From the very first day I met Ashley Harwood from the Cirencester branch of Stutt & Parker I found that I could communicate with him, which in today’s world is not something to take for granted, he was the agent that was the closest in valuation to what the cottage archived, the price was not inflated, just realistic. Throughout the sale his support team did everything they needed to do to keep me up to date with any progress and fed back from the potential buyers, if I had another home to sell I would definitely take to Ashley and his team at Strutt & Parker.

Unprofessional and Unethical Estate agent. My offer for full asking price was accepted against one of their listings for which I did proceed straight away after they have issued me a memorandum of sale. Got structural survey done within the next 48 hours and solicitor also carried out few searches without any delays. After 5 days, I received a call that seller has accepted another higher offer and estate agent asked me to increase my offer again. They have cleverly put all blames on the seller that its their choice. How can an estate agent carried on with further viewings after a Memo of sale was issued. They have only looked after their own and seller interest and ignored the interest of the purchaser. They are using UK law to their advantage so that they get more commission on sale. So be aware, if your offer is accepted, they can still sell it to other buyers and you will be left with frustrations and out of monies from your pocket with this estate agent. In response to your comments: I agree that UK law allows you to put forward all offers to the seller but is it written in the legislation which allowed you to carry on with further viewings after an offer is accepted? This is unethical and wrong practice to string along an offer and carry on with further viewings until you receive a better offer. Property was off the market with STC which means no further viewings were permitted. I am taking my complaint to redressal as I have no intentions to let go of it.

At times the sale process became a bit stressful due to delays with solicitors and some issues further down the chain. Our sale was complicated by the fact that we live overseas and I must say that Daniel and the team genuinely provided levels of support and service that went far far above the job description of estate agent. Upon moving into the property, we noticed a few problems within the house, general wear and tear but concerning to ensure the house remains un-damaged.
