Calderwood development

Dear future buyers please be careful When selecting this builder. Do not get bought by “amazing” space and garden rooms. The quality of the build is comparable to BASIC poor material and finishes. The customer SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST. If tou really like the house get ready to chase on a daily basis to people who ignore you, provide unprofessional service and advice. We moved in a year and a half ago and STILL not half way through. Robertson’s caused damage to our house by rectifying the snags and what is worst installed a defective item. I just cannot stress enough to warn you what you are signing yourself up to. We live in the calderwood estate so please you are welcome to knock on ANY neighbours door and hear the truth. The sales team will make promises that senior people are involved in the development and things are escalated and addressed- LIE! We had from scratched grass to no flush windows that put through draft and robertsons fake promises to fox it before winter AGAIN. Our heating system was not working (winter time) and we needed to buy and replace it at our own cost as it took ages for Robertson to respond and they still haven't. If you think the CeO cares or you will cc all the top shots, trust me they do not care. No one never took our concerns seriously. I genuinely do not understand how much they bribe to get those awards as from trust pilot you can see 55% 1 score and if it would be -100 i would give them!

Robertson's Homes - Wynyard Estate

Robertson Home's after sales support has been non-existent. When we moved in our home 2 years ago we were advised that the Robertson promise was that any snagging items (of which there were many!) would be resolved within 28 days. Well, 803 days later we are still waiting... Calls to Customer Care go to answer machine, emails go unanswered. Their hope seems to be that we will just give up and fix our remaining issues ourselves (not happening). They have very little tradespeople directly hired by Robertson's so all snagging is carried out by subcontractors who either lack the skill, time, parts or inclination (or a combination of all 4) to resolve any issues. This is not how it should be and its not what we were sold. If Robertson's put half the effort into after sales customer care that they do into Marketing their new properties to unsuspecting customers all would be well!

ROBERTSONS AT WYNYARD

READ OTHER REVIEWS. ROBERTSON HOMES AT WYNYARD JUST OFFER PROMISES - THE REALITY IS QUITE DIFFERENTAfter nearly 2 years of constant empty promises by a revolving door of salespeople and site managers, we, two of the homeowners at Phase 1 in Wynyard for Robertson homes have been reduced to protesting outside the sales office opened for Phase 2! The snagging list for our house, supposed to be looked at in 7 days by Robertson’s and completed soon after is still ongoing. We have lost countless days of work due to tradespeople in and out of our house. Because of that, the house does not feel like we own it, and there is still a lot to do. This ‘luxury’ house we were sold, certainly does not have luxury walls, joinery, painting, tiling or carpeting. We along with others have experienced leaks through two ceilings, roof tiles falling off, on one occasion, just missing us by a minute as we had been sat out there, and it appears that after nearly two years, they are only just getting round to landscaping, despite promises of it happening in November 2022, and most probably because they have Phase 2 to sell. In some places the snagging list you provide again and again is ‘botched at best’. After sales service is non existent. They promise you the earth at the sales part of the transaction, say untruths about tradespeople, products and where future building will go (‘No they will never build on the deer run, they couldn’t!’ is just one untruth told to us, oh hello Phase 2!) then hibernate when things go wrong, burying their heads by not answering calls or emails for months on end. Lots of added extras paid for by us were still not installed until summer of this year. Robertsons appear to employ incompetent tradespeople who are unqualified for the job and when they do turn up (it’s not always a given despite them booking it in), do not have the correct parts, the tools, and sometimes make things worse than they were previously. (We had to lend a decorator a ladder cloths and brush to paint a part of the ceiling.)Zero training given to salespeople - zero communications given to tradespeople which is why there is ZERO care given to customers who part with their hard earned money, because once they have that, it appears you are left on your own. If you don’t believe us, come down and speak to ‘The Real Houseowners of Wynyard’! We will have the kettle on, (hopefully)!

Robertson homes Wynyard Estate are the…

Robertson homes Wynyard Estate are the most uncaring company I have ever come across. What a totally frustrating process and 12 months to date. The customer care is dreadful - non-existent would be a better description.Recently, I have sent several e-mails to the customer care department reminding them of things that needed to be fixed, I got the usual we will be touch in 48 hours - ten days later and one follow-up email (with the same response), they have still not had the courtesy to respond. I have now sent 12 months of unanswered emails to NHBC resolution to see if they can intervene! If you are thinking of purchasing a house on the new Robertson's Wynyard Estate please rethink - they will tell you that they have changed their customer care department (we were told this recently) please don't believe them.I could not recommend this company to anyone.

DUNBAR NEWTON MANOR

From first viewing the show-home at Dunbar, Newton Manor to picking the plot and extras for the house the staff have been excellent with their advice and communications throughout to finally settling in to my new home. Lyndsay, Jenny and Karen have been fantastic with advice on picking tiles, flooring and the kitchen extras and keeping in regular contact with the various stages of the build and always been on hand to answer the many questions and concerns we had throughout the process. It really has been an exciting journey that we have been made feel a big part off and now we can relax in a high quality home.

