Harrow - before going on holiday, met with new branch manager for putting propery on the market....and said as my daughter lived there, I would co-ordinate all through her - I have had a previous bad experience with agency and even worse with online, so went for a name that was well known and part of larger network. I was offered a competative deal I was happy with, but this time I was more abut the professional service to seel the property - not cheap fees. My mistake. Photographer came (our fault a delay of week due to illness). the property wasnt advertised even without the pics, so assumed waiting for pictures. After two weeks - nothing. After three weeks property still not online or advertised. An open day had been planned following the initial meeting and booked with four people already on their books - it never took place. No communications.So four weeks after initial meeting, nothing. No viewings. No advertising. Finally a conversation with the manager - to be told about thier internal staff issues (no interested! and unprofessional), and the reason its not advertised? they forgot to tell me (as the new manager hadnt been aware apparently) that I had to PAY £149 upfront for the pictures. Not even the online agencies do this. Its always incorporated in final fees.I asked if no sale, would I get the money back? No. He then asked if I had signed the contract. I had not even received it. Then offered subsantial reduction in fees. But by now the total lack of professional service lead me to say - no thank you.

Zero stars from me! If I could give them no star rating I would. I've been looking for properties and got a call today from Abdul - Plaistow branch saying he had a property he thought I'd be interested in. Instead of sending it through and letting me decide if I was interested he was pushy and wanted a viewing date before he sent it. I called back to say it was not of interest. I said it wasn't what I was looking for at all again he was really pushy and quite rude. On this, and past experiences, I would never use them. I've tried to get through to their complaints department and there's a recorded message saying they're not taking calls. Which says it all in my books...

Use a map. Keep britain tidy.

I would just like them (Hucknall branch) to stop littering our neighbourhood with their signs. They put them up and when they let the property they just get chucked at the side of the road. They put a sign up outside my neighbours house 2 weeks ago and it wasnt even to let. They got the wrong flipping street. They said they would move it but didnt and now its just laying there.Then they stick a flyer through my letterbox claiming they are successfully letting property in our area. NO. YOU ARE NOT. YOUR ABILITY TO READ STREET NAMES SUCKS AND YOU ARE LITTERING!

Don't use Lincoln or trust Shane Ballard their area director

Having just had s conversation with the area director for Lincoln called Shane Ballard....i am surprised this estate agent survivesThe Lincoln store don't keep appointments when you complain they appear uninterested and after insisting their regional manager or director call, I get a call from Shane who clearly is frustrated having to talk to a customerHe informs me that I complain via head office and that he would not look into my complaint as his staff are all competent. He is arrogant and clearly needs customer service skills training as does his teamI have requested customer complaints department to call me and go thru my complaint st length. Still no call.

Bairstowe Eves , and how to be robbed .

The vendors accepted the offer of the full asking price , BE were contacted by ourselves consolidating the deal but then others were allowed to view the property ,after acceptance , and encouraged by BE in Mansfield , another later person offered 5k above the selling price , despite the acceptance of ours . Rip off artists , unprofessional ? BE , will not deal with them again .Even the vendors were ill after these proceedings .Sorry for them and us , but BE I wouldn't trust or use again . Stay clear.....greed .

Turned out to be rude after all! Do not fall for the initial fakeness.. Don't be fooled by them!

Turned out to be rude, offensive and even called me a liar! They are as bad as the other uneducated letting agents out there! My parents have used them previously and the Croydon branch seems better than the other shark letting agents out there!I turned up for a second viewing at 1825 as their prospective client and demanded that I do! I even called their main number at 1840 to let the agent know no one had turned up! I then left my property at 1900.I get a call only this morning from the letting agent for him to be rude and claim I had never been there! And that why would an old African woman lie that is of 57 years old! I said she did not turn up! He called me a liar again! I said have you checked your answering machine message to which he says no, but he believes an older woman over me! I have the screenshot of exactly where I was! And it clearly shows I was there for a period of 30 minutes! Do not deal with them ever! Well definitely not with Ffion!Will be writing to the relevant letting bodies as well as watchdog to complain about the aggressive and rude behaviour by them!

Landlords, be careful

Landlords, beware of the accounts department from Romford branch. They just take the rental payments and never pay the full amount to the landlords.Simply they will make up something in their portal but never explain anything.Never experienced this kind of issues with any other management company.Very unprofessional and below standard service.

Unprofessional,Disrespectful ,Arrogant Yesterday we had a view with the Croydon branch and we should meet at the property with the agent.We 've been punctual and we have waited the arrival of the agent for 30 minutes.In the meanwhile we have called several time the agency and tried to contact the agent, but nobody answered.Although the agent didn't call us to know where we were, if we were lost or whatever, just he didn't care about us.This is truly UNPROFESSIONAL!!!Then we went to the agency to talk with a manager and try to sort out the situation,and we discovered that the place was fully packed of agents of whom nobody picked up the phone when we called.We managed to talk with a lady ,but she was really rude and arrogant and she tried to make us guilty.She tried to rescheduled the view of the flat ,but underlining that it 'd be possible only if the negotiator had some spare time for us.Anyway none call us back to see the property.That morning me and my partner woke up early and went appositely to Croydon and travelled an hour just to see the flat . Utterly disgusting behaviour.

