Andrew and the team have been brilliant from the start. Having used a different local agency to sell my house previously, I was looking for a more customer-led approach with brilliant communication. From the valuation visit to the marketing and the sale management it has been excellent. Selling houses is a stressful time, but Andrew and the team couldn't have been more supportive. If you are looking to sell your house, Saxton Mee in Bakewell are the team to use!

Can highly recommend Steph and her team. We followed them over the road from their previous firm and didn’t regret it. Steph, Andrew, Kim, and Amanda are quick to respond to queries, remember what you have told them, and don’t make silly errors such as showing people the wrong house! Without their involvement with facilitating communication with our buyers, the sales process would have taken longer and would have been much more expensive. They were a beacon of sanity amidst a tricky situation

Very impressed with Saxton Mee Banner cross branch., in particular Janet Stevenson. Living away from Sheffield, Janet managed the sale of our property from start to end. She was always prompt to inform me of viewings and reply to correspondence etc. As our sale was progressed, she was very efficient and effective at communicating and resolving/chasing up queries etc. Saxton Mee has very good links with my solicitor at Taylor and Emmet. When our buyers solicitor was slow to progress the sale, Janet and Sally from Taylor & Emmet communicated well together to progress the sale to a more swift completion. Would highly recommend Janet at Saxton Mee Banner Cross Branch to sell your home.

Appalling company and an absolute…

Appalling company and an absolute nightmare to deal with! Communication was so bad during the sale process that we gave up on them and instead communicated directly with the estate agent for the house that we were buying for information on how the chain was progressing. The owner is also a nasty piece of work. Over a year after completion when we believed that all accounts were long settled they approached us out of the blue demanding a substantial amount of money, threatening us with charges if not paid immediately. No understanding or compassion was given and no acknowledgement of their role in causing this fiasco. I wouldn't use Saxton Mee again if they were the last estate agent on earth!

Really disappointing service levels

Really disappointing service levels, poor communication and aggressive responses to contact made to query misplaced keys, incorrect viewings etc. I wasn't complaining - just bringing it to their attention so they could rectify with the next viewing. All in all a stressful experience made much worse and we ended up losing a lot of money because we were too disillusioned to try another agent. We should have switched to ELR who gave me exemplary service when I found a property to purchase.

My first interaction with a UK estate agent for years. Very disappointing. Impossible to talk with them on the phone. Called 6 times in one day. No answer. Left message. No call back just a mail. Sent a revised offer in following discovery of a costly issue in the survey. No reply nor contact in 8 days!! And the property is on website as Sold STC. So I am THE client of the moment. I don’t understand to be honest. Would expect an agent to be all over me. They need AI agents. That would work much better! Let’s see if they see this review and if things improve. Otherwise I have to find another house.

We recently bought a holiday home in the Peak District through the Bakewell office of Saxton Mee. Judy Hudson was our negotiator and she did a superb job. They say that the path of true love is never smooth and I think it is the same with buying a house! Judy stuck with us through the ups and downs and helped us to buy the property at the price we wanted and within our timeframe. At all times everyone we dealt with at Saxton Mee were efficient, helpful, knowledgeable and straightforward. I would highly recommend them.

The whole team at Saxton Mee Bakewell have been amazing, every time we've used them. We bought a house via them 5 years ago. We then chose to sell with them 3 months ago (which all went very smoothly, especially given the ongoing challenges presented by Covid-19). Now we are in the fortunate position of being in the process of buying our next house through them too. A special mention has to go to Jenny Eyre as well though - she's been our main point of contact each time and she's been consistently nothing short of outstanding. Her professionalism, her organisation, and the high level of care and attention she works with is remarkable. Even during these difficult last 12 months for us all, Jenny and her team have worked so hard to support us with our sale and now purchase, often working well past closing time to make sure information is communicated and deadlines are reached. Recently sold our house in a couple of weeks with the Banner Cross branch. We were 100% impressed with the commitment of all the staff. Vanessa did the valuation and was absolutely correct in her assessment and extremely knowledgeable and professional. Janet was the link who kept us up to date with every step of the way, regarding viewings and ongoing progress with solicitors etc. Emails and phone calls were responded to immediately. The correspondence from Stephanie Carmichael has been rude and intermittent and we have lost the house we had spent time and money buying! Avoid at all costs!

Saxton Mee "look after" the empty property next door to mine. Their fire alarms have been running out of battery for 3 weeks now, resulting in a high pitched beep that we can hear through the walls going off around once ever 3 minutes (all the alarms are electronically connected so all of the alarms sound an alert when this happens). I've called Saxton Mee upwards of 6 times in the last 3 weeks, who always just assure me that they will sort it. Someone is yet to come to the property. The bleeping sound really upsets the dog I look after at weekends and not to mention myself and the people I live with - the alarm continues to sound all through day and the night. I've asked Saxton Mee to take my phone number and keep me updated but so far nothing - I just seem to keep getting passed around the team and assured that someone named "bronte" will sort it.
