The Green - Home purchased 2023

I purchased a Gleeson homes last year on the green estate and can say that I would recommend Gleeson to anyone looking to buy a new build property. Mary in the sales office was brilliant communicating with me throughout the process and updating me on any changes or requests. Finding my property to purchasing took around 5 months and the only delay in the process was the solicitors part that was outside of Gleeson's control. The build quality in my view is great, I haven't had any issues or needed to request any repairs or improvements. Ian and his team on-site are great, approachable and considerate to people occupying the houses when it still is in parts a building site as they continue to build.

Smooth Reservation Process

So far, the buying process has been very smooth and informative. Tina has been tremendous; she’s been patient and proactive in resolving any queries we have had. The customer care we have received has made this an easy process and given us confidence in what we are buying. Double check what upgrades are required for items you might assume are 'standard'. Other than that the other options are reasonably costed, and make Gleeson a very good start for First Time Buyers.I look forward to completing the process and moving in!I can't speak for aftercare yet, as I have not moved in, but I will update this space accordingly.

Great open day.

We attended the open day on Saturday 27th January at Firbeck Fields and later visited the new homes developments at Rhodes Point and Vickers Grange.We spoke to Shelly at Rhodes point who was really helpful and gave us lots of useful information and it was Karen Woolley at the other two sites, she was brilliant and very helpful spending lots of time going through the different properties and showing us around the show homes, she answered all our questions and provided us with the necessary literature.Overall excellent.Ruth & Steve King

Deborah at the Monarch Green site has…

Deborah at the Monarch Green site has been amazing! We’re unfortunately not buying a house on her site but, there is a completed version of the house style we want at Monarch.Deborah has been full of knowledge and so happy to help. I’ve spoken with her a few times now and she’s facilitated visits to the completed house on two occasions so we could look around to make sure it was right for us. This is what sold the house to us and made us want to reserve this style in the first place. Thank you Deborah!

From the very beginning the Sales team…

From the very beginning the Sales team and the Site manager and his staff at Petersmiths Park, New Ollerton, have been excellent and friendly off course. Communication has been good giving me updates on my first home getting built. The Nags that got picked up pre-completion date, got sorted within couple of weeks since i moved in just before Christmas. While living here as well i have find couple of issues with house, reported it and getting sorted out now. Which is good thank you

New beginning

My journey to find my home began in 2022 when I came across Gleesons newbuilds at Blidworth near Mansfield.After meeting Mary at the showhome office i decided to look around the Tyrone house which I fell in love with straight away.The layout and design the spacious kitchen to entertain family and friends was perfect for me so with the help of the Gleesons team especially Mary,I decided to buy my home which I moved into in 2023 I haven't had any problems and the house is built to a high standard .The whole team work very hard to build homes for people to make memories for the future and I would definitely recommend Gleesons homes to anyone .

Our experience so far with Gleeson Homes

Me and my partner are currently in the process of getting our first home. Gleeson Homes are amazing! Especially Jon at Squirrel Fold who has gone above and beyond for us! Jon managed to push for our plot to be released as an early bird option and he has taken his time to explain absolutely everything about our plot and what is included in our new home. Good company

We have had a quite a few issues since we moved in July 2022 at plot 56. Our cooker hood wasn't working properly. Eventually, we had to get someone not from Gleesons to fix it and straighten it out, because the customer care team were ignoring us. Also, we had issues with our front door, where we still had a gap underneath. Now, fair enough, Gleesons sorted that out. We are still having issues with sorting our timers for our central heating, but gleesons care team still haven't sent someone round to sort it.In all fairness, they are only getting 5 stars, is because of the sales team. There has been one lovely lady who has done so much for is and that is Deborah who works on the sales side. She has been so helpful and wonderful from the beginning

Seamless Journey to owning our home (Dane Park)

Getting a mortgage offer within a week doesn’t sound realistic but with the help of God and Leanne, this was made possible. My partner and I found Gleeson after looking at multiple developments, nowhere offered what we were looking for apart from Gleeson where we've purchased a beautiful 4 bedroomed home in December. The service we have received from Sales Executive Leanne Leighton has been second to none, guiding us through every part of the process, no question was too stupid and no request was any bother, even after completing the sale, an absolute credit to this company who are very lucky to have her. The workmen on site have looked after us well, especially Mark and Ian, completing any snags found there and then, or any manufacturer faults reported, we are very happy homeowners!

