Steven helped me recover my deposit.

I’m glad to inform that Steven, the senior manager working for BP auctions called me himself, and said they would refund my deposit of GBP 5,400 as it was not their fault but rather the sellers solicitor for the flat 1, 15 Hartington Road. BP policy don’t say a seller can charge “unlimited amount” after auction is ended, and in my case the sellers solicitor was charging 14,000 GBP in addition to the auction price. The winning action price was 11,000, and that is against BP auctions policy so Steven terminated our contract and listened to my concerns and handled it professionally, and I am expected to receive my deposit on Monday.Update: deposit of 5,400 have been fully and completely received. Thank you Steven.

A complete SCAM!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Honestly do not purchase any properties from this SCAM company, they will leave you high and dry with nothing!!! They take your deposit once you bid and win, but guess what? NO HOUSE!! Also beware of all these fake five star reviews from their employees and associates (solicitor etc.), they also buy fake reviews and this is why they have so many five star reviews. There is no Colin, James, Rodrigo, Miranda or whoever else these reviews mentioned by name, working there! DO NOT trust this and do not bid!!!!

Completed the property buy with in the allotted 28 days :) Staff were friendly and quick to respond. Before bidding on a property, read the legal pack and have your legal representative ready and waiting before bidding on a property. Buying at an online property auction you have tight deadlines to meet so make sure you have everything in place and you will have a great experience. I personally will definitely be using BP Auctions in the future Many thanks to Steven for his help on completion day and the rest of the staff there during the process

BP AUCTION ARE SCAMMERS

My experience with BP Auction was incredibly frustrating, especially in terms of their lack of transparency and high-pressure tactics. I was pressured into putting down a deposit to "secure" a property that I hadn’t even had the chance to view or examine the legal pack for. This approach felt extremely unethical and rushed, leaving me feeling trapped and uneasy from the start. When I asked for more information on the property, including the legal pack, I was given minimal details and encouraged to "act quickly" to avoid losing the opportunity. Despite repeated requests, I wasn’t provided with enough background on the property or even allowed the time to properly assess what I was investing in. The whole process felt manipulative, as if they were more focused on pushing deposits than offering a legitimate, buyer-friendly experience. After the deposit was down, communication from BP Auction became even more difficult, with delayed or generic responses that didn’t address my concerns. For anyone considering BP Auction, I would caution you to be very careful and not fall for their high-pressure tactics. There are far better, more transparent auction houses out there where buyers' rights and questions are respected.

