Professional, efficient and friendly service. All the staff at the Rainham Branch of Bairstow Eves have been outstanding and a pleasure to deal with.I originally used a lesser known estate agents, who did have cheaper fees, but I received a very poor service and consequently with no sale of my property. You really do get what you pay for.Being very apprehensive with estate agents in general, I decided to give Rainham (Essex) Bairstow Eves branch a try.They were absolutely brilliant and I cannot fault any of their staff.Thank you, Chris and your first class team.

KEEPING MY 3500 GBP (deposit & partial rent) for no reason

Partial rent & deposit is still not paid to me in more than 100 days after leaving the rented property on 31st March 2024. I had to leave the rented property early to move to mortgaged house. I have paid them 1500 GBP their non-sense early contract exit and property ad fees; still they are shamelessly keeping my partial rent (paid rent for full month April) and deposit of 2000 GBP, which is nearly 3500 GBP. I was not expecting their service to be the worst in the market. I am going to report to property ombudsman for sure. NO ONE SHOULD USE THEIR DISGUSTING SERVICES.

I feel safe now I've handed in my notice to write a review. Fed a complete pack of lies to get us to sign the contract, they're obviously operating in fear of landlords as they threatened my tenancy if I pursued a contactual obligation. Of course they wouldn't put anything in writing they'll only intimidate you to your face and after you're locked in. Completely disorganised, didn't even give us a front door key after I questioned it at the office when I collected them, they reassured me that the key was for the front and the back door key was at the property. This was true except I had 2 back door keys. Waited 6 weeks to get a carpet replaced, and couldn't use the main bedroom until it had been done, they didn't see this as a problem but I beg to differ. Waited another 6 weeks without a working bath after it cracked and they failed to pursue the landlord to resolve the situation. Still have numerous issues in the property but they couldn't give a flying monkeys. Also notified the council of all the faults and saga while we've been here. Can't wait to move on. Wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole. Couldn't pay me to live in a property managed them. Remember that you're nothing but a paycheck to them, keep your gob shut or get kicked out. 0/10 Edit: to your reply. You didn't give a damn when I was your tenant what makes me think you'll give a damn now. This review is to warn other tenants, no matter how desperate you are, go somewhere else.NegativeProfessionalism

I cannot rate Lauren and Bairstow Eves highly enough. Without her there is no way we'd have found our perfect house. She remembered us, and our situation and preferences which is extremely impressive as we'd not really dealt with her many times during our house search. Bairstow Eve and all the staff we've dealt with have been honest, and have kept to their word, which is very refreshing. Having dealt with another very well known estate agents in the area we were beginning to feel like all estate agents were not to be trusted but very glad to be proven wrong by Bairstow Eves and Lauren. We can't thank you enough. I would highly recommend using them over others, as a brand that fosters good honest relationships with its clients. A positive oasis in this backbiting and shark filled field.

I would advise everyone to avoid …

I would advise everyone to avoid Bairstowe Eves Great Barr. We received very poor disorganised service in our case. It all started badly with them getting our property mixed up with another! It ended badly with it taking 5 months to sell to our very keen cash buyer. When this same property was purchased in 2003 it was all done in less than two and a half months, obviously Bairstowe was not involved.

Wish I used an alternative agent.

Most expensive agent we had come to assess our property. Did the bare minimum at every step of the way and were not helpful in any way imaginable. Did not want to get involved in anything and we were left to do our own sales & purchase progression while paying a hefty premium for the privilege. My advice would be to avoid Bairstow Eves and use a cheaper agent, while you'll still have to do a lot of the legwork yourself, you'll save yourself thousands of pounds.

Moved out of a rented property 29/07/2024. Chased and chased for updates about my deposit being returned only to keep being informed we are awaiting details from the landlady. According to my tenancy agreement I should have been informed within 10 days of any ‘proposed’ deductions. 3 weeks on and no further forward. If I was in breech of the tenancy agreement they would be quick to act but when it’s the other side.. nothing!

One of worst letting agent

One of worst letting agent , they don’t have any ethics, they just need money 💰, worst customer service, we got a flat for rent in worst condition, they gave without cleaning, used toilet didn’t even flush , really shame on them, when we gave a complaint they didn’t even apologise, and flat is also worst condition, it needs to refurbish but gave for rent. Full of oily kitchen, got shocked after seeing bathroom. Owner will not pick calls, this letting agent will not take responsibility, but they signed on behalf of owner on the agreement. But surely I will not leave them, I’ll post in every forums.

Advertised flat for sale with a alloted…

Advertised flat for sale with a alloted parking space, then to be told I could only park my car in a very small space tight up against a wall, the space was smaller than my car, I don’t have a big car. I made it quite clear to Bairstow Eves that I only considered the flat as it had parking, not alloted small smart car only parking! The lies continued with this firm and they just repeat themselves like parrots. It has cost me 2.5k in fees and I have to pull out so a chain of 4 people before me are also going to be effected, I was literally at contract stage, the stress is unbearable that I and others are now going to suffer. I do NOT recommend this company, their tactic is also to say to the seller while you are there, oh don’t forget you have a viewing later and 2 further ones booked in! This is pressure selling and more than likely lies. The management guy that runs the upkeep of the building told me that if I couldn’t park there that I should have my licence taken away, change your car to a smart car! His rudeness continued until I was left in tears, the agent just stood by and did nothing! Avoid this company, they talk the talk but never follow through.
