Douglas Allen East Ham - Great service & a great team!

I found Hasan, Faisal, Wassim and the rest of the team at Douglas Allen to be very helpful. As a first time buyer, I've had many questions and Hasan is always happy to help and very knowledgeable about the local area. Faisal was also extremely helpful in explaining the mortgage process and the options available to me. So far the process has gone smoothly and hopefully will continue to do so! I have dealt with many estate agents over the last two years during my property search and the team here at Douglas Allen in East Ham have been one of the most helpful ones. They are also a very happy, friendly team and very welcoming.

Carl Clennell and Paul Cromwell are so professional in their manner. They kept me updated at all times and they showed themselves to be incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. Carl made the whole process of house hunting so easy and gave me information about mortgages, properties and conveyancing. He also kept me updated all the times in terms of appointments and always phoned me back to let me know what was going on. Barkingside Branch - Lynberge Rene

After an absolute nightmare dealing with a with a previous estate agent who were supposedly acting on our behalf in selling our property. We decided to change agent and engage Douglas Allen. Enter Lynburge and Ummad at the Barkingside office and what a complete contrast this was. In today's world of cut throat high street estate agents it is nice to see that there are a few rare and genuine people who value the simple concept of trust. Lynburge in particular was extremely helpful and went over and above to rectify our frustrations and sufferings with the previous estate agents. He was professional and knowledgeable in his dealings with us and put our needs and interest first and foremost above anything else. In Lynburge's absence we dealt with Ummad who was courteous and displayed the same professionalism. If the service that we received from Lynburge and Ummad in overseeing the sale of our property in a short space of time is typical of Douglas Allen employees I would have no hesitation to recommend Douglas Allen above all other High Street competitors to friends and family. Do not be seduced by sweet talk from other agents. Douglas Allen were honest and realistic in pricing the property and delivered exactly what they promised and on time.We are extremely grateful to them for their service to us.

Excellent property sale via Chingford office

In summary, you get what you pay for. I bought my property through Douglas Allen 5.5 years ago and had a good experience as a buyer. When it came to selling, they were one of the 3 agents I called to value my property. While they were the most expensive in terms of selling fees, I felt they were the most professional and gave me the most confidence that they would achieve a good sale price. When it came to selling, they in fact achieved a price which greatly exceeded my expectations. Initially I dealt with Jess but her colleagues were also extremely competent and viewed the property themselves to help them in their sales efforts - a nice touch. After the sale had been agreed, the sales progressor Natasha was excellent in keeping tabs on all parties to ensure the sale proceeded without delay. In the last few weeks I did experience a few problems with some of the external parties involved slowing things up, but Natasha never relented in ensuring there was as little 'dead time' where nothing was happening as possible. This was all carried out with a pleasing professionalism, humility and humour throughout. In short, I cannot recommend Douglas Allen enough - and I speak from both the buying and selling perspective having experienced both. When all is said and done, I have reached the end of this process feeling extremely satisfied with the service I received and will be happy to pay them their fee, since they very much earned it. Selling and buying property almost always results in stressful moments, but everyone who I came into contact with at Douglas Allen was a pleasure to deal with which made it all that little bit easier to cope with.

Excellent service received from Chadwell Heath

I received a cold call from Danny at Douglas Allen, Chadwell Heath, who very professionally persuaded me to give Douglas Allen an opportunity to value my house and i thought, why not. Branch Manager, Les Carter, came to see me and did an excellent sales pitch and I signed up on the spot. Casting aside any thought of getting a second quote to compare the services as he expertly explained the process. Les delivered on all counts and within 4 weeks we had two viewing days with 48 families viewing the property, resulting in 6 offers, 4 of which were above the asking price. We are in the process of accepting an offer £30k above our asking price, so it is smiley faces all round. The only suggestion that i could think of to improve on the service, would be to have more staff on viewing days. We had 56 appointments on the first day and 37 families turned up to view the property in a one hour slot. An extra agent may have made the process run more smoothly as we were a bit overwhelmed. With lots to choose from, we are now we are in the process and eagerly await completion of our sale. Even better than before

