If I could give a 0 star rating I…

If I could give a 0 star rating I would...My partner and I rent a flat from this sham of an agency. They were all about communication up until we handed over our last part of the deposit and agency fees. After this they were gone with the wind. We have been dealing with mould which they said they would fix before we moved in and a broken radiator in the bedroom to compliment the freezing wooden flooring in the mornings. We have spent most weeks trying to follow up with Countrywide regarding these matters and not a word or visit to address the issues. It makes us laugh how we pay so much in agency fees for what...?Sort it out and start addressing your customers respectfully and responsibly.

Use a map. Keep britain tidy.

I would just like them (Hucknall branch) to stop littering our neighbourhood with their signs. They put them up and when they let the property they just get chucked at the side of the road. They put a sign up outside my neighbours house 2 weeks ago and it wasnt even to let. They got the wrong flipping street. They said they would move it but didnt and now its just laying there.Then they stick a flyer through my letterbox claiming they are successfully letting property in our area. NO. YOU ARE NOT. YOUR ABILITY TO READ STREET NAMES SUCKS AND YOU ARE LITTERING!

Landlords, be careful

Landlords, beware of the accounts department from Romford branch. They just take the rental payments and never pay the full amount to the landlords.Simply they will make up something in their portal but never explain anything.Never experienced this kind of issues with any other management company.Very unprofessional and below standard service.

Landlords avoid this company at all costs, 0 Professionalism, 0 accountability, no property inspections over a year, rent arrears despite being told the tenant was in a guaranteed rent scheme, I deeply regret having any involvement with them, I can only equate it to being trapped in a series of the Apprentice.

Absolutely disgusted with the pushiness

Absolutely disgusted with the pushy customer service skills at the Sutton Coldfield branch of Bairstow Eves. Rang up several times to view a property, left a message and ended up ringing back again. Finally got to speak to someone and was quickly transferred to a mortgage advisor. I repeated severalctimes that I wanted a viewing yet was told Icould only view if I had a discussion with their mortgage advisor. I told them I already had a mortgage in principle yet was told they were trying to get me the best deal. I repeated I only wanted to view, not make an offer or give my details. I won’t ever yse Bairstow Eves and would rather miss out on a property than be forced to give my details. Much better to use an online estate agent like Purple Bricks and avoid the pushiness.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! Several problems since the beginning. They didn't let us into the new property the day agreed knowing perfectly that we were leaving our current flat that day and we had a baby. Then after 5 days we could eventually go in there but the house was disgustingly dirty (we made a phone call the previous day to ensure about the cleanness of it and they confirmed it was when actually in wasn't). All what they were able to say was "the landlord is responsible, nothing we can do". So I don't understand which is the job of an estate agent and how they justify the fee they askThey paid me off £200 out of the £500 fee (what a miserable treatment) Then most of the jobs we agreed weren't been done at our entrance and any time we are reporting an issue to be resolved, it is a nightmare to get that done, months and months of nothing (no radiator in the bedroom for 5 months, of course winter time). No humanity or professionalism at all

Do not sell with Bairstow Eves, for you and your potential buyers sake.

No one answers the phone.E-mails not replied to.The online system does not work.I thought I had viewings booked, but I did not get any confirmation E-mails after using the system. After several days of trying to get through via the phone and E-mail, I finally get a callback to be informed that my viewings had not been booked... I said forget it then as I was unavailable any other time the weekend. I then receive e-mails confirming viewings for the properties at different times! Awful experience. If that was me selling my house, I'd be even more furious. This was the Acocks Green branch.

Good luck getting deposit back!

I recently ended a 4 year stay in a furnished flat. Upon leaving I requested my £800 security deposit back at which point they managed to come up with a list of repairs etc that totalled 95% of my deposit. This was despite a full clean including carpet and oven etc taking place prior to leaving. I dread to think how much they would have charged if I'd left it in a mess. Would avoid using this company again completely as they obvious always intended to keep full deposit regardless of final condition. Currently seeking legal advice to get my money back.

Failed property purchase

I tried to purchase a property through Bairstow and Eves in Grays, was promised a quick 2 months sale after the offer was accepted, after close to 3 months I received a call from my solicitor that the sellers have decided to keep the property. No one from Bairstow Eves thought it would be important to also inform me, and a week later I now see that the same property is back on the market advertised by the same agency.They have failed to inform me while the property was originally advertised that even though it was a freehold house, there was a management company involved with maintaining the square. When asked about it, I was told that they were not aware of it, besides I should not worry about it because it will be a small amount anyways. As expected, the management company slowed down the sale and refused to release any information until the sellers paid all the money they owed to them. I'll give them 2 stars instead of one since this was not entirely the agent' fault as the sellers have been extremely difficult to deal with, however there is no excuse for not keeping me updated about why the sale fell through and why the property is back on the market all of a sudden.

Rubbish!

Rubbish!Booked a valuation via their online portal and had confirmation back it was in the diary. Shortly after got a phone call asking to reshuffle half an hour later. I agreed I could do it provided they were out within the hour (I had another appointment).I was promised a call back......sure enough no call back, no one turned up at the suggested times, no one rang to confirm, apologise, reorganise. If they can't even do something as simple as book a valuation or turn up for an appointment or bother to pick up the phone or drop an email, what hope is there for them to sell your home.Why are estate agents so appalling at basic communication and treat the people who generate their commision with such contempt.

