We relied on Jane for regular updates, calm practical responses and consistent replies keeping the information pathway between us and our seller open. We can’t thank Henry Adams enough for being so very responsive knowledgeable kind and good humoured. I am writing this review to express my utter distaste and disbelief at the customer service I have received from this business. I recently enquired regarding an apartment which had been advertised by your team on Rightmove and which I was very interested in renting. Therefore I called your team immediately to arrange a viewing. I managed to secure the first viewing of the apartment within the earliest time slot. Once this was arranged (as it was days in advance of the viewing appointment) I had time to think it over and didn’t want to take the chance of losing this property so I once again communicated with your team to see whether I could put an offer in without viewing the apartment as I was happy with the photos posted on the site. I was told that it is not possible and that I need to view the apartment first. After viewing the apartment I spoke to your office immediately to put in an offer and I even went over and above the asking price to secure the property. I was told my offer will be put through to the landlord and I would get an answer the following day. The following day, I had heard nothing, no communication whatsoever so once again I rang your office around midday to ask for an update. I was told the person dealing with it was not in that morning which is why there is a delay but he would get back to me in the afternoon. There was still no communication. I called the office again at around 3:30pm for an update after the flat status had miraculously changed to ‘let agreed’ online. I was then informed that the status was updated to stop further enquiries but they’ve not come to a decision yet but someone will call me back by the end of day (6pm). I can’t help but think that this is not true as every time I communicated it seemed like I was bothering them and was an inconvenience asking for an update on my offer when I was promised a call that day. All I wanted was an update! Fast forward to 5:30pm I call again and was told that a message has been passed for someone to call me back urgently before 6pm. I didn’t receive any call, as expected. The following morning I hoped someone would get back to me first thing having passed the message the following evening… but no call once again. I then called up at 10:45am to be told “We’ve just taken a holding deposit and unfortunately the landlord did not choose you. We were actually about to call you right now!” (Hmm, sure). I wasn’t given any other information and the lady on the phone rushed to end the call but said they would call me back if anything changes. In my humble opinion, they had already earmarked this property for somebody else prior to the viewings. After having to call up 4 times for an update I don’t believe anyone will contact me. I have provided my phone number and email also but I seem to be ignored. I work in a very similar industry and I understand things can get busy, however ignoring someone for over 24 hours and then to be bluntly told their application did not go through is quite rude and disrespectful. Total waste of time and terrible communication. Avoid this letting agency at all costs.

Being a more mature person I am not technically minded so the thought of having to complete forms online was completely daunting for me but with the help of Jessica I found renting a property through Henry Adams so easy, Jessica helped me through every step from viewing, filling out forms on the internet and just being there to support me and answer all my questions. I am now looking forward to moving into my new home.

GoogleThe guys at the Middleton office were really helpful, especially Ben, in getting our purchase over line in what proved to be a long winded process because of blockages in the chain. I couldn’t fault Ben at all in how he dealt with our sellers and how he kept them on board whilst trying to put pressure on the rest of the chain to speed things up.

GoogleCouldn’t recommend Henry Adams in Middleton highly enough. Ben and the team provide a great service and really advocated for us and their client during a sale that was made difficult by a solicitor. They did everything they could to ensure the sale ran as smooth as possible.

This was not a positive experience for us. Although communication was polite, there was no real assessment of our situation. After explaining that I have rented the same property for over 15 years with a perfect payment history, the focus was placed almost entirely on rigid criteria such as requiring a UK guarantor or 6, 12 months’ rent upfront. As a result, there was no realistic way to proceed, despite our long-term stability and full-time employment. While I continue to receive automated property listings, there was no meaningful support or willingness to consider our circumstances on an individual basis at the time we actively needed help. This approach may work for applicants who fit a very narrow profile, but for long-term, reliable tenants with real-life situations, it felt inflexible and discouraging.

FAKE GOLD ALERT Henry Adams Fine Art Auctioneers We bought a gold ring from Henry Adams Fine Art Auctioneers in a high-end jewelry sale for nearly £300. When we sent the ring to a jeweler to be resized , we were told by the jeweler that when they machine tested it, it turned out to be fake gold!! We sent it back to Henry Adams, explaining it was fake gold . Their TV celebrity emailed us to tell us, ''It was never sold as gold'' even though it was placed in a high-end jewelry sale... we never got our money back. Proper Betrug Tread with caution.

They were great when moving in but when it came to moving out tried to make outrageous claims from the deposit and then quickly backed down when it went to dispute. Take lots of photos and evidence would be my advice!!!! Also left us 5 days with water coming through the ceiling!!

I have used Henry Adams Letting Agent at Storrington for approximately 12 years for the letting and finding of new tenants for my property. Recently my flat was vacated. Alex Bush of the Storrington office speedily found new tenants. During the last few months Alex has been most helpful, friendly and efficient at the same time professional. Along with the manager James Riley they provide a well organised ,competent and caring team that I would highly recommend without any hesitation.

GoogleI used Henry Adams to sell two houses in Felpham and couldn't recommend them highly enough. Both sales were ex-show homes and needed careful marketing to ensure the right message was articulated to prospective buyers about the spec and quality. Henry Adams displayed professionalism and dedication throughout and most importantly kept in constant communication with me which was especially important on one home that was part of a difficult chain.
