I have had an extremely satisfactory experience using Lenwell when looking for a property to stay at for the next 6 months. Our initial experience with our letting agent, James, was great but as soon as we paid for our first month's rent and signed our contract things went quickly downhill when we were handed over to our property manager - Barbara Karwala. We were pressured to move into the property and sign the agreement over a month sooner than we were wanting to move but we did our best to accommodate this with the provision that a number of works be carried out on the property including the locks being changed on the house and garage. It has now been two weeks since our tenancy officially began and in that time none of the works have been completed and we cannot move into the property. They took our rent twice and, two weeks later, the excess still hasn't been refunded, and at every turn our property manager has all but ignored us. They were great up until the point they took our money and we had signed the contract. We are currently in the process of seeking legal advice for compensation but we are appalled with the lack of communication and customer service. James from the Aylesbury branch has been fantastic throughout, constantly chasing for updates and remaining in contact with us even though it's not his job. His level of service is fantastic and it's such a shame that our experience went downhill so quickly. At this stage, we cannot recommend using this letting agency and we're concerned about the year-long contract we have already signed.
