We have just been able to complete with Williams Harlow. We have nothing but good things to say about the team. Particular thanks to Oliver and Ryan whose professionalism was perfect and they were very approachable and eager to help. They gave us space to think and were not pushy or the typical salesmen, but were both great at thier jobs. Also thank you Andrew for having frank and honest conversations about the market and pricing whilst not what we wanted to hear but hard truths and a week later or so we sold! I chose Williams Harlow to deal with the sale of my father's property and was extremely pleased with the professional service I received throughout the process. I initially dealt with Andrew Bull, who came to give the probate valuation of the property and was extremely considerate of the situation. Once appointing Williams Harlow to manage the sale I dealt with Steven Jones. I found him very helpful, excellent communication throughout, always keeping me up to date of any progress. The sale went very smoothly and I would not hesitate to recommend and use this agent again in the future.

Very poor experience, the estate agents have not disclosed important information from the start. 1. To begin during our initial viewing, we was informed it was no chain, which we later found out it was not. This was not the end of the world but something that should have been made very clear. 2. The council tax advertised was incorrect, again a small error, but we would expect this would have been checked by the estate agent. 3. There was also no disclosure that this property was under a management company and that the expectation was a yearly service fee. This should have been advertised, it unfair on the buyer. We considered this and decided to continue based on no other ‘bad news’. However at this point it was very clear that we had the wool pulled over our eyes. 4. Finally, this new piece of information that cannot be overlooked is that the house is a category 4 risk for Japanese knotweed. They should have disclosed this information at the very start. You are required by law to declare Knotweed when selling your house, so there is no skirting the issue either.

We just bought our very first house through Williams Harlow, and Steve Jones was our go-to guy. Steve was absolutely fantastic to work with, and we couldn't have asked for a better real estate agent. Though the process took a while due to other houses in the chain, Steve's down-to-earth attitude, clear communication, and regular updates kept us going strong. Honestly, without him, we might have thrown in the towel halfway through! We'd recommend him/Williams Harlow 100% to anyone!

Having just completed the sale of my mother's property I am writing to recommend Williams Harlow. Initially it was Andrew Bull who valued the property. I had dealt with him in the past and knew that he had an indepth knowledge of the area and the market. He noticed aspects of the property that other agents who valued the property did not mention. He was keen for the photos to be taken quickly whilst there was a period of dry sunny weather. When the photographer came he took photos of the rear of the house and garden that were basked in sunshine and then came back a few hours later to take photos of the front of the house which was then in the sun. I was very impressed with the quality of the sales brochure and I am sure this contributed to the number of viewings. The actual management of the sale was dealt with by Oliver (Ollie) Forsyth. I found him to be very efficient and professional but also approachable and kind. It was a difficult time as my mother is very poorly and we needed to arrange a simultaneous exchange and completion because of this. Ollie worked really hard to try to get the sale through as quickly as possible and throughout he kept me informed at the same time as always asking how I was. This was greatly appreciated.

Dreadful experience

I have recently sold my house through Williams Harlow and would NOT recommend them. They were complacent, misogynistic, unprofessional and quite frankly rude at times. My experience of them spanned over 9 months of trying to sell and in that time I came across more issues than I can write in a review and 2 extremely arrogant men who were always defensive even when clearly in the wrong. Thankfully I have now sold the house (mainly due to the support from another estate agent in the chain) and would not recommend Williams Harlow to sell anything of mine again. Not a good experience at all.

I have never had such a speedy, trouble-free house sale in 40 years of property ownership. Andrew visited the property on the Monday for a market appraisal and we agreed on a price, which was higher than I anticipated. We arranged to meet back at the property on the Friday, it could have been sooner but this was the earliest I could be there. I met Steven, along with the photographer and the EPC Consultant, and the house was on the market the next Monday, one week after our first meeting. The description and photography were spot on. Barry conducted a viewing that evening, and the house was under offer by 9am the very next morning! Astonishingly, this was three weeks ago yesterday, and we exchanged contracts today! There was a chain, I had a holiday, yet this was still accomplished. Every member of staff and the Director I had involvement with, conducted themselves, and the transaction, with the utmost professionalism. I am more than impressed.

I’m surprised at the many positive reviews of Williams Harlow in Banstead. We did not have a good experience. We had our apartment for sale with them for 2.5 years and it never sold. We’ve changed estate agents now, so I can edit this comment later to add how that proceeds. Most frustrating was not getting feedback after viewings. I understand some viewers don’t give feedback, but this should be communicated to us. Feedback we were given was completely unhelpful, for example, “They wanted a garden” or “two parking spaces”. Obviously we can’t do anything with that. There was an incidence where a viewing had been arranged for early evening. We were sat in our car waiting for an agent and we saw the clients arrive but no agent turned up. My husband spoke with them and they said they were expecting **** to meet them and show them the property. We were also expecting **** to turn up- both my husband and I had spoke to him on the phone. When we rang him, he said WE were meant to show them around (my husband and I). It seems he had forgotten to turn up and then lied to us, the only other explanation is he had miscommunicated with three adults which seems unlikely. We also had the frustration of getting asked by agents after viewings things like “Just checking, are you allowed pets”? We had been with them for over two years and they still didn’t know this.. also it is a leasehold so pets aren’t allowed, which they should know. This led to viewings that were a waste of our time- we have a toddler and getting the property viewing ready is a lot of work. Speaking to other estate agents, it seems we were just forgotten about and not prioritised. They could have put us as a premium listing, for example. The best part of our experience was the photographer who took excellent photos. Maybe if you have an apartment, this is not the estate agents to go with.
