We would like to give this 5 star google review to Haart Barkingside and all the members of the sales team !! We wanted to sell our bungalow in Newbury Park… at first we we instructed purple bricks.. but were very disappointed with communication from them… we decided to go with Haart thereafter who was the local number 1 agent on the high street. I am happy to say we have successfully exchanged contracts.. Haart and the team truly are a delight to deal and work with… Zain the move manager kept us up to date with regular updates… the transaction was in a chain and they worked with other agents and solicitors very effectively to ensure all involved were happy. We would like to give a special mention to Mithun Vagdia he was the agent who introduced the buyer for our property.. he went above and beyond all expectations.. helping us with our legal work.. and facilitating our move to the midlands in Leicestershire. We worked with Mithun, from barkingside and cannot emphasise enough what a great experience it was. When we met Mithun, we had been searching for 3 to 4 months and were yet to find our new home. Mithun was understanding, listened to what we were looking for, and showed us a number of houses. Unlike other estate agents we met, Mithun was direct, honest in describing the benefits and downsides to the house, and never pushed us to rush into decisions. The Mithun Vegdia is providing excellent customer service. He helps me to show the property and guides me step by step. All the call attendees and the replay answered my questions. He is a very friendly customer adviser. However, Hart Eastgate company should consider suggesting that if a customer spends a lot of money buying a new dream house, they might give a professional-looking small gift, like a bumper with the Hart logo and a sweet with a Hart key fob, as a beautiful gift. Not just handing over the key and leaving for the new home.

We had sold our previous place through Haart 9 years ago with Alex, and it was an easy choice to use Haart again for our sale this time around. Alex again did the initial meeting and guided us through their marketing process which was as usual very professional. Once on the market, Tony was on board qualifying the buyers and viewings and everything was managed superbly. Once our buyer was found, the conveyancing side and communications between Haart, solicitors and mortgage people was great. I would 100% recommend Haart for anyone starting the buying/selling process. It can be complicated but with Alex and Tony it felt a lot simpler.

I had a very disappointing experience with Haart, particularly with Tony from Haart Estate agent, Barkingside. His tone and the way he spoke to me came across as rude and with an attitude. I felt judged, as though I was desperate to get into the property, rather than being treated as a potential buyer. The conversation seemed more focused on pushing their mortgage adviser and AIP than understanding my interest in the property or helping arrange a viewing. If an AIP is a requirement before viewing, this should be clearly stated on the advert or explained at the beginning. Haart is providing a service and potentially earning a fee from the sale, so I would expect basic professional and respectful customer service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I feel Tony would benefit from some customer service training. Happy to provide the phone recording to management as this is extremely poor service.

Although this happened over a year ago, I believe people have the right to know, especially when potential conflicts of interest may affect a seller’s outcome. I accepted an offer from a buyer introduced by haart Barkingside, after their initial offer was rejected for being too low. The issue arose when the buyer’s surveyor later valued the property at the exact level of that original low offer. With decades of experience buying and selling property, I recognised the signs of an undervaluation that didn’t align with the true market position. What confirmed my concerns was my final visit to the haart office. The atmosphere and the reactions made it clear there was no surprise on their side about my decision to withdraw. That lack of surprise spoke louder than anything said. I chose not to proceed with a sale that didn’t reflect the property’s real value and moved on with another agent. I’m sharing this now because transparency matters, and sellers deserve to be aware of situations where interests may not be fully aligned with their own.
