TrustpilotUntil Next Time
Very good efficient and professional service with good communication. Second time in a year my family have appointed Clyde and would do so again hesitation. Very happy that no matter who I spoke to all the staff were up to date with progress-reassuring!

We had a really positive experience selling our home with Clyde Property. From start to finish, the whole process felt professional, well managed and far less stressful than we expected.

TrustpilotGreat experience with Clyde
We had a really positive experience with this estate agency when buying our home. Eve in particular was absolutely brilliant, so helpful, efficient and always quick to respond to any questions we had. She made the whole process feel much less stressful and kept everything moving smoothly.

TrustpilotI moved into this property in September…
I moved into this property in September 2024, and within the first week of my tenancy, significant issues began to arise. The property suffers from severe dampness, leading to mould growth and excessive condensation. As a result, many of my belongings, including clothing and furniture, were ruined. The paint and wallpaper also began to crack and peel due to the persistent moisture. Additionally, there was a leak in the roof that remained unresolved throughout my entire six-month tenancy. This leak caused water to seep into electrical sockets, rendering the electric radiators unusable and affecting the lighting as well. While Anton from Clyde Property was pleasant to deal with over the phone, I consistently had to chase for updates, as communication was poor. Despite multiple inspections and contractor visits, the underlying issues were never resolved. Consequently, I incurred significant financial losses, having to replace mould-damaged items and facing exorbitant electricity costs due to the need for constant dehumidifiers and alternative heating. The landlord refused to offer any compensation or even an apology for these issues. Given that multiple professionals assessed the property and still failed to identify a resolution, these problems were entirely avoidable. The entire experience with Clyde Property was deeply disappointing, and I would strongly advise against renting through them. To make matters worse, after vacating the property, I noticed that it was relisted at an even higher rent, despite its ongoing issues. Prospective tenants should proceed with extreme caution. listing shows as secure entry. This is definitely not the case as anyone can come and go to the property and get right through close and upto doors.

TrustpilotAlways a cleaning deduction
Typical letting agency that will use 'Cleaning' as a way to subtract from your deposit. And will not reply when you ask for an itemised receipt of what needs cleaned, as you have had it professionally cleaned and found it in the same state as you moved in

TrustpilotAwful experience as a tenant
My experience as a tenant with Clyde Property was awful. It was extremely difficult to get anything fixed. Then when I left the property they tried to take a huge amount from my deposit despite spending hours cleaning the property (which was considered as a case of betterment). Unfortunately, many landlords letting agents try to do this. They also told me incorrect information regarding my deposit. Luckily, I didn't listen to them and went into a deposit dispute. My advice for tenants is to take lots of photos upon moving in and leaving your property.

Can really think of anything good to say about this company as a property buyer and seller my experience has been they have zero respect for their customers and blatantly lie. I had an equally bad experience as a prospective renter . The staff have a very high belief in their own importance and contempt for the customers

TrustpilotClyde property Helensburgh
Clyde property Helensburgh - the most unsavoury estate agent on the market. I was on the buying and selling side of them and never again. They over inflated prices, use shoddy tactics of “cash buyers” and the amount of properties that go back on the market after the first offer speaks volumes. If your face fits they will pander to you as they are money driven but if they know your circumstances they will deliberately lie. I lost a genuine buyer because of this then tried the same nonsense when I put in an offer. Awful branch.

TrustpilotKieran MacLean is a credit to Clyde
Kieran MacLean is a credit to the team here at Clyde. A very friendly and approachable character who’s diligent with his work. I hope his work ethic and client centred approach is appreciated internally as it is externally. This chap will do well in his career.

TrustpilotAbsolutely shocking company
Absolutely shocking company. Rachel and Lorraine should be ashamed of themselves. My daughter rented a flat from this company for a few months last year and paid £420 deposit. When viewing the property we noticed that there was a couple of small dampness patches which were painted over but my daughter needed somewhere to stay for a few months. The kitchen had washing machine, fridge freezer, cooker and microwave so it was fine for what she needed for her and her daughter. She moved out at the end of January this year and handed her keys back to them. She emailed them asking for her deposit back and was told that this could be problem as the microwave was missing and that there was mould on the walls in the bedroom which was already there when she moved in and as most people know it takes a while for mould to come through a freshly painted wall. Unbeknown to Rachel and Lorraine I took photos of the property when we left and the microwave was there and the dampness had started to come through the paint My daughter has been trying to contact them for a couple of days without any luck yet. There was no curtains or blinds on the windows when she moved in so when she moved out she left the blinds and the curtain poles up for the next tenant as a thank you to the to the landlord as they were willing to negotiate a price for the rent of the property. If this company doesn't come good with my daughters deposit I will take this matter to court and the Police as this is blatant fraud.

