My husband and I viewed with Lucy and Niamh ( Bairstow Eves Estate agent) a few properties today and the service was very professional. Everyone was so nice, full of advice and exceptionally good at what they do. I would recommend them Bairstow Eves again and again. Mariana is a real treasure at heart. She is full of wisdom and has very good customer service.

I had just entered the country and was looking for a place to move in as quickly as possible. When I contacted balgores to schedule a viewing, the agent Michael was quite rude, judgemental and pompous and told me how he wanted to check first if I might be able to afford the property in the first place prior to scheduling a viewing or it would just be a waste of time for all of us. Once we viewed the flat, Michael told me how he should be able to get me in as quickly as possible. Once I paid the deposit, he called me and told me that the move in date would not be till the end of the week. It seemed convenient how he mentioned it only after I paid the deposit. I was under considerable duress but I tried to adjust anyways and trusted him. He ignored my calls multiple times and the times he picked up he was rude and unpleasant to speak to and hardly listened to what i had to say and also made judgementsand also snapped back at me. At last , 2 weeks later a day prior to the move in date, he called me to let me know that the move in would be further delayed as there was an issue with a safety certificate and he couldn't even commit to a date when the issue would be resolved. Eventually I had to ask for them to return all the money I had paid close to 3800 quids. Although I received my money back, the discomfort and mental hassle I had during the period was devastating to say the least. Extremely unprofessional behaviors.

Everyone very efficient before you sign the contract once they’ve got you the efficiency stops. It was expensive but I assumed you get what you pay for. Paying their fees I expected updates on my sales progression and my purchase often but received none. Took 1 week to upload house online, this was once they was chased. The branch manager is awol leaving the most incompetent staff in charge. Shaheer who is a junior did the best job out of them all. The sales progression information was non existent despite having the information of the onward chain they still did not know who to contact. They presented me with false information which gave me an enormous amount of stress. Overall do not recommend.

Tom and Rhiannon were very helpful at getting us on the market and we actually sold our house (STC) rather quickly. Unfortunately our buyers were a little slow at responding but the team were brilliant in chasing them up when needed. A little bit more expensive than say purple bricks but it's worth it to have an actual person to help and do the viewing as we have a busy lifestyle.

A big thank you to Peter Walker at Upminster. Peter was recommended to me from my parents who have used him twice before, the first time being 16 years ago. We don’t Evan know where to start to explain how fantastic our broker Peter walker is. From start to finish Peter took control and handled absolutely everything. He will go above and beyond for his customers we was so lucky to have him. He is the most down to earth man and he will stop at nothing to give you the best of everything. Peter handled our mortgage, home insurances, life insurances and sadly my daily stress. Pete takes it all on his shoulders and will tell you that’s what he is there for to take the worry away from his clients and he does exactly that. Rubbish, didn’t have a clue what was going on during the whole process, even though they controlled the whole chain! Said they would call back with more information and an update, but never did, I had to chase them again and again! Never done any due diligence on potential buyers, so they haven’t checked to see if they had mortgage offers etc. Very frustrating, I would avoid if possible. Also more expensive than others! Only went with them as they had control of the complete chain, but that didn’t help!