Only good things to say about this house builder..

Brilliant company to deal with and to purchase a New Build house from.We first arrived at the Meadowcroft development in Winterton, North Lincolnshire the day after visiting a competitor’s development, unfortunately we had left the competitor development with a less than positive feeling.Thankfully at Meadowcroft we got this amazing fuzzy feeling, and a positive vibe that this was going to work from the start, this was only a few minutes after walking through the door at the sales office, then after seeing the houses on offer the positive vibes and discussions with the salesperson continued.As we were going for a part exchange, we had to wait for an evaluation and offer from the Gleeson PX company for our existing home before we could do anything, however we still got a feeling for the houses available on the development on that first meeting and went home with some ideas on what we would go for.Less than 2 weeks later we had our PX offer and we were back at the development to see what was available, we traded up on what we had initially thought we would go for and paid a deposit.Around 8 weeks later we were in our new home, and that happened to be just the start of understanding how good the onsite team really were, 2 snags both dealt with quick and efficiently (logged through the mygleeson site), nothing too much trouble, and other than normal shrinkage gaps no major issues, great quality build with good quality fixtures and fittings.We have had visitors who have had houses built for them and they commented on how good the work was, quality of plaster work etc. as well as the quality of fixtures and fittings and appliance used in the fitted kitchen.Every one of the team that we have encountered are polite and great to deal with. For a few weeks just before Christmas we were right in the thick of the building work being the only finished house at that end of the development, you wouldn’t have known, I was working from home and the building team were extremely respectful, you didn’t really know they were there working on the other houses.Kudos to everyone that I have met and had the pleasure of interacting with, special mention to:Cayne the snaggerChris the joinerAndy in Customer CareSimon the forklift driverScott, Assistant Site Manager (for always keeping me informed)Richard, Site ManagerJill in sales (especially for going above and beyond on handover day and keeping us warm until funds were transferred on what was a rotten day weather wise)You won’t find a nicer group of people anywhere, trust me!We love our new house, our only regret was that we didn’t get to look at the 4 bed showhouse on the initial visit, if we had we would have stretched ourselves for one of the 4 bed houses, that’s our own fault as we had a 3 bed in mind from the beginning, however if Jill was our sales person from the start we probably would have ended up with a 4 bed.Here's hoping this positive review of our experience of buying from Gleeson and living in the property for 7 weeks helps prospective buyers, and doesn’t bite me on the backside later on, and here’s hoping for the next few years of trouble free home ownership!

Lovely helpful staff

I would like to say a big thank you to the staff at Middlestone Meadows development. The sales representative, Jackie, was fantastic from beginning to end; without her, I doubt I would have moved forward with purchasing my first home here. She is a valuable asset to Gleeson Homes and is always willing to help! Another sales representative named Deena is also very kind and supportive! I'm overjoyed that Gleeson Homes helped me purchase my first house. Although the house came with some defects, the Site Manager Dave was and still is really helpful in fixing them to ensure my home looks just how I expect it to. I will report a defect and within 1 to 2 days, someone will pop over to help fix the problem. Thank you Gleeson.