TrustpilotCertainly have shortcomings
Advising how good Clyde Property think the services they offer to potential clients as well as not being slow in telling how good they think they are, compared to their competitors, is a fair reflection of the initial impression of meeting a representative of Clyde Property..

Trustpilot****B E W A R E******OUT TO RIP YOU OFF *****T H I E V E S *****
How I hate this buisness, even several years after cutting ties with them ( and I will keep editing, so my review is near the top in order for them to lose business.) My story (Reposting this review after deleting previous post by mistake ) After splitting from my ex wife in Nov 2014, I rented a small flat from them, in Stirling. It was advised at the time, that due to a lack of drying facilities (though there was a very small back garden where I could dry my clothes.) , there would be a dehumidifier in the property to dry washing etc ( was a little concerned at this, but never thought much more about it, as I liked the flat plus area...BIG Mistake). I rented the property for around 15 months and in that time reported several faults, but very few repairs were carried out, Eg front door faulty, dampness appearing, blocked drainpipes, kitchen window leaking, in which they took pictures, but no or very little action taken. So it comes to the time to move out, and im now thinking how I can spend my deposit...... Think again. They came out to inspect the flat, and ffwd several weeks, they blamed me for the dampness, in which A) I reported.. B) Why was there a dehumidifier in the flat in the first place ??, and C) why blame me when I had reported dampnes, plus their quartley inspections would pick this up surely. They also deducted money for the unkept garden, which was a mess when I moved in, and I admit I did not do any gardening but trust me it was not much worse when I moved out. They never told me what time I had to leave the flat on the day I was moving, so they tried to charge me extra rent ( I was gone by early lunchtime, and nobody was moving in that day) They don't give you an option of what deposit scheme (several companies to choose from in scotland ) you want your deposit to be held at, they only use one ( I ask why??). I personally am very very suspisous at this. I am so glad that I will never need to deal with Clyde again, as they don't care about tenants in my opinion. Also if I have money deducted from my deposit for an already overgrown garden ( unfairly) then the money should be spent on this.( As for deductions for this dampness, this was nothing short of thieving, and part of the deduction was from my late dads inheritance, which he gave me when I rented the property at the start , which was pure robbery from Clyde, which I am so angry about, as this is no different than robbing / stealing from someone ) I have driven by this property on many occasions over the last few years, and nothing has changed in the garden. I beg you not to waste your money, your sanity, your stress levels dealing with this dangerous outfit. They are out to rip people off in my opinion, and will side with the landlord rather than the tenant. Oh one final thing, every few months they come out to inspect the property ( as mentioned above) , and do a report ( looks like they care, and are interested, but trust me they don't,and I'm certain its not to benefit the tennant )... But the tenant is not allowed access to the report only the landlord ( Again I'm very suspisous in this). Something to hide ???. Possibly the worst experience of a business in my life ( 47 years old). The small print when signing up is endless, so beware there to. STAY CLEAR FROM DOING ANY BUISNESS WITH CLYDE PROPERTY, unless you have money to waste, and yet another private company that puts profits well before anything else. THEY ARE EViL AND ARE THE LOWEST OF THE LOW !!! and I hope the owners one day realise the misery they cause to people.

TrustpilotInvaluable help and guidance. Thank you
I cannot thank all the team enough at Clyde Property. It was my first time selling and they were with me every step of the way. They answered every mundane question I had, they showed kindness and empathy and went out of their way to assist me with outside contractors too. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

TrustpilotClyde did what it said on the tin !
With Clyde they did exactly what they said they would do. Got our property (in G13 ) on the market in a week, handled viewings and kept us informed throughout. Found us a buyer quicker than we had hoped, All the Clyde personnel proved to be courteous, helpful and responsive. All three aren't that common these days 🙂

TrustpilotUnnecessary vacancy periods…
Unnecessary vacancy periods between tenancies. In my experience, lettings management seems to a have a preference for waiting until the existing tenant has moved out, before re-advertising is started. On 2 occasions I've had more than one month vacancy period between tenants, with no maintenance work needed on the property. There also seems to be a preference for recommending slightly lower than market rate.

TrustpilotWould highly recommend
My partner and I recently sold our southside flat using Clyde Shawlands and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. From our initial contact with Clyde through to accepting an excellent offer for our flat, the process was seamless and highly professional at all times. We found their knowledge of the local housing market to be fantastic and they were able to provide us with all the advice we needed to get our flat on the market. The marketing materials were outstanding and helped attract a wide range of viewers. We were delighted with the offer we finally accepted for our flat and can't thank Clyde Shawlands enough!
