GoogleAvoid avoid avoid! Currently going through a complaint procedure after being told by housing rights I should escalate to the property ombudsman for malpractise. Paid £80 for reference checks which FYI you shouldn't have to pay the letting agent as there's instances they are charging the landlord and applicant. Was told my application was declined after a piece of adverse credit appeared in my file I was unaware of. I presented then with proof of this being disputed and asked for this to be communicated to the landlord to support my application, it was not. Our applications were not closed by homelet and we were receiving emails to provide more proofs but GOC had closed the book on it early. Being a popular property they had no interest whatsoever in waiting for us to provide information and more proofs and for every solution we provided, another obstacle was put up. No communication, not replying to emails, no returning phone calls promptly and a very aggressive sales approach to secure the property with reference fees. Absolutely appalling 'service'. They'll have a friendly letter from the property ombudsman shortly.
We would confirm that the content of your review is not accurate, it was the landlord's decision not to proceed. At all times GOC kept you informed and believe the matter is now at an end. At GOC we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and should you wish to contact us again in this regard we welcome hearing from you.

GoogleGOC provided an excellent service from initial consultation through to completion. At each stage, l was kept fully updated and felt that my interests were forefront in our dealings. The interaction between Jonny, the solicitor and myself was seamless and relaxed despite the stress of any house sale. I would particularly like to commend Jonny for the quality of his customer service which l found to be outstanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending GOC to my friends and family.

GoogleJust started renting with goc and can recommend. They're a proper outfit and offered bespoke services from initial viewing up until move in. Had a few minor issues with my flat that were quickly resolved thanks to solid communication and speedy services. Appreciate the friendly nature of their people and it was refreshing to see a letting agent be on the ball & act in good faith. Thanks again!

Not only were they very competitive on price but they exceeded all my expectations in generating and handling all viewings until the property sold. GoogleI have recently rented a property from GOC Estate Agents. I am new to the ‘rental’ world and I find the team most helpful, friendly, professional and efficient. They act quickly if there is any issue needs addressed. I am sorry to say I never used them for my recent house sale, but had I been more aware of their excellent professional service I would have undoubtedly have used them. GoogleI've had a few viewings with Jack from GOC Estate Agents, he is always very friendly and knowledgeable about the properties and asks what you want out of a property to understand your buying journey better. On one occasion, he was able to recommend another property around the corner that had recently come on the market and showed me around right after my original viewing. Jack also shared insights from his own property buying experiences which, as a first time buyer, helped to ease the stress of a daunting process.

GoogleI have been a GOC tenant for over two years; I am now renting in my second property that they have managed. Their staff are polite and attentive and the application and renewal process has been straightforward. Any faults I have reported have always been resolved efficiently, without issue.

GoogleMe and my partner moved to Belfast in September. We had never been to Belfast before and didn't know the good areas to live in. The University sabbatical officers recommended GOC, so we went down. The layout in the office made it easy to identify the houses to rent. The agent allowed us to go and look at the house ourselves. We really liked it so put an application in. The admin fees were not extortionate compared to other agents. However when it came to signing the contract it was a shambles, we didn't know for 100% sure if we were able to sign the contract and would have somewhere to live until we actually moved over from England on the ferry with a car packed full of stuff in the hope we would be able to sign the contract. This was due to a complete lack of communication, all we needed was an email or phone call that would take 2 minutes. We were able to sign the contract and luckily have moved into the house with no problems since. The agent was also helpful once we arrived giving us a list of all the oil companies and their current prices which he didn't have to do. I would recommend to friends but GOC need to put more effort into communicating with their customers.
