We loved our landlord, and David Harries & Co was managing agency regarding maintenance and renewal. We moved out the flat this year because the landlord sold the flat. We are always happy during the 22 years. David Harris & Co looked after the flat and us very well.

GoogleThere are plenty of estate agents in Finchley, and I would strongly advise to look elsewhere to business with more integrity and honestly.
We used David Harris estate agents to try to buy our new home, however our experience was far from acceptable and the estate agents’ actions were a disgrace.
We submitted an offer for a property, was accepted by the vendor. 3 months into the process (having conducted surveys/instructed solicitors and agreed our mortgage), we were told the cash buyer had entered negotiations with the vendor and our offer was rescinded. David Harris estate agents had clearly been marketing the property underhand despite it being under offer with us. This cost us months of our time and energy, and thousands of pounds in professional fees. David Harris assured us they were a very honourable business but I can assure you that this is not the case, and the worst I have experienced to date.
In addition, they misled us with farcical stories about why previous buyers had pulled out, with two agents telling us different stories. It was a ridiculous situation and we should have seen the warning signs.

Hi Chris.We are genuinely sorry for what happened but sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. As you are aware the vendor was very keen to sell within a certain time period and they felt that it was going to take too long for you to get your mortgage approved.It was only when you told us that you were not going to be able to proceed without certain conditions being met which the mortgage company had insisted on and not before that we told you that the vendor had someone else to fall back on if you weren’t going to be able to proceed with the transaction within the set timescale but you were always their first choice.After spending in excess of £1000.00 to try and help you with your mortgage company our client wasn't willing to spend any more money to satisfy your lender's criteria.As you know the house was very old and had damp, possible dry rot and other issues which caused a problem with your lender. We would never have spent the amount of time that we did trying to help you if we didn’t genuinely believe that the transaction was going to go through.Sometimes which is inevitable we have to be the scapegoat when transactions fall through which is one of the pitfalls when transactions don’t proceed to the desired conclusion.We think it’s a bit harsh you taking out your frustration on us but understand you need to vent your feelings to someone.
In our defence there is probably a reason why we have more than 140 five star reviews and why there are very few agents in Finchley that have more five star reviews than us.We wish you good luck finding another property to purchase.

We recently applied to rent a property with Robert but had worries and concerns about the whole process as we had be let down by other agents before. After assessing our situation he put us at ease by telling us to fill in the referencing forms and then leave the rest to him. He held our hand throughout the process and gave us regular updates. We also had the pleasure of speaking with the rest of the team and we found them equally as pleasant. We can't recommend them enough