I have used Douglas Allen before. The quality of service then prompted me to use them again. I used the team at Basildon. From the first meeting I was treated as though I was the only customer that mattered. The boss, Simon, talked me through what they were offering and all that I should expect. At first I thought the cost was a little high, but in hind-sight I got my money's worth. All the team were involved. I was happy with the evaluation and they then produced a plan of action describing in detail what I should expect, from how many viewers I should get to the number of offers. I would told it would sell on the first viewing and it did. I got 10 offers. The time scale was spot on as well. I also signed up to their conveyancing team. So things progressed rapidly. I went on sale on 4th Jan. 11 Jan the viewing, 13 Jan 10 offers, 19th Jan offer accepted. Exchange of contracts was only 10 weeks later. It was all exactly as they described. All the team were friendly and had time to listen to what I wanted. A special thank you to Chelsea who was my link with the conveyancing team. She listened patiently to my concerns and stresses and reassured me. Thanks again, keep up the good work

Beyond expectation

With not so good experiences in the past when it came to purchasing a property, I was apprehensive to try the property ladder again. I have just sold my house with douglas allen. I dealt with michelle hawthorn - loughton branch from the beginning. Michelle was extremely informative and professional throughout the process. I had a very slight delay in proceedings due to my buyers, but michelle was straight on the case, taking immediate steps to rectify the situation and kept in contact to reassure me about what she was doing. Fantastic support from Barkingside

I have bought more than one house in the past which means I have encountered many estate agents. However my encounter last Saturday with Umad and Kalish was different to previous experiences. My husband had important business to attend to which meant me and my 6 year old son had to catch cabs to our 4 viewings around the area of Barkingside. We travelled in from Islington the weather was poorly we realised that Kalish was going to the same viewings as us and after explaining our situation he kindly offered to drive us around to the viewings with him. This was a life saver and not only that but we met Umad at some of the viewings where there were queues he was thoughtful enough to bring an umbrella and offered it to us and saved my son from the rain. These small details made me change my perspective on the whole industry and reassured me in the fact that there are genuine people in this industry. Both of these two are definitely an asset to the company. I would definitely recommend the Douglas Allen experience to anyone who is looking for a house to buy.

Fantastic service and support - Would Recommend

We evaluated our property with 4 different estate agents and found Douglas Allen the best in terms of their packages they had on offer, professionalism and liked their way of selling the property. We dealt with Shawn Vivian from the East Ham branch. We didn’t have to do much once we went with them. Professional Photographer came to our Flat, took the best pictures possible, within a week the property was on the Market, went for the Open Day viewing option and they managed to get 30+ appointments for the first viewing day. Shawn Vivian and his team were very pro-active in contacting the viewers and asking for their interest in the property and came back to me with best offers. I went with their recommended Solicitors who turned out to be great as well. Once I accepted the offer, staff at Douglas Allen especially Andrew Bilby were very good is contacting and chasing solicitors from both sides, pushing Management Company in providing packs etc. Overall I had a pleasant experience with them and if have to will use them again in the future.

Douglas Allen Barkingside, Truly The Best Agent In Town

Many agents boasted that they had the best staff, best photos and the most buyers. Having decided to sell my property multiple agency and experienced many of the high street agents I can say that Douglas Allen are really the only agent to truly have a proper marketing strategy, offer the best photos and actually have far more buyers than other agents. Daniel Bourne and his team are very proactive and really won't rest until the job is done. I will highly recommend using Douglas Allen and think Daniel Bourne is the most honest agent I have come across with the general mission to help. I would also like to thank Kayleesh who made me feel comfortable and was extremely professional when conducting many of the viewings.

Just wanted too leave a review as I had the best experience when selling my home with douglas allen Barkingside. My agent Lynburge helped me sell my home for the best price possible and was always available when I needed advise or help. Seling my home was a daunting experience for me but Lynburge did an excellent job making this step comfortable and less emotional. From start to end he made selling my home a very easy and relaxed experience. Will Nash has helped me not once but twice to secure a good deal on my mortgage. Will Nash is an extremely trustworthy and knowledgable mortgage adviser. We were asked to seek his confirmation of affordability when our offer was accepted, and it was to our good fortune that he did. He uncovered some serious flaws in the original advice we were given and significantly changed our approach to funding the purchase, meaning we own more of the property from the outset. Unfortunately we had some issues during the purchase process (through no fault of DA or Will), and he did everything in his power to escalate and push through. Without his support and commitment I'm convinced it would have been a very different outcome. We owe the purchase to Will and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to fiends and family. We will certainly be back when the mortgage is due. In our opinion there's nothing Will doesn't know - he is simply exemplary at his job. It's a god send that we found him!
