Dealing with Symonds and Sampson (particularly Matt) was a pleasure. Everyone in the office were so helpful in guiding us through the process and being very patient when it came to viewing properties. Never did we feel 'under pressure". In our case, we were particularly drawn to the video of our property which was not the usual slide show of the images we had already seen, but a proper walk around video which gave more detail and showed us more than the images. Thank you to all at Symonds and Sampson in Beaminster and particularly Matthew.

Managed to buy a house over the phone while on holiday in France. We'd previously seen a house listed on the Symonds and Sampson website that matched our criteria but it was sold STC. Then i got a Rightmove notification that it was back on the market. Matt from the Beaminster office wouldn't let me proceed to buy it without a viewing so arranged a tour of the house via Face Time. Anyway, bizarre as it sounds and all credit to Matt its now my house. Matt was great. Good communication all the way, very proactive and managed to keep things moving along. Way better than the agent i'm using to sell my house. A nice bottle of red on completion too.

I have just bought a property with my partner through Symonds & Sampson in Beaminster. As this was my first house I didn't really know what I was doing, but Matt was very helpful along the way, and kept us fully up-to-date, particularly at times when we hadn't heard from the solicitor. Each time I came to the office there were multiple members of staff present, which hadn't been the case with another estate agent I had dealt with recently, so it was comforting to know there was always someone to speak to if needed. Overall, as a buyer, the service we received was brilliant. The bottle of wine on completion was also a lovely touch.

When considering the sale of our cottage we looked online for information and found GetAgent a useful resource for planning a sale and comparing Estate Agents. As a result we invited three firms to visit us and when we met Caroline, the Beaminster branch manager, from Symonds and Sampson, it really was no contest. Her focus was entirely on what we wanted and she went to some lengths determining that, including advice on buying our next home. Once we were on the market with Symonds and Sampson the contacts with the office, mainly by phone and email were excellent. Although it was a short “chain” the sale wasn’t straightforward and the attention paid to us and the efforts to deal with any issues arising were very good, especially from Caroline. In fact we commented that even had our property been worth considerably more we could not have asked for any better service. We have no hesitation in recommending the team at Symonds and Sampson, Beaminster.

Overall, the experience with the Estate agent during a recent property transaction did not meet expectations due to issues with communication and case management. The overall attentiveness level was inconsistent. Other local estate agents provided more proactive updates and information throughout the process. A problem arose after completion day concerning the lack of keys. When assistance was requested, the matter was considered outside the agent's responsibility. This lack of support was disappointing. Other agents within the chain provided more comprehensive and timely information. A formal explanation of the agency's policy regarding the key handover process on completion day and an acknowledgment of the communication shortfall would be appreciated. This feedback is intended to help improve the experience for future clients.

The team at Symonds and Sampson, Beaminster, recently undertook a long and complicated sale of my mother's flat that also involved a Housing Management Association. The whole process took over eight months and ended with a successful completion. It took determination and endurance as we encountered one delay after another! This was met with support, good humour and resilience by all the team. Hardly a day went by when I wasn't given an update by one of them. Caroline and her team provided a very professional and efficient service to market my mother's house after she had moved in to care. As the property was empty, they went the extra mile managing viewings and addressing any issues that arose whilst the property was being marketed. Found us a buyer very quickly and, from instruction to completion, just over 4 months! I could not fault the communications from Julie, providing regular updates on progress and liaising with our buyers around any questions they raised.
