GoogleI am absolutely disgusted, I phoned to arrange a viewing on a house, they asked if I had a mortgage sorted and what deposit I would be putting down on the house. I told her who my mortgage was with and how much deposit I was putting down. I was then told that the vender had stipulated that I would have to speak to Howard’s mortgage advisor before I could view the property. I felt I was being blackmailed into using their services, despite already having a large deposit and mortgage sorted. A potential sale lost there because of their greed.

As a company we always ask questions that we deem as relevant, in order to introduce the very best buyers to our clients. We have a duty of care and show due diligence at every stage to all of our vendors, with some vendors stipulating that we only showcase their property to potential viewers that have been verified financially in house, this by no means, sanctions viewers to use any of our in house services or products. We would never ever turn any prospective buyer away from viewing any of our properties, we would simply refer back to our vendor and ask if they are still happy to show you around without any financial verification which was explained to you. We are saddened to hear that you felt blackmailed and this is certainly not how we wish to portray or operate our business in any way, shape of form. As we say, we have taken your comments on board and we hope to deal with you again in the near future in the hope to rectify any negative previous experience. GoogleSeeking to retire to Beccles, we contacted several estate agents to view suitable properties over the past 9 months. Our task was made more difficult as we lived over a two hour drive away. Nadia at Howards stood out among the agents we dealt with. At every viewing, she was always punctual, polite, professional and very friendly and helpful, giving us much needed advice as we knew little about the area. Nothing was too much trouble for her and we would have no hesitation in recommending both her and her company to other buyers and sellers in the area.

GoogleContacted the office to obtain more details about a property. Spoke to someone, who came across very disinterested and other than giving me the house number did not give any further information, even when prompted. They could not even be bothered to take my details, incase they might have something else of interest.. After being unable to find the property on google street view, I phoned back and spoke to the "concierge" service as Beccles had not picked up the phone. They were next to useless, not even being able to find the property on their system. I then looked at the Howards website, which contained even less information the Rightmove. It's service like this that makes one wonder why estate agents exist - in 2022 information is readily available on the internet - one should question as to what companies like this actually add to the process, apart from a hefty commission?

GoogleI was pleased with the way Cara, the branch manager, marketed my property for sale, making any amendments as necessary, and the professional manner in which Nadia and Amber conducted themselves during the viewings. The only reason that I cannot give five stars is due to the hand over from the team I knew (Cara, Nadia and Amber) once a buyer had been found, to the Move Manager. When you are going through such an important process, continuity in dealing with the people with whom you have a rapport is very important. I never met the Move Manager and the individual never came to see my property, so I felt no connection and frankly, this person did not inspire confidence. If I had met the Move Manager at the outset, I would not have instructed Howards.

GoogleI would definitely recommend Howards. I have recently exchanged on my property and the team at Beccles provided an excellent service. Cara’s enthusiasm and friendly manner meant that I could confidently leave her to conduct a viewing day, which resulted in several offers and a sale in around two weeks. The marketing strategies used are professional and the property was valued accurately. I have no doubt that Cara’s friendly approach helped greatly and that her obvious enthusiasm for the property was communicated to those viewing. Any follow up viewings were carried out by Amber, who was very supportive. We had a long time between the offer being accepted and exchange.During this period, Amy , the sales progressor, kept me updated and helped to chase up the chain throughout . Overall a very professional and friendly service.
