Buying a home is one of the most important life decisions you have totake so having a professional who can guide you through the process is vital. I was extremely lucky as I had Lynette from the Canterbury office to assist me with the viewings. She was very knowledgeable about the properties and patient with my observations and feedback, accepting both with interest and good humour. She always sensed when to give me more time to look around but never really tried to persuade when she sensed a lost cause. Something many estate agents could learn from. Both Louise and Karen were very supportive during the process which spanned nearly five months, the developer was less than transparent and a tricky customer stating that the property would be finished within a month of payment of the reservation fee … both Louise and Karen ploughed on regardless and kept me on board .. I must admit I considered pulling out on many occasions. Well done

We cannot fault Miles and Barr in Broadstairs.From our first meeting with Sarah and explaining we had a tight time line to sell, to then accepting an offer in a short space of time. Their attention to detail and regular updates have been invaluable. The agents that carried out our viewings, Alan, Hermoine and Tyler showed absolute respect for our property and dealt with the viewings in a professional manner. Throughout the whole experience the total dedication of Annie the Deputy manager has been exceptional. Annie has without doubt gone above and beyond to help us get where we needed to be within our time frame, we simply cannot thank her enough. Near a year of leaking

I moved into a property that had leaks and doors hanging off. The first leak was fixed after a week of dripping all in the bathroom. There was damp in my fitted wardrobes which is from the bath leaking. I moved in last October and this issue is still on going. I have been more than passionate… no duty of care for the people renting.

Avoid

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Will try and get you to sign a pre agency agreement and baffle you with terminology that they arent sure of themselves. They send roud a junior to value first then double up by asking if the Manager or senior can visit you. Be VERY VERY careful with what they get you to sign. ALso avoid the Sole selling rights agreements - these are a stitch up. Even if you sell your house to a friend or family member up to a year later they will try and claim their fee.

A very unprofessional, uncaring company. I would not recommend to anybody.

I have rented my house out with full management service for the past year.Upon checkout they sent me an itinerary of things that were required to be done. I told him exactly what needed to be done by the tenant and what I would do. In regards to the tenant the place is left filthy, damage to doors, damage to floors, rubbish left in property, garden left unsightly, items left in property, furniture in every room, moved and not put back. The place generally looks horrendous. It was like a show home when it was let out. Of which miles and bar took photographs. I told them all these issues had to be resolved through the tenant. But no they're asking me to pay up front for all the damages and then they may be able to get money back from tenant. Even though I'm pretty sure they have already released deposit. I have emailed, telephoned, but there is no resolution. As a company they do not care. This is caused me such an incredible amount of stress. This is called me an incredible amount of upset. I also told them to not do any more viewings because I did not want anyone seeing my property in such a state. And yet again they have ignored me and continued with viewings.Obviously no one has taken the property due to the issues.These are a very untrustworthy company and I'm extremely upset about the situation. I doubt whether they will resolve it at all. I know I will end up having to do all the work myself.

What a miserable experience the last few months have been. Issues ignored or I am told to try to manage it on my own. I feel so unsupported. Speculating that landlords love them because they never share the issues with them... I don't know how they manage to get the houses when they manage them so poorly.