I’ve only had limited experience with estate agents but I can’t believe you’ll find many worse than this shower of incompetent lying fraudsters.I’m not going to bore you with the intricacies of my experience with them, just to say - they don’t act as instructed, they lie to cover their tracks and then, after being sacked, they attempt to steal your money.I sincerely hope this company go out of business. Avoid like the plague.

Terrible agent bairstow eves ( medway parade , perivale )

About Bairstoweves, Perivale, Medway parade location :I put offer on the house, was accepted. They pressurize me to use their financial service, which I accepted. I met Mr. A Kakkar, their financial advisor, on 2 different occasions. It was useless. I couldn’t any competence in him. I decided to take another mortgage broker. After that Mr. Kasru Ali, agent was dealing with the case, tried continuously to cancel the deal. He was terrible. He was always treating there is higher offer than yours available. He was telling you should be lucky to get the House. Anyway after I paid for my mortgage, solicitor, valuation and survey. Based on survey report I asked for £5k reduction. On this stage they cancelled the deal and find another “offer”. They caused to loose the house, pay around £2000, and affect my credit score and waste of 3 months time. Never deal with them. They are false and dangerous. Before dealing with this estate agent read the independent reviews in various homepages.

Unorganised branch in walsall

I used yhem to rent a property and it was a nightmare now I have left the property and trying to get back my deposit for over a month now. I heard nothing from them. I tried to contact them they said they will get back to me nothing!! I contacted them today and asked for the manager I was told the manager is on the phone and if they can help. I explained my situation, he then told me there's nothing the manager can do about it and gave me the number of the deposit team that I should contact and sort it then slammed the phone down. Surely if I went through the estate agent to rent the property paid my deposit shouldn't they sort all that out when you leave the property. They sending me elsewhere to sort it out myself.My contract ended on the 18th of August I then gave my notice to leave ending of June all of a sudden they contacting me a few times on when will I be leaving the property. I then gave back the keys to the property on the 5th of July. Well before the contract ended even though I had to move out the property well before July because of the mould and damp which caused my one year old to have asthma. I am just disappointed with my overall experience and it's only fair I get my deposit back.

Worst Agency (not even 1 star)

I had rented a property through Bairstow Eves, Leytonstone. They showed us the property with lots of issues, when contacted for repairs after moving in they refused to repair by saying Landlord has no money.At the time of Inventory check nobody showed up. They even gave us the wrong keys. So we had to wait one week to move in without properly checking the things in it. We moved in with our 2 month old baby. Because of broken windows (hall, kitchen, bedroom) baby got fever, cold and cough. Property has broken cupboards, broken windows, broken furniture, broken bathtub, No cold water with extremely hot water for shower. We sent them an email about issues and they took 2-3 weeks to respond and to acknowledge. So we have to vacate the property after 2 months with their response 'Issues too extensive to repair'. When we asked for deposit after vacating the property, initially they said the issues were caused by us by blaming us and not given deposit for 3 months. After sending repetitive mails and raising the dispute with myDeposits.co.uk they agreed to refund. We have lost our deposit with no fault from our side.

Disingenous - the truth is a stranger to this lot

In 2014 I was looking for a property for a friend who is abroad a lot - saw two flats marketed by Bairstow Eves in B46. Staff were effusive. Turned up on time. Pleasant and charming. But they were unable to be straightforward, assuring me that the (frankly grotty) flats were in great demand and they had received offers near the asking price. It turned out that they did not have formal instructions to market one and the other was a health hazard. And when my neighbour bought his flat through them it turned out that they had got, shall we say, muddled about what he was buying.....for him to tell the story....

We are midway through the sale process with Bairstow Eves and so far so good! Each member of the team has been approachable, welcoming and determined to help in every way possible. They arranged viewings before the sale details were even printed or the the house was listed on the internet and due to their hard and fast approach, the house sold very quickly for the amount we wanted to achieve. I would 100% recommend the agency on the basis of the service we have received to date.

I sold my house with Bairstoweves ,,it was sold for a very low price for a quick sale I needed ,they told me if I use their recommended solicitors thw commission I have to pay would be less. They work with Cavendish legal group...they are the most useless law company ever..you can never reach tger either by phone ...the whole experience was awful.

DO NOT let from this agent. They are most unprofessional; they lie in order to take your money for services that they claim to provide, but DO NOT. They will tell you anything in order to take your money. The letting agents assured me of many things before letting my property; promising damaged flooring would be replaced, access to the property would be improved ("planning permission is in the final stages"), bath seals would be repaired. Among many others. I had a major water pipe burst, saturating a major supporting wall; the letting agents (whom prior to letting the property to me assured me that the property was FULLY managed by themselves) heartlessly said that there was nothing they could do, they couldn't help me. After my first year of letting from this agent I opted to leave; and find other accommodation. My landlady gave me a false, and negative reference (stating that I had deliberately damaged the property) stunting this move. Again, the letting agent said that they could not help; they did not care, thus forcing me to continue the let (with the landlady refusing to fix the damaged property, it was up to myself and my wife to find the money to patch up the damage). Utterly appalled by the service provided by this agent. I urge anyone NOT to let from this agent. I hope these cheating manipulative animals sleep comfortably in their cold beds.