Landlords avoid this company at all costs, 0 Professionalism, 0 accountability, no property inspections over a year, rent arrears despite being told the tenant was in a guaranteed rent scheme, I deeply regret having any involvement with them, I can only equate it to being trapped in a series of the Apprentice.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! Several problems since the beginning. They didn't let us into the new property the day agreed knowing perfectly that we were leaving our current flat that day and we had a baby. Then after 5 days we could eventually go in there but the house was disgustingly dirty (we made a phone call the previous day to ensure about the cleanness of it and they confirmed it was when actually in wasn't). All what they were able to say was "the landlord is responsible, nothing we can do". So I don't understand which is the job of an estate agent and how they justify the fee they askThey paid me off £200 out of the £500 fee (what a miserable treatment) Then most of the jobs we agreed weren't been done at our entrance and any time we are reporting an issue to be resolved, it is a nightmare to get that done, months and months of nothing (no radiator in the bedroom for 5 months, of course winter time). No humanity or professionalism at all

Good luck getting deposit back!

I recently ended a 4 year stay in a furnished flat. Upon leaving I requested my £800 security deposit back at which point they managed to come up with a list of repairs etc that totalled 95% of my deposit. This was despite a full clean including carpet and oven etc taking place prior to leaving. I dread to think how much they would have charged if I'd left it in a mess. Would avoid using this company again completely as they obvious always intended to keep full deposit regardless of final condition. Currently seeking legal advice to get my money back.

Rubbish!

Rubbish!Booked a valuation via their online portal and had confirmation back it was in the diary. Shortly after got a phone call asking to reshuffle half an hour later. I agreed I could do it provided they were out within the hour (I had another appointment).I was promised a call back......sure enough no call back, no one turned up at the suggested times, no one rang to confirm, apologise, reorganise. If they can't even do something as simple as book a valuation or turn up for an appointment or bother to pick up the phone or drop an email, what hope is there for them to sell your home.Why are estate agents so appalling at basic communication and treat the people who generate their commision with such contempt.

They must forget that tenants pay they're wages!!

Terrible company, moved into a property in Lincoln that is disgusting (had coffee stains and splashes all over the doors and walls) plus many more disgusting marks like fingerprints. Jayne at the Lincoln branch is a joke, not sure if she was off on the day that "customer service" training took place but she obviously has no idea how to speak to people who are essentially her customers. They have been rude stating that the grass is too long (if you could have seen the jungle it was when we moved in you'd be laughing too!) they also complained about us redecorating (to a higher standard) even though they had already stated that this was fine to do.I could go on and on but we all have lives (except for those employees at Bairstow &a Eves obviously) but I would avoid this company like the plague.

Having spoken to several agents this one was terrible. Very intrusive questions ask. Non of the other estate agents asked these questions. Was it my accent? If I had a British accent would she ask those intrusive questions!!!

I’ve only had limited experience with estate agents but I can’t believe you’ll find many worse than this shower of incompetent lying fraudsters.I’m not going to bore you with the intricacies of my experience with them, just to say - they don’t act as instructed, they lie to cover their tracks and then, after being sacked, they attempt to steal your money.I sincerely hope this company go out of business. Avoid like the plague.

About Bairstoweves, Perivale, Medway parade location :I put offer on the house, was accepted. They pressurize me to use their financial service, which I accepted. I met Mr. A Kakkar, their financial advisor, on 2 different occasions. It was useless. I couldn’t any competence in him. I decided to take another mortgage broker. After that Mr. Kasru Ali, agent was dealing with the case, tried continuously to cancel the deal. He was terrible. He was always treating there is higher offer than yours available. He was telling you should be lucky to get the House. Anyway after I paid for my mortgage, solicitor, valuation and survey. Based on survey report I asked for £5k reduction. On this stage they cancelled the deal and find another “offer”. They caused to loose the house, pay around £2000, and affect my credit score and waste of 3 months time. Never deal with them. They are false and dangerous. Before dealing with this estate agent read the independent reviews in various homepages.

Unorganised branch in walsall

I used yhem to rent a property and it was a nightmare now I have left the property and trying to get back my deposit for over a month now. I heard nothing from them. I tried to contact them they said they will get back to me nothing!! I contacted them today and asked for the manager I was told the manager is on the phone and if they can help. I explained my situation, he then told me there's nothing the manager can do about it and gave me the number of the deposit team that I should contact and sort it then slammed the phone down. Surely if I went through the estate agent to rent the property paid my deposit shouldn't they sort all that out when you leave the property. They sending me elsewhere to sort it out myself.My contract ended on the 18th of August I then gave my notice to leave ending of June all of a sudden they contacting me a few times on when will I be leaving the property. I then gave back the keys to the property on the 5th of July. Well before the contract ended even though I had to move out the property well before July because of the mould and damp which caused my one year old to have asthma. I am just disappointed with my overall experience and it's only fair I get my deposit back.

I sold my house with Bairstoweves ,,it was sold for a very low price for a quick sale I needed ,they told me if I use their recommended solicitors thw commission I have to pay would be less. They work with Cavendish legal group...they are the most useless law company ever..you can never reach tger either by phone ...the whole experience was awful.