Robertson’s at Wynyard

Our dream home has become a nightmare. After 16 months and more than 80 trades we still do not have a finished room in our ‘luxury’ home.Show homes and marketing are phenomenal, but the reality is far from the glossy brochure!Robertson Homes are the WORST company I have ever come across and cannot believe they are still in business. Once they have your money they run for the hills. Almost every house in the small development of 39 houses has had major issues, most of which are still waiting to be fixed. They are now building another 143 houses……..my advice, don’t be fooled by their sales tactics, buying from Robertson’s means years of hassle and misery, for which you have paid a massive premium and will be lucky if you ever get fixed!!!

Wynyard - Woeful after-sales, shambolic landscaping

Beautiful home. Well thought out and designed.Sales process makes everything look fantastic. Plenty of glossy brochures and promises and how everything will be seamless and stress-free and all supported by a superb after-sales service.BUTOnce the money is handed over the story is totally the opposite. 120 snags ranging from windows that don't close, garage that floods, plasterboards and decoration to be redone, water leaks through the ground floor ceiling etc etc. I fixed over half of these myself in an attempt to move forward. About 30 abandoned in an attempt to make the list shorter. The other 30 gradually worked through with the developper but for many planned visits no-one turns up, or someone who says it's not their job or someone who is clearly not competent for the job. If you work, this is an absolute nightmare. We are not of any value to Robertson Homes but rather the contrary.Constant changes to site management and customer care reps leads to loss of information and planning and then the whole thing needs to be restarted. How RH can publicly claim to be ISO9001 certified is beyond my comprehension - there is absolutely no survey of customer satisfaction and no evident processes in place. I wonder if company management knows the level of dissatisfaction but simply do not want to know or do not want it in writing. Management certainly never appears or shows any interest, but give the impression of hiding far away behind the junior staff.Wynyard Phase 1 landscaping is shambolic and a disgrace. To compare, please go and see the Bellway Homes estate at Wynyard. Robertson Homes appears to have no pride in the product - when the flagpoles were taken down the ground supports were simply left sticking from the ground, and still there. No-one checks or cares about anything. The pathway between the houses is a shambles. Overgrown mess hiding piles of building debris including broken barriers. My advice - keep away unless you want some years of stress. What a shame - it would be so easy for Robertson Homes to fix this issue that is apparent throughout the Phase 1 development. I actively encouarge RH to take the steps to sort these Phase 1 issues and have an estate of satisfied customers.

Do NOT buy from this company!!!!We have a 6 year old Robertson house with a roof that leaks like sieve, looks like it was built by the cast of the muppets on a Friday afternoon.Water penetrating 3 upstairs room including a child’s bedroom and a wooden roof structure soaking and mouldy.Biggest mistake you will ever make, just don’t.

Hamilton Heights

Moved into the Hamilton Heights development late December. The sales team (Gillian) were really helpful from the outset to purchase. The house itself is really nice, with a high standard of finish. As you'd expect there is some snagging, but Russell and Brett have provided excellent site aftercare as we worked through the list. Both have been professional and really friendly and accommodating.Based on what I've experienced so far, I would recommend Robertson Homes.

Professional & friendly service from start to finish.

I'm a big believer in 'do what you say you're going to do' and the team at Hamilton Heights certainly do that. We moved into our new home in May and as with any new purchase of this scale, we've experienced some snagging but Russell and Brett have acknowledged and dealt with any issue we've had in a timely manner. The whole team at Hamilton Heights are professional and friendly and always follow up on any query we've had, big or small.

Fantastic Team! Hamilton Heights

I’ve waited a few months now since moving into our new home at Hamilton Heights just so that I could give an honest review. We got our keys in June and since then have run into the usual wee niggles that are to be expected when moving into a new build. I can honestly say that from Day 1, the service we have received from the team has been nothing short of exceptional. Russell and Bret are a credit to the company. Regardless of the problem, everything we have reported has been dealt with in timeous, professional manner from start to finish even with follow ups. I like to give praise when it’s deserved, Bret, especially, has been a star! The assistance with the smallest issues has been outstanding, nothing has been too much of an ask! An absolute credit to Robertson Homes! We are now settled in to our new home and it honestly wouldn’t be the same without the help we’ve received from Russell, Brett and the rest of the team!

