People aren’t wrong when they say buying a house is one of the most stressful things you can do, but thanks to Steph, Alastair, and the fantastic team at Corum in Shawlands, the whole process felt much easier and even enjoyable (at times)! From the very beginning, they were incredibly supportive and proactive, always ready to answer questions and guide us through every step.

GoogleWe recently sold and bought through Corum, and I honestly can’t thank them enough. From day one, they were supportive, professional, and genuinely invested in helping us through what turned out to be a pretty stressful experience. We got fantastic advice from the team when it came to selling our home. They really knew what they were doing and helped us get it just right for the market. Their support meant we achieved a great price at closing date, and the whole selling process felt far less overwhelming than I expected. Lindsey was absolutely brilliant throughout. She handled the negotiations on our new home and was such a steady, reassuring presence throughout the process. And honestly, if it wasn’t for Lindsey giving me that little nudge, I don’t think I’d have had the confidence to go for the house we’re now in, which has always been my dream home. They also recommended Murphy Scoular for our mortgage, and they were amazing too. It really helped having that kind of guidance through every stage of the process. What really stood out was how personal the whole experience felt. No matter who I spoke to, everyone knew who I was and exactly where we were in the process. Even though I know they’re dealing with lots of clients, it never felt that way. They made me feel like I was the only one. I’m a total stress head, but Lindsey and the team kept me calm, reassured, and supported the entire way through. I’m so grateful to all of them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Corum to anyone. They genuinely care, they’re amazing at what they do, and they made this whole journey possible for us.

GoogleTerrible experience purchasing a property through Corum. Dealt with Gillian in the Ayr office. Failed to mention when booking 2 viewings or at closing date that the sellers of the property were renovating their future home which could delay the date of entry. Only on our offer being accepted did Corum tell our Solicitor to "remind us" of the renovation situation. It then took 7 months for us to actually get the keys to the property which would have been a lot less stressful had we had the full picture from the outset. Previous to offering on our property we had requested viewings on other properties and never received calls back. Unprofessional and unhelpful experience.

Barrie provided a thorough and accurate valuation of our home and said that we would secure a sale at a price significantly higher than the home report value. He was right. Top class! 5 star review, I had the pleasure of working with Barrie Gilchrist at Corum during a particularly emotional time as I was selling my mother’s home and purchasing a new one. Barrie was not only incredibly professional and knowledgeable but also compassionate and supportive throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy. Barrie provided expert advice on how to present my mother’s home for sale, ensuring we got the best possible price. His photos were excellent. On top of that, when it came to buying my new home, he went above and beyond, offering great tips on remodelling. His attention to detail and clear communication made me feel confident in every decision. I highly recommend Barrie and the Corum team for anyone looking to sell or buy a home. His expertise and thoughtfulness truly made a difference.

I was impressed by the professionalism of the Corum Ayr team from the start of the process to sell our home, to the successful closing date offer two weeks later. The process was explained, home report organised, viewings scheduled, and carried out by Corum, and we were given feedback on viewings the following day. They provided advice and reassurance throughout.

Really it was a first class experience from beginning to end. I dealt with the Shawlands office and every member was extremely professional. I also appreciated the honestly in dealing with our purchase and sale. I was kept up to date with everything either by email or phone. Been over 30 years since I have moved, so not aware of current procedures but no question was considered irrelevant nor ridiculous. Greg and Steph helped me through every step of the way and were willing to go the extra mile.

My experience with the glasgow west end team is that they sell things quickly without many viewings. This makes their lives easier but won’t get sellers the best price without more folks viewing and making offers. One week is not long enough for a property to be on the market - it’s not good for buyers or sellers. Who is it good for? CORUM.

Such a positive experience selling through Corum recently… would highly recommend considering using their professional and consistently expert team. From the valuation, carried out by senior valuer, Barrie Gilchrist, who provided a professional service, yet in a warm and approachable manner, to the team in the office who guided us through the process with honest and trustworthy communication. We would not hesitate to use Corum in the future.

Their valuation was realistic, their approach to marketing my house was effective, and I found them to be really responsive, friendly and efficient whenever I needed to speak to them. Lindsey in particular was fantastic. Viewings were organised well, everything worked as it should. I would definitely use them again.

FacebookWe bought and sold with Corum recently. We don’t move often and the process seems to have changed significantly since we moved 20 years ago. Colin was great and patient at answering our random questions and ensuring we were happy with photos. Feed back was provided really quickly from Lindsay and Avril re viewings and Corum chased many things up relating to our sale that I thought would have been lawyers remit. All in all moving is stressful but Corum’s professional but friendly attitude made this journey significantly easier. Thanks all.

GoogleI had the pleasure of having Colin look at my property when I was looking to sell. As I was going to be absent for much of the selling process, I was a little nervous. However, Colin put me at ease with his knowledge, genuineness, empathy and reassurance of being able to provide any help as needed. This he entirely lived up to, going beyond my hopes, for which I am incredibly grateful. I followed his and his staff's advice throughout the complete process and can only congratulate them on their knowledge and how they managed everything. Barry was the initial contact, his vision, enthusiasm and advice are second to none, from how to market the property, organising photo shoots, brochure layout and drone footage ect ect has a real passion gained from years experience in properties sales. Lindsay in the office again similar to Barry has professionalism and fantastic communication skills with loads of knowledge gained with many years in the housing market. Karen who done alot of the viewings again with her enthusiastic and professionalism done her bit to get the sale over the line. To the whole team at Corum Ayr thank you for a 7 star service.
