My first enquiry for a property I wanted to rent was with the lovely Jodie. She was instantly warm engaging and made me feel at ease I knew I was in good hands . The property I enquired about didn’t except animals but after a week Jodie came back to me and said she had spoken to the landlord saying she had a lady (me) who was really nice and interested in viewing the property . I instantly fell in love with the house and was shown around by Maisie who again was professional and warm . I instantly put an application in there and then and Jodie said she will let me know the next day if it was accepted,Thankfully it was and every step of the way Jodie kept me updated with my application. Both Jodie and Maisie were so professional and approachable throughout . I would definitely recommend the Bairstow Eve team to anyone who wants a smooth journey . I cannot recommend these enough! I have just bought a house with the most uncommunicative solicitors. If it weren't for Ethan from Bairstow Eves, I'm not sure the sale would have even happened yet. He was absolutely phenomenal chasing both mine and the sellers solicitors for me and keeping me updated every step of the way. He was extremely helpful and kind all the way through the process. As a first time buyer, it was completely unknown territory for myself, and Ethan made this experience so much easier and helped alleviate a lot of stress when my solicitors weren't answering me. If I ever sell myself, I'll definitely be using Bairstow Eves. Thank you!

Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Fantastic experience yet again with Bairstow Eves, especially Jodie and Ross. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances our landlord served us notice, which was already renting through Bairstow Eves. Ross was exceptionally kind and thoughtful in explaining everything to us. He then quickly turned his attention to help us find a new home ASAP and that is exactly what he did. Within a few weeks we have now moved house and are settled in and the change went as great as possibly could be expected. Once the property was found, Jodie helped us every step of the way keeping us updated all the way through. We honestly can not thank them enough for all of their help and hardwork. Thankyou.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

Birstow Eves dealt with the sale of my sister's property fabulously, which was extremely complex. From the process which Ross began I have been very impressed with the service I have received. The number of viewings through to a sale agreement Ross and the team kept me informed throughout. However my special mention has to go to Ethan who has gone above and beyond throughout. His patience and communication have been nothing short of exemplary. He has been reassuring when needed and knowledgeable too. I’m extremely pleased with the service provided by Bairstow Eves Hucknall, most especially with Jodie’s extremely warm and brilliant reception! I first viewed the property I was interested in with Ross, and shortly after, Jodie came back with positive news. My sister and I were so surprisingly pleased at the speed with which Jodie took on tasks regarding our Enquiry and we were good to go in about 2 weeks!! Bairstow Sutton In Ashfield branch has been wonderful. We have had bad experiences before with moving houses. The staff there put us at ease straight away. Bethany came and valued it. Updated us every step of the way, later helped me sort all paperwork. Laura and Lisa were there to ease out nerves and Ebony kept us informed throughout, chasing up our questions to solicitors and the other estate agent. All the team were professional and efficient. But most of all caring about their clients.

DO NOT TRUST BAIRSTOW EVES, Property Rented Without a Valid Licence

I am writing this to warn other families. My family and I have experienced nothing but stress and chaos since renting a property through Bairstow in May 2026.After moving in, we discovered to our horror that the property was let without a valid property licence. When we raised this serious legal issue, the agency completely absolved themselves of responsibility, blaming the landlord. Under UK housing law, letting agents have a strict legal duty to verify and ensure proper licensing is in place before letting a property.The customer service at this branch is shockingly unprofessional. Particular staff members, Mehmet, Rejaul, and Exene, are completely evasive. They take weeks to respond to emails and refuse to answer the phone. On the rare occasion we do manage to speak to them over the phone, they make empty promises to send over details, only to go completely silent and ignore all subsequent emails.Avoid Bairstow at all costs if you value your peace of mind and legal safety. They take your money and completely abandon their legal obligations.

From viewing the property to moving in, it all happened very quickly but Amber was amazing. I couldn't say anything bad about her at all. From start to finish, she kept us updated, ran through everything with us and made sure we were happy with everything that was going on. I couldn't of asked for a better estate agents company to go through and I felt so at ease knowing it was in the good hands of estate agents like Amber. Such a lovely woman and so easy to get along with. Jodie was also amazing, she was the lady who gave us our keys and went through all the documents. Any questions we had whether they were big or small, she was happy to answer them and didn't make us feel stupid as we are first time tenants. From the moment we sat down she made me feel relaxed and had a massive smile on her face which made the experience even more exciting. Myself and my partner are chuffed with the experience we've had and would definitely go through Bairstow Eves again.

House sale fail due to Agent mismanagement.

Unfortunately not a great experience with Bairstow In Kirbky-In-Ashfield. Of course they are very polite and all that, but I have to report that I believe they are responsible for a house sale falling through. What should of been a minor/nothing complaint from a neighbour was ignored for around a month despite them receiving daily phone calls and e-mails. Eventually when the pressure was too much for them to ignore they decided to contact the buyer in the closing stages rather than myself, which scared him off. I then had to chase up what was happening as they firstly ignored me and then denied knowledge of any complaint at all - acting as if i was bringing the news to them after I found out through the buyer coming to my home telling me it's off. The 'problem' could of easily be averted between me and the neighbour had I been told.

I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property

I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property for the last two years. However the deliverables that were set out when signing the agreement were not met, from increasing rent annually according to market rent, to making sure that licenses were in place throughout the two year let. I have both times went out and got the gas certification and then sent it over to them myself, this was a managed service and Ideally they should have provided this service if not a reminder at least.

She was very helpful throughout the process and made everything easy for us. She showed us the property and then exchanged some emails with us for arranging the checks and finally we met her at the agency for signing the tenancy agreement.