Robertson Homes - Calderwood development -AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have been waiting for over 1 year to write this review. Let me be clear as I can, when I say, “ROBERTSON’S DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY” This is the theme you get after you purchase your home. Let me take you back to the start, We moved to the Calderwood development of March 2022. The buying process was brilliant and made extremely easy with Kim. She was excellent with communication, helping with choices and overall made the sales process very pleasant. This is the only positive from Robertson homes. What comes next, is lies, deceit, poor communication, lack of ownership, stress, poor workmanship, poor quality and just a total disregard to assist with any customer care issues. We ended up finding over 150+ snags on our property and after a year we are still addressing and chasing to get these repaired. We have made hundreds of calls, emails, and texts to various people in Robertson’s trying to get these organised, however, you are faced with a snail pace effort in responses and organisation. We have only recently managed to sort our carpet situation on the top floor of our property, and we can now start putting furniture in the rooms. It’s hard to believe that we haven’t been able to fully use our top floor due to this carpet issue and It’s embarrassing how long it has taken for them to sort this! But this shows you Robertson’s lack of care towards customers.Robertson Homes don’t have any proper processes or strategies to address customers snags. Instead, you end up doing all the work informing them of the details and then you spend weeks arguing why it is a snag before they eventually drip feed you a repair date which is always weeks later. Question for Robertson homes, how many homes in the Calderwood development are 100% complete?…… I bet the answer is 0% after speaking with everybody else in the development. We are a close neighbourhood, and we have been brought closer due to the horror stories we share of our experiences with Robertson homes on the daily. Having experienced this for only a year, it is the most frustrating thing and has completely taking the excitement of purchasing and living in a new home! This company is a farce. Usually, companies try to improve their trust pilot score, but they don’t seem to be bothered. It’s quite funny when you drive into the development and the first thing you can see is a Taylor Wimpey banner with their 4/5 stars trust pilot score! Wonder if Robertson’s will show their 2.9 Stars!! The company fail to retain staff, this is evident as over the 1 year as we have had 2 assistant site managers (Andy and Calum), our customer care site assistant (Diane), head of customer care Lisa, and now another customer care assistant Lucy Hyrons all leave the company. It’s becoming a joke and slightly worrying. We have end up being passed around without any details of who is looking after the development which means further delays to our repairs being organised. I believe they have left due to the workload, the stress of the job and the sheer volume of emails and complaints they receive daily.I could speak about this company for ages and all the negatives but id like to leave this with a simple summary,Please do not buy with Robertson Homes, they will leave you frustrated, angry and tired. They only have one objective, taking your money. You will be left with an incomplete home and a load of snags to deal with. You will fight tirelessly to try and get repairs organised and if you are lucky, you might get some done.

Do the right thing.

After two years, I am still awaiting for snagging jobs to be carried out. Remedial, straight forward work has also not been carried out, despite repeated contact with their 'aftercare manager'. I have received replies to all my e-mails, however without exception they have had the sole aim of protracting actually doing anything, generally becoming more puerile and pathetic with each reply. These sentiments seem to be shared by everyone else on the development ( Great Glen Place, Inverness]. At the same time, there are two more developments under construction nearby. Potential buyers; beware!

Fair Acres Dunbar - A good move for us!

We are delighted with our new home in Fair Acres. Having always lived in much older houses this is our first brand new house. We have found few snagging issues and these are minor: they will be attended to once lockdown is over. I cannot speak highly enough of the Robertson team here, both in sales and in site management. And our neighbours are great!A good move for us!!

Do not buy new builds in Wynyard

Site in Wynyard remains unfinished - landscapes with pooling festering water, flag poles removed months ago still have sharp metal bases sticking out of the ground waiting to cause serious injury, all the green spaces are unkept, riddled with weeds. Robertson team just ignore any customer concerns and carry on just selling and running from existing customer problems. Not a luxury builder, a team that rely on the customer to fix their own significant issues.

Please don't fall for 'Sales process was excellent' publicity - as the saying goes 'IT is too good to be TRUE'.The HORROR Show begins the moment your money is in their bank account! We can barely sleep now because of stress and anxiety.I can understand if I am writing this later in my warranty period but within TWO months? is disgraceful and I hate myself for buying from them.if you STILL decide to buy with them make sure you have an INSURANCE that covers your MENTAL HEALTH !!#UPDATE# They ignored these Trustpilot reviews and now turned off comments on their Facebook posts, what a joke of a company.

False and misleading company - appalling after care

While Robertsons sales team are proactive, and the process to moving in is well managed, once you are actually in your home customer care are appalling. We have been in our home for over 15 months, and there are still snags which have been outstanding from the day we moved in.It’s noticeable that Robertson Homes have turned off commenting on their Facebook and Instagram. Perhaps instead of putting themselves forward for awards, they could spend their time actually replying to their customers and making some sort of effort to resolve snagging. The last email I received a response fromRobertsons was over four months ago in January. They simply ignore customers emails, even when they have previously accepted that they are required to resolve the issues.I’d seriously warn anyone considering purchasing a Robertsons Home to factor in the amount of time and stress that will be involved in dealing with their unsafe and poor workmanship, constantly having to keep on top of them for updates and ultimately requiring to raise a civil action or NHBC claim. They are definitely not the caring, customer focused company that their sales team and social media posts make them out to be.

Shoddy workmanship

A massive roof tile just fell and there is no sign of a screw in place to secure the ridge end cap to the wooden joist!!! Shocking.Very glad nobody was hurt as the concrete tile is massive and quite heavy.Looks like their marketing team have newly discovered that they can turn off comments on their Facebook posts!! - Any potential NEW BUYERS just think why would they do that?