I had a fantastic experience overall

I had a fantastic experience overall , on completion I had a hand over with Scott Isle who has kept in touch & helped with any snags and issues . He has answered my queries timely and really gone the extra mile to make my move painless . I really appreciated the help . In fact all the staff on site have been remarkable . I would never have bought a new build but it suited my current needs so I would again .I would point out the drive isn’t finished and o can’t use it due to the car I drive and little things such as the lino being easily marked ( thin) and the bath tiles only tiled a couple rows above the bath so the wall is already wet and I am paying for my bathroom to be retiled but the house was complete when purchased so there wasn’t any choice and I was surprised the garage didn’t come with electrics . That said the house is lovely for me and as I said the customer service from Scott and his team has been exceptional

Disappointing Build Quality and Aftercare on a New-Build Home

We recently moved into our new-build property and, unfortunately, our experience so far has been disappointing. Within the first few weeks, we started reporting multiple snagging and cracking issues around door frames, window seals, walls, stairs, handrails, and other finishing areas. Several of these concerns were either declined or dismissed as normal shrinkage despite the property being brand new.

I have given an overal review of my customer experience of 5 stars, based on all staff I have interacted with, especially Sharon Binns who's "can do " attitude and nothing is too much trouble resonated with us, especially as she fought hard to get us the ceramic flooring we wanted. Neil Whitford, a true professional, who goes the extra mile and is in constant contact with me, to ensure any issues/snags we have are taken care of swiftly. I totally accept that new builds have snags and I will revisit this review at a later date (we have only been In a month) with an update to see if everything has been taken care of to our satisfaction. So far overall, all staff strive for customer satisfaction, which is far derived from all the negative comments about Gleeson homes.

Been amazing from start to finish, had a few small snags once moved in and all has been sorted within a timely manner. Couldn’t be happier with my new home and I trust that should anything come up they will be on hand to help sort it.Sharon and Josh kept in touch throughout, from sale to completion.The site manager was fabulous, only met him at site when we were viewing the property being built but he was able to answer any questions I had and since moving in if we have needed anything, even down to a tin of paint for a few marks we made moving in they have been straight round. I have had multiple phone calls since moving in to make sure we are settled in and checking if we have anything that needs checking or snagging. I can’t fault the build it’s perfect! From reservation, Mary George, Sales Executive was amazing. The journey of buying my lovely Gleeson home was faultless, and I was made to feel very special. When I got the keys to my Tyrone, and viewed it complete, I was do happy with the quality, customer service, and site team, mentioning Ian Storrie, Site Manager, and Chris Large who was the assistant at the time. I absolutely love my house, it is so cheap to run, I had a small number of defects, which were dealt with and fixed in a timely manner. I love the area I live in, the best move I have ever made. Buying our first Gleeson Home

The process of buying our first Gleeson home couldn’t have been made easier by the Sales Executive Sophie Murray. As we were first time buyers, Sophie Explained everything in detail and was always available if we needed any questions answered. Her communication throughout was excellent. First time buyers

As first time buyers we looked around many different organisations and found the show homes at Wragby and customer service with Scott (Sales Executive) the best. In Dec 2023 we moved into our new build at Hawthorn Fields, Wragby. Scott was fantastic with communication, support and advice and made the process seamless. Upon hand over we had a thorough walk through and we were pleased with the result. A year on and Scott is still on site, happy to offer support and help with questions. Scott is an asset to the Gleeson team and we would 100% recommend this process.

I’ve given 1 star only because can’t give zero stars.

Pinfold park Bridlington. I’ve given 1 star. Only because you have to give something to do this review. Gleeson are the worst company. Their customer service is disgraceful. They make out when trying to sell yu a property that they are here to help. At first they came to fix there mistakes and the people on the ground the real grafters are great. It’s the customer service and management. They are happy now that money is in the bank. I’ve been trying for months to get a problem resolved that is an oversight by them but they are saying it’s something I did but this is not the case. It’s a simple thing to resolve that is part of the warranty but customer care if yu can call them that and management are not abiding by the warranty. Which is absolutely unacceptable. We only want what’s right. Which is what they say to yu before yu buy but this is not the case on there part. Disgusting attitude from this company. Reading most of the reviews I’m obviously not the only one. Do not buy from Gleeson. I wish I had never bothered.plot 87. Typical. This just proves that Gleeson are a bad company. Hence my original post. Do not buy of this conning company.
