GoogleTotal ripoff merchants. Tenant contracts only have break clauses included if you insist on one being written in. Hartwells are here purely to work on behalf of the landlords, the hidden charges are disgusting and will be served at you on every turn. Unprofessional and poor customer service. If you want to be treated like rubbish and a private bank to be taken advantage of then use Hartwells. If you have any sense walk away now! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

GoogleRented a property through this company for just over 4 years. They would expect me to be home to let people in to carry out maintenance and if I could not be at home they would give random people a key to let themselves in unescorted. It was not always communicated when someone was coming and on several occasions I had to change my plans last minute. Check in was carried out by the letting agent but checkout was carried out by a much more thorough 3rd party which was extremely detailed and resulted in some of my deposit not being returned, and this after 4 years of excellent 6 monthly inspections stating we were model tenants and the house was immaculate. A number of times, neighbours said that I had taken better care of the property than the owner. Finally, if you do rent from Hartwells AKA Alexander & Co ensure that all communication is via email, especially when you want to give notice to end your tenancy. We gave notice by telephone on the correct day however, 2 days later we were told that because we did not submit our notice in writing we have to extend by a further month. Suffice to say that I am overwhelmingly disappointed in the lettings and property management teams and would never recommend anyone use their services!

GoogleWe have recently moved to the area. We had the pleasure of dealing mainly with Lara who was absolutely amazing in helping us get the property we loved despite there being many viewings for it. She went above and beyond and was very responsive with any queries we had even on her days off! Her communication was amazing and always kept us in the loop. Thanks a lot for all your help

GoogleAgents often have a bad reputation but not this one if you want the best Agent speak to Matt Wood. Could not fault his professionalism and attitude, said he would sell my house when other agents could't and at a price that was above my expectations. If you want someone who is as I said professional and engaging then this is your man. I will have no hesitation in recommending your 1st class services to family and friends

GoogleReally unprofessional agency, especially if you are a tenant. They convinced the landlords to do yearly contracts in order to ask for a yearly new fee to the tenant and they found all the excuses to make the landlord save money on the tenant’s expense, even on the landlord’s duties. When I bought my property, I happily excluded anything coming from Alexander & Co because I did not want to give them a penny.

GoogleI have worked professionally alongside Alexander and Co for a number of years as a contractor and have found them to be professional and fair towards their contractors, tenants and landlords. All the staff are approachable and efficient, it is a pleasure to carry out work on their behalf. Despite having recently moved offices and changed their name, they have still kept a seamless operation and their staff continue to give an excellent service.

GoogleI personally would not recommend them, I’m currently renting a flat with them, issues after issues, moved in and had no hot water or heating for nearly 2 months in the freezing winter, with no apologies or rent deductions. Damp in the property, I cannot wait to leave. They never repair anything and things which were broken despite frequent and repeated reminders to property manager Frida and the landlord. Outstanding joke! Money grabbing b******s!

GoogleI would highly recommend Alexander & Co We have been dealing with Hannah who has kept as well informed and given as great contacts as Frist time buys its pretty daunting but Hannah has made everything very simple and stress Free. The best thing I liked also when I contacted Alexander & Co they didn’t ask for to many details which can be off putting. They set me up a couple of views.
