I really don’t think our sale and purchase would have gone through. The ladies in the office are approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

AVOID Our experience with Drakes was disappointing from start to finish. Communication was poor throughout the entire process, despite being promised regular updates and weekly market reports. These were inconsistent at best, and only received a handful of follow up calls during the entire three months our property was listed with them. One particularly unacceptable incident involved a member of their staff allowing a viewer to bring a dog into our home without any prior warning or consent. We have a pet free home, this was especially distressing as my wife has a serious allergy to dogs something that should have been handled with basic professionalism and care. While the directors did acknowledge this was unacceptable, we requested to be released from our contract immediately to allow us to get on with another agent that could get our house sold yet they refused making this process even more stressful than it needed to be. Shortly after without any notification, the “For Sale” sign was removed from our property with over three weeks still remaining on our agreement leaving us confused and further frustrated by the lack of transparency. Throughout communication remained inconsistent, and key commitments like weekly calls and updates were rarely fulfilled. Overall our experience with Drakes was an unprofessional service, poor communication, and a lack of basic courtesy and accountability. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. For those who take the time to research, a noticeable pattern emerges with Drakes properties. They are often listed at an initially inflated price, followed by gradual reductions over time. Additionally, a significant number of their sales appear to fall through with many properties returning to the market shortly after being marked as sold. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.
