Disappointed

Disappointed, we learned our house purchase had fallen through at the point of us being ready to exchange on our property. We found out that the office had known about it and left it to the agent, who had been looking after us, to tell us after she came back from annual leave! We never got a reason for the purchase to fall through and they even tried delaying us putting an offer in on another property. Luckily this was with another agent and we trusted our gut as the trust with Hunters had gone. 7 weeks later we were in our new home. Felt let down and disappointed with Hunters. This was our first and last time dealing with them.

Avoid with all cost!

Rented an apartment they told me it was deep cleaned before handing over the keys and everything would be fixed etc nothing was cleaned blood on walls mould in all rooms had a faulty/leaky boiler very slack on emails no communication in there office also they was very rude over the phone we never moved into the property due to all the damages and mould etc I was willing to give up my first months rent and for them to send me back the deposit but they refused to send anything back I would highly do not recommend this company/agancey to rent/buy a property from they are useless and slack

"Avoid Hunters Property Management

"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. Their arrogant demeanor gives the impression that addressing tenant concerns is a favor rather than their responsibility.Neglecting Tenant Safety and Comfort: Health and safety issues, such as rat infestations and malfunctioning alarms, were not addressed promptly, despite the serious risks they posed. The lack of urgency in handling these matters has caused significant stress and discomfort for my family.Minimal Value Added: Hunters operates more like a messenger than a property management service. They fail to provide meaningful solutions and seem content to pass the burden of responsibility onto others, leaving tenants to fend for themselves.Overall, Hunters Property Management has proven to be unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive. Both tenants and landlords deserve better. I strongly advise against using their services if you value timely resolutions, respect, and effective communication.

I have sold two properties in recent years through Hunters and I can’t recommend them enough! Zack and the team go above and beyond to get things done, Excellent communication throughout always keeping me up to date and liaising with the solicitors to make sure everything is moving forward. Hunters went above and beyond when it came to our house move, and not just on the sale. Laura and Zack were so proactive throughout the process, and that's something that can't be said for other agents in the chain or even our own solicitors. We even had communication from Laura when she wasn't meant to be working, and in the closing stages where we really needed people to push for completion, Laura was there in the office in her PJs. I'm sure she won't mind us saying that. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Robert came out and gave us all the information we needed, took fantastic photos of our property and made sure we were happy and fully understood everything. Adam then kept in contact and managed all our bookings and there was a lot 🙈 even though our first sale fell through we still sold within two weeks and even more bookings. Kept us upto date on what feedback people gave and any offers we received. Laura was fantastic towards the end of the sale keeping us upto date with completion and any information from solicitors and buyers. Whenever we rang, nothing was too much trouble and nothing was a stupid question. Highly recommend, amazing team!!

I’m not one for leaving reviews but I wanted to share my experience with hunters. We first met Robert as he came and valued our house. He was on time, polite, didn’t beat about the bush. Was extremely happy with his valuation and his pictures were mint. The advert went up on a Friday afternoon and the house was STC on the Monday morning. Buzzing!! Then came the b*llache with the solicitors doing there thing. But hunters were fantastic especially Laura who continuously chased all parties involved to move the process along. Nothing was too much trouble and happy to help even with the smallest queries. I also had dealings with Adam and Zack and they were also happy to help in anyway they could. I was really impressed with hunters as a business and can’t thank them and rate them enough!!!! I’ve swore I’m never moving again. But should I do I’d go straight back to hunters to sell. Hunters have been brilliant throughout the process of selling my house. The whole team worked amazingly at all stages of the process. Not only did they get our property listed quickly, they had several existing contacts who were looking for properties in the local area which helped secure multiple offers on my property within a week and achieve a sale well over the expected price. Rob, Laura, Zack and Adam were all great. We were kept up to date at all stages and were always happy to help no matter how small the query was. I recommend them highly to anyone looking for an estate agent. You won’t be disappointed.

I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton branch! From the very first phone call right up to exchanging contacts They have been beyond brilliant. I absolutely loved the pictures of my house and the write up most definitely did my house justice. Disappointed is an understatement..

To say we’re disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.If you’re viewing a property with the intent to buy, don’t expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. They’ll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as I’m certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.I wouldn’t usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored.We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesn’t appear to be with either buyer or seller.Happy to receive a call or email to discuss our experience with you.

Hunters are not interested

Hunters let the house adjacent to ours. There have been multiple pipe leaks around the bathroom causing flooding which in turn is causing damp smells on our side due to the length of time taken to address the issues. It's been repaired after four weeks now within hours water is currently coming through the ceiling next door soaking our party wall and they have told the tennant it's livable no problem.

I was unable to easily find, a place to go, to find all houses on hunters books, for sale. As requested by hunters I will elaborate. Not understanding technology is probably the problem. Also I have never house hunted before, so don't know the ropes. I saw a house that said for sale, Hunters est agents. Logically I looked for Hunters est agent on Google. I selected barnsley branch because the house was in Darfield. I clicked on the add for hunters est agent. It opened up lovely, telling me all about the business and staff etc. But It was not obvious to me what to do next in order to see the house I was interested in or all the other houses for sale on Hunters books. I was expecting to see pages of houses for sale from Hunters books and a facility to put in the address and hey presto view the house I wanted to see. It seems I have to go to a tottaly diffrent site. (Somthing I may well have to do whichever estate agent I use, I don't know, because the house is with Hunters.) I was frustrated not to find the house. I then phoned Hunters to say I couldn't find the property digitally, to ask how I could view the property, how to find it digitally and how much was. I was told it was sold.! Therefore had I found the diffrent site I would have probably spent hours trying to find a house that was not for sale. That is why 1 star, because I feel Hunters web site should show me all properties for sale and indicate sold subject to contract, to prevent me wasting hours looking for a property already off the market.

Awful. Incredibly disorganised. Would establish inspections and never turn up, would constantly email about overdue rent that wasn't overdue. Would pass the blame constantly. Attempted to raise my rent by a "reasonable" £200 a month six months into my tenancy which can only happen every 12 months and cannot be more than the CPI price index; they failed on both counts. Renting is honestly awful, and these clowns pray upon the anxiety of insecurity to get what they want.I have bought a house now, I wish all renters the luck to buy their own homes one day so we never have to deal with letting agents like these ever again.

I would completely recommend avoiding…

I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

We were offered a property to rent we views pre Xmas, unbeknown to us this property was advertised without full certificates so it failed the electric test, we have turned down another property for this one, we have to be out of our property in 5 days & they still cannot confirm we are able to move into the property this week after promising wc 8th of Feb would be the week, we viewed this pre Christmas ! ! ! There is a distinct lack of communication & lots of swerving the questions, can not get a straight answer creating a lack of trust We aren’t able to book removals ect as we don’t know if we can move in, the stress is unbelievable yet no one seems to care, having to look at Airbnb & storage as we still don’t have an answer Looked at the property Christmas week, it’s now 10th of February &!we still don’t know what’s happening even though we have been upfront with our situation from the beginning A very disappointing experience

Sales progression team lied and not very professional.

We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.
