Positive and happy experience using Wards.

This is our first experience of selling a property using an Estate Agent. For us, it has been an unexpected, nice surprise. From the beginning, Wards offered a different approach, whereby their main priority was finding us our next dream home. Abbie Robertson has been excellent throughout the process, finding out exactly what we were looking for and then going about finding us it. Her and the team, then went about ensuring our house found it's soon to be, new owner efficiently and quickly, in order to make the process a success. Throughout this period of time, we have been really impressed with all of the team, especially Abbie, as they have worked really hard to make things run as smoothly as possible. We are hopeful of a positive outcome for all. Many thanks.

Highly recommend for buying and selling

We used Wards and their team for the purchase and sale of our new property and are very happy with the results. Holly Smith was excellent in keeping us up to date with new properties on the market and connecting interested buyers with our property. Special thanks also goes to Vicky for assisance with getting our property to Market and Mark Boyle for managing the process from start to finish and keeping everything moving during lockdown.Our progressor Tina Styance kept us up to date with the progress of all elements on our sale and purchase and deserves extra special thanks for answering many many phone calls in the last few weeks to finally exchange contracts.I would highly recommend Wards to anyone looking to buy or sell property and they would be my first phone call in the future if we ever wish to buy or sell property again.

Selling a property both sides of lockdown was very frustrating and a long process. Wards and especially Kim Batchelor provided a superb service, always replying in good time, always keeping me informed. Friendly and positive throughout and when needed made things happen. The whole process in retrospect was smooth albeit it drawn out due to lockdown but the professional help and calming words made it all much easier! Dubious, untrustworthy and zero integrity. Please avoid!

Avoid this dubious, untrustworthy and awful company at all costs. Wards took an alternative offer to a seller after I had instructed solicitors following acceptance of my offer. I should have known they use dubious tactics after I offered the full guide price and Wards quickly suggested the seller needed more money, despite the fact we were the only offer being considered. Following acceptance of the offer, I was asked by Wards to instruct the solicitors they recommended (they receive a referral fee) at the earliest opportunity. Two days later, Wards called and informed me they had taken another offer to the seller, bypassing our sale agreement and demonstrating a complete lack of integrity. The alternative offer was accepted, the sale fell through and I am currently out of pocket as a result of a desperate clamber to boost a senior managers commission. If you want to sell your home, please use an alternative firm to ensure that your home is being sold by people with a moral compass. If you want to buy a home, please avoid going through Wards, as they simply can’t be trusted.

And then Covid-19 hit ......

Last September we took the decision to market our home in Walderslade Woods and chose your Walderslade branch to be our Estate Agent. We embarked on our journey following a visit from Kenny and our home was marketed from the start with a passion and professionalism that I did not see with the other local agents. After Christmas a buyer was found and we moved to the the next phase of our home move. It was at this point we were introduced to Kim Bachelor who became our sales progressor and worked along side Kenny to keep everything on track. Things were progressing nicely and then Covid-19 hit and derailed all the progress we had made. We moved into our new home towards the end of May and I can honestly say that without Kim and Kenny we would not be here. They have both been truly amazing. They have “virtually” held our hands throughout the process, have gone above and beyond their job descriptions, always responded promptly to our emails and calls (very often responding out of hours and on days off). Kim has chased the chain tirelessly and her can do attitude, good humour and professionalism have stood out. Your Walderslade Office is a credit to your company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family in the area. I would be so grateful if you could pass on our deepest and sincerest thanks to your team, paying particular attention to Kenny and Kim because without them we would not now be enjoying our new home.

We went through Wards for a rental property and our experience was flawless. Tony in Lettings guided us through the whole process. Even though we was due to move into the property during the coronavirus lockdown first come into force, he really went the extra mile to ensure we could move in earlier than anticipated, but most of all in a safely manner. (These guys are fantastic, the beginning of this review is about my current estate agent for people who don’t read till the end) I’m currently purchasing a property as a first time buyer. So far, from my experience I can say this is one of the most easiest procedures however, made extremely difficult because of certain people. To complete smoothly, your estate agent & solicitor must be great at what they do. The estate agent I am dealing with is a complete nightmare. I email, message and phone the person dealing with my case and get no reply. I never get any updates unless I chase myself. Since the procedure has started, I phone up every single day and I keep getting told lies. I’ve been told the top of the chain is holding me up because their estate agents are closed and they are not replying to emails. I phoned of their 2 branches and got through to both of them easily. I spoke to Retika (forgive me if I spelt it incorrectly) at the Barnehurst branch at first. She gave me every single information about my file. I at this point am not even her client and she dealt with me like I was her client. Thank you so much if you are reading this. You are brilliant at your job and have amazing people skills. After this conversation I got through to my estate agent and told them about the update and their reply was ‘ok, they are supposed to contact us and not you’. Clearly someone is not doing their job so others have to do it. Anyway, this morning I phoned up the Walderslade branch and got through to Kenny. Retika already had passed my details on and let him know I phoned up. Kenny was extremely professional and dealt with me like I was his client. He too has brilliant people skills and is extremely understanding. He answered all my questions and made me feel excited about completing and receiving my keys. Having spoken to two branches and two different managers, I can say there is a great system and professionalism within this company. The experience have been a very good one from start to finish; Although, the process wasn't easy, but the staffs involved with our mortgage were excellent. The support given to us was unbelievable and this aid to the successful sales of our property. Georgina Gray and her team, whom is our mortgage broker was very good and highly experience. She worked tiredly to secure our mortgage. She was great throughout the process of our application and simple the best. Please stay away from this agency

Please stay away from this agency. I signed a joint contract with an ex partner and when things ended, I contacted Wards to remove my name. They said this was impossible as it was a joint contract and I needed to wait till the end of the tenancy agreement which I did. However, once it got to the end of the tenancy, Wards told me on several occasions they were in the process of removing my name. It has now been a year and my name is still on the tenancy agreement. Due to this, I am receiving emails and calls from contractors including Wards regarding information on the flat.On top of all of this, I have been chasing up a deposit which has just been a nightmare. Please stay away from this agency!!!
