St Mary’s Park - Morris Homes

We purchased our morris home at St Mary’s Park in Penwortham moving in at the start of Feb 2024. The whole purchase went very smoothly with us part-exchanging our old property with Morris. Carol and Vic in the sales dept were excellent throughout the purchase process with nothing being too much trouble or time consuming for them. They helped guide us through the purchase process and kept us well informed of developments throughout. Once purchased, we met the site manager Shaun, who has been great with us since we got the keys and moved in. Obviously there were some minor snagging issues as with all new builds and are expected by all parties, but these have been sorted almost immediately by Shaun and his friendly team. The whole experience has been very smooth and we would recommend Morris and St Mary’s Park highly. In fact we have done to some friends who are house hunting. Despite living on an active build site, we have commented that it doesn’t actually feel so. Noise is relatively low, site workers are courteous, friendly and approachable and bar the dust, which is what it is on a build site, it has been no issue at all. Thanks to Carol, Vic and Shaun for helping set us up in our new home :)

My wife and I visited the Heaton Green development in Kirkham on 11 May where we were met by Hannah the Sales Advisor. From the outset we were impressed by her engaging and personable approach. Indeed, she patiently took us through our options, spent time showing us around the site and getting to know us. Great sales without being pushy

Buying a house as we all know is challenging and has to be right. Hannah at Princes Meadows fully understands this. We have visited the site on many occasions and every time Hannah is positive and supportive, in spite of the endless questions and concerns we’ve had. Princes Meadow Kirkham

We turned up at this site with no appointment. Hannah was very welcoming friendly and fun to talk too. She asked us a few questions and listened to what we wanted. She showed us a beautiful show home without an appointment and it was very close to her finishing time but this didn’t bother her. She didn’t rush us 1 bit. She suggested a house for us and even arranged a viewing at another site. She is very professional not pushy and extremely helpful. I can’t thank Angela at the Wintringham site enough! She was extremely approachable, helpful and didn’t put any pressure on us to buy! We looked in many areas and different developers. Morris Homes in Wintringham was the first development we looked at. We have been living in a Morris Homes property for nearly 3 years now and whilst we had a positive experience purchasing our property, the ongoing customer care has been nothing short of a disaster. We have had multiple kitchen doors drop from the hinges with 2 having actually fallen from the hinges. We have requested this be fixed over the course of 2 years, the company on multiple occasions stated that they had been to our property to fix them despite not doing so. We eventually had one of the doors refixed to the wall whilst the other was left loose. This door has eventually come away, when brought up again to Morris we have been accused of having “forcibly ripped off” the door, this accusation backed up by their head of Customer Care Chris Moylan. The freezer door is now also coming away from the hinges which is clearly evidence of poor work being completed on the property. We have attempted to escalate this issue but continue to be met with barriers, ignored emails and as expected dismissive uncooperative responses. Avoid at all costs.

Currently building in Formby

Currently building in Formby, Merseyside. No consideratoon for other road users. Blocked the road fully for unloading of materials. No way for traffic to pass and contractors looked at my vehicle, made no attempt to move or indicate how long they would be. I and other road users were forced to turn around in the road and find an alternative route delaying my journey which was related to attending a funeral. There was no warning of a road closure. Raised this with them and asked for evidence they were permitted to do this and have been ignored. Disingenuous signage claiming to be a responsible builder.
