We recently viewed and applied for a property, and the whole experience was incredibly smooth from start to finish. We were accepted within an hour of viewing, which was amazing and such a relief. Paige, the lettings negotiator who showed us the property, was fantastic throughout. She was professional, friendly, and worked very quickly to get everything sorted so we could move as soon as possible. We viewed the property on Wednesday and picked up the keys Saturday, which really exceeded our expectations. The entire process was efficient, well-managed, and completely stress-free. I would strongly recommend avoiding this letting agency. Before the tenancy began, they were very helpful with arranging viewings and answering questions. When the tenancy started, there were a few issues: one of the backdoor keys were missing; some of the previous tenants’ items were still in the house, including a soiled mattress which made one bedroom unusable; the washing machine was full of mouldy and unusable. A condition of renting the property was that the garden was to be cleaned and tidied. While the garden waste was cleared, the glass and rubbish was left in the garden. The letting agency was informed of these issues. It took several months and a formal complaint for the washing machine to be replaced. Needing to use the second bedroom, the mattress had to be moved outside. Despite being told that it would be removed along with the previous tenants’ items, it stayed there for the entire tenancy. The other rubbish in the garden was never removed. It took over 6 months for the backdoor keys to be made. The letting agency was informed about damp and mould which had begun to form in an upstairs room and in the kitchen - both caused by leaks. Several contractors were sent (sometimes the same one twice) to give quotes. A contractor was finally sent to fix the leaks over 6 months later but the remaining damp/mould was not treated. When I left the property it was still there. During the tenancy, I spoke to many people from the letting agency and property management company over email and phone. I had to follow up on every issue, otherwise no one would get back for over a month. Any time I would bring it up, I was told they were still waiting for the landlord - no progress had been made at all. If the landlord was the one at fault, it seems like they should stop working with clients like this. Although many of the letting agents/property managers apologised for the situation, there was never any improvement.

Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.