Beware of Fraudulent Practices at BP Auction My experience with BP Auction has been nothing short of fraudulent. I participated in a bid where I was the third-highest bidder and did not win. However, shortly after, I received multiple calls from their team, practically begging me to accept the offer. Despite my initial reluctance, I proceeded with the purchase. Once the deal was finalized, I was shocked to see inflated fees on the completion statement, including an unjustified charge for two years of tenancy payments. When I requested clarification, the property was suddenly resold to another buyer at a higher price, and my deposit was taken without explanation. Adding to the suspicion, I noticed that the same property has been repeatedly relisted, making it clear that this is part of a deliberate scheme. I strongly advise anyone considering using BP Auction to stay away. Their unethical and deceptive practices are designed to take advantage of honest buyers. What a scam, what a scam, what a scam. Accompanied that just want to absolutely ruin the general human being out there that works hard. Purchased a property at 28,000 and was very happy to have done so looking at the downloads it was showing £116 areas on the service charge. I had called in and asked them what is the service charge they had told me £100, that was not correct. It was £200 every six months which still when I saw that didn’t phase me too much. I paid an 8000 deposit and £1400 fee . I am currently going to Cancer so have a lot of stress related to that right now. And then the stress developed over the next three weeks I felt like I just wanted to die. I get told by my solicitor there is £116.that is fine She then comes to me and says no there’s also a sellers fee of 6995 and an auction fee of 7000. I told her I didn’t know what I was going to do. I didn’t have all of that money. I couldn’t do anything. I didn’t have that , money. I managed to borrow it from my friend. And then was told by my solicitor I have another completion statement and that was over £4000 in arrears on top of these additional charges. She claimed that she thought it was 116 and she gone back to the solicitor for the seller And they were not answering about the £4000 in arrears. I spoke to BP Auctions they said they’d see if they could get a reduction from the seller and then came back and said no. Also at the beginning before the Auction I had asked for a viewing and was told I couldn’t have a viewing as the estate agent was on holiday, I’ve never ever known an estate agent on holiday but okay. And then when I did one viewing afterwards, I was told no viewings the sellers will not allow a viewing. Part of the contract that I Saw So the purchaser has to have view the property and make sure that they are happy but I was unable to do as I was told I couldn’t get in because of the estate agent being on holiday so I did not have an option to View this company is an absolute joke. They are doing this time and time again to everybody. Just check out all the reviews and check out rip off Britain season 15 episode 33. This is happening to lots of people. I also found that even though I had supposedly bought this property that they still had it on the website and people were still bidding on it. In fact when I asked them they said all day was a problem with their IT department and they couldn’t take it down that property also sold to somebody else at 44 750. Is that Person still buying this property as well? Did they exchange as well as me on this one? How will I ever find out . I will be taking Legal are things that they have hidden in the contract. It is not clear at all. It’s only clear that you pay £1400 auction fee. Why is it all of the people that have put a one star experience on this Trust pilot have had exactly the same problems with the same sellers fees same sellers cost same option fees and all with huge arrears. It screams, scam scam scam. Thank you, BP for screwing over a human being and others as well but in my case a lady who is struggling now to actually manage to work because of cancer and cancer treatment, you’ve taken all my life savings,£9400 in total , I hope you can sleep at night which I’m sure you do because you don’t care

This auction house is the most unprofessional in the UK I've ever come across The people are ignorant & uneducated Have no phone manners & unable to answer simple questions Accused me of being on the phone for 30 mins asking questions I never asked I was not on the phone for anywhere near 30 mins & only asked 'One' question, which was : Once I've registered for one property, how do I then register for other properties? Pls,I am new to the action, I am currently looking at a flat for auction on Bp Action... I am interested... but my concern is, I watched this same property actioned early last month and someone won it..... although I felt it would have been a good buy for me then. But this same flat is backed on auction now..... makes me wonder what went wrong with the person who won it last time. A friend of mine appears to have been involved in some type of misunderstanding with a BP auction.. he’s paid over £9000 for a deposit, but now over £13000 in hidden charges have appeared… hopefully it’s a mistake of some kind … we’ve contacted the BBC today … we shall see, So I’ve had a reply from BP auctions this morning, saying nobody has made a £9000 deposit lately and this post is cleary defamation, well in reply to you: I didn’t say it was £9000 as you can clearly see, I said it was over £9000, £9400 to be exact on the 24th January.He’s contacted the BBC yesterday, they’ve replied saying they’ll be in touch in the next day or so, hopefully bp auctions will contact my friend and do the honourable thing .Trust pilot have now asked for details of the alleged misunderstanding. Was hesitant to use with reading the reviews but sale went through without any problems. Not sure where the scams are with legal packs or the properties that are being brought. My solicitor didn’t see any problems with the legal pack, maybe the solicitor I chose, knows what they’re doing. All my questions were answered without any delay and found the overall experience good. They scammed me.They hid an extra £12,000 for costs without breaking it down. They also used the chance of my solicitor's lateness by six minutes to cancel the transaction and pocket my £9400.00. Absolute scammers

Absolute scam and it is not just these both the property sellers and gls solicitors is all in on it. Pressure you into putting deposit down which then acts as your signed contract and then give you the extortionate legal pack where they rob you out of twice what you have paid. Solicitors have no contact with buyers solicitor until the last few days where they are basically threatening you to pay and close the deal or they will take action If any one takes legal action feel free to contact me
