Deciding to move came upon me by chance, when I fell in love with a property being marketed by Simon Brien. Previously I wouldn't have considered using them to market my property. This was for no particular reason I just had no previous experience with them. The logistics meant I had dealings with several of the branches. I first met Phoebe, from the Ards branch when I went to view the property I ended up purchasing. Pheobe was literally a breath of fresh air! She was informative, knowledgeable, and kept in touch throughout the process. I then spoke with Laurie from the Belfast branch who had a keen interest in the marketing of my new home. Again, this was a positive experience, and everything was made so easy. Jennie from the Holywood branch took care of the marketing and sale of my property. Everything was taken care off with professionalism and attention to detail. I truly felt that Jennie took the pressure off me throughout the whole sales process. She is certainly very experienced and wants the best for her clients. The viewings on my property were all done by the staff from the Holywood branch. Rachel and Orla took care of these and I couldn't have had a more positive experience. I had a total of 5 viewings at my property. Each one was promptly followed up and feedback obtained. Barbara dealt with the offers and sale agreement on my property. She dealt with this right through to completition I knew I was in safe hands with her. All in all, what struck me was how this company work together, throughout their branches in order to bring everything together. Every member of staff was fully aware of the progress of my sale and purchase. They worked together and kept in contact with me throughout the whole process. Ultimately they made this happen for me! I honestly cannot thank them all enough. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Simon Brien for sales/purchases. At no time did I have to chase for updates as they were totally on the ball. These guys totally worked together, as a team. I am so appreciative of everything they did for me to makesm this process so stress free! If only my solicitor had made things this easy!!

I called the East Belfast office repeatedly on 30/01/2026 and 31/01/2026 to try to arrange a viewing for a property they listed for sale this week, and not once was my call answered or returned. This level of communication is extremely poor and not what I would expect from a professional estate agency. If I were a vendor using Simon Brien, I would be very concerned that potential buyers are simply unable to get through to express interest. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Simon Brien to anyone considering selling their property. John

I got a recommendation from someone who had used Simon Brien to sell their house and the two names mentioned were Barbara Nelson and Samuel Dickey. I was blown away by how professional yet personable these two were. My personal situation was sensitive and I could not have been in better hands! My experience was amazing, and I would recommend anyone who is selling a property to look no further than Simon Brien Estate Agents and in particular Barbara and Samuel, but in general every employee that I had dealings with. I was given absolute respect and my sensitive circumstances were always upheld and at the forefront of all negotiations dealt with by what can only be described as a 'dream team'. It was a pleasure to be walked through the selling process by such extraordinary people, who are exceptional at what they do and are a credit to the company who they represent. Sam and the team at Simon Brien East were fantastic when dealing with the sale of our home. Very professional, sound advice, incredibly efficient in all aspects of the sale and marketing of the property. Not only that - they sold the house really quickly after marketing online for only a short period. The house was photographed really nicely with great descriptions and Sam ensured it was given the best window to the public by having it online instantly and also used social media platforms to broaden the visability. Richard made selling our home a very easy and stress free occasion from the very first conversation right through the process to completion day! Whilst Anna and Andrea have helped every step on the way in finding us our new home - between going Sale Agreed and corresponding with our builders. Having decided to sell our house we had several agents out to value it and we decided to go with Simon Brien. We dealt with the Holywood office, specifically Tiffany Brien. From the minute she arrived in our home her enthusiasm and attention to detail was clear to see. She was spot on with her valuation and she listened to us and understood what we were hoping to get out of our sale. I cannot fault her. The communication throughout has been 10/10. When we initially approached SB, Sam told us to do nothing to the house. The house was empty. Fast forward a few months with no interest, we were then told to paint, get new carpets etc. We then spent 6-8 weeks renovating and SB readvertised the house with our photos (that we paid for). The girls in the office responded to our emails that were forwarded to them by Sam. Finally we had an offer that we accepted within 24 hours but SB 'forgot' to send the sales advice to our solicitor. This put the sale back about a month. The day of completion was one week after Storm Eowyn. SB phoned on the completion day to point out the damage that was done 5 days beforehand. We ended up having to reduce the sale price to ensure completion on the date was possible. After the invoice was received by the solicitor, there was an extra charge for being a featured property, not our request. Selling an empty property through SB took 11 months and cost us c£23,000 in mortgage payments, rates, refurbishment, SB fees etc. If I were doing it again, I wouldn't use Sam Dickey or Simon Brien again.
