The Hunters team were brilliant, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you to Niral, Nikki and Urvi for always being professional, kind and helpful at each stage of our house buying and selling process. They were always responsive to calls and e-mails, and were available to share their knowledge and experience, to make the process less stressful--even when things didn't go to plan. Amazing service!

Hunters have been wonderful. The team of Niral and Nikki have gone above and beyond in what one would normally expect from an estate agent. Whatever was required they had a contact who could help. They always kept us informed and made sure the sale went through without any problems.

Appalling group of folks!

Appalling group of folks! This group has no idea what they are doing. we worked with Selina and she was absolutely clueless and brought wrong/unverified information to the table. If I were looking to rent, I would be running as far as possible from this agency or owners they work with! if there were minus points that is what I would give them for ripping a kid off!

Criminals

Misrepresentation, poor service, property management and unlawful practice Unlawful terms in the tenancy agreements, do not uphold their mutual terms as the agent, assume consent to access outside of tenants availability and threaten to break in unlawfully. Have done repairs in house that have caused injury and condition of rental has damaged tenant belongings, mould not disclosed, just covered up to blame tenant later when we leave, constantly asking for access and putting employment at risk but accuse tenant of breach when asked for compensation as in the tenancy agreement . Barely manage property unless theyve been reminded something important has expired. Estate agent happy to make threats to break and enter without legal knowledge, on behalf of a company that is owned by another agent that is well known for illegal practice, unsure if landlords know the legality of the contracts they've signed with Hunters without knowing and checking whether the terms are legal and lawful. Convinced they will be attempting to take money from the deposit as a form of ponzy scheme that pays for more unsafe repairs in propertys, check your doors, lights bulbs and curtain rails dont fall on your child's head, and if the property sets on fire Hunters will deny any accountability, so I doubt they will have integrity in the case of death and if you lose your job because of them they'll kick you out after breaking in (illegally) to make it possible to kick you out. Staff cant cope with reading lots of words in a row, so they don't acknowledge or respond to complaint and the staff will reframe anything you say or do in their favour anyway. Eve's review confirms our experience, its almost the same. They will evict if you ask them to ensure your home is safe and to uphold their mutual terms of the tenancy, they do not follow the eviction to repossession procedure lawfully and expect you to agree to hand the keys back by the notice period they decide at random without serving recorded notice and further violating access law. Using commercial laws for residential properties hoping noone will notice and they will not be accountable when the landlord is in court at their own expense.

A really big thank-you to the team at Hunters, especially Nikki and Niral who were very informative and full of excellent advice during the sale of my property. Always made it their mission to be as helpful as possible and when I needed advice, both were only too happy to give me some assistance and some numbers to call for local trades-people to help out. Excellent service, really glad I chose Hunters - thank-you.

I worked with Niral Batavia and Nikki Cull, who were selling a lovely property in Hyde Heath for some clients. Both are exceptionally professional. Niral's experience in the industry proved valuable throughout the entire process. It was great working with them as a buyer of one of their represented properties!

so bad discriminated by this company when I went for a view in the person told me to go and jump over bridge and kill myself because I don't deserve to be alive because I'm autistic did not even investigate they didn't do nothing to switch it on the look of like nothing happened and didn't want to do nothing tell someone to go and kill herself what do they gonna do nothing about it and he was sitting there laughing like it was a joke and then just sitting there thinking it's funny and they say gone going to it and make us all very happy that we don't have to deal with another autistic personthis is why I'm going for four legal action and I'm going to go for criminal charges against them

Nikki was the first estate agent we met when we started the process for looking for a new home. We both liked Nikki's manner which wasn't pushy or over the top (unlike some agents we have come across). She knew the houses well and their vendors so could answer all our questions then and there. Very happy we bought our house through Hunters. A calm and stress free transaction. Thanks very much Nikki!

Hunters - Tring - useless

Given that the purpose of an estate agent is to bring sellers and buyers together, as a potential buyer I found Hunters service abysmal I tried to make a viewing appointment for a property they had for sale. They said they would phone or email me. Nothing. Tried again two days later. Person I spoke to seemed surprised at what had happened and said would get back to me. Nothing. Were I to be selling a property, I would not be using this estate agency. Perhaps they only do it as a hobby.

Money for nothing

Make no mistake they aren't worthy of even one star! This Hunters franchise (Sea Road Sunderland) and their so called MD Chris Kelly and his team failed to carry our property inspections and investigate complaints from neighbours in relation to the neglect and horrendous decline of my property over a three year period. We as landlords put our faith in the letting agent and trust they will do a good job in managing our properties. I'm now £7k down trying to repair the property to a good standard. The failure of this company to manage the property and the tenants has left me significantly disadvantaged. Mr Kelly has not responded to my many complaints and requests for compensation and has instead left the franchise, no doubt to make another fortune charging 15% off the back of other unsuspecting landlords! Hunters are a company well known and trusted in our area but be warned, these agents are hiding behind that brand and are able to operate without scrutiny or regulation!!

Despite Hunter's working for the vendors I purchased from, both Nikki and Niral have been a delight to work with throughout the entire sale process and have played a large part in facilitating the sale going through in under 3 months - including, at pace, facilitating a timely resolution to our revised offer price following issues picked up at survey. They even went over and beyond by picking up packages left on the doorstep prior to completion. Whilst I hope I never need to use them as this purchase is our 'forever home', I cannot recommend them highly enough to others thinking of using their services.

Are the staff in the Highfield Road…

Are the staff in the Highfield Road office volunteers on some sort of day release programme ? I can only presume so because no company management in their right mind would pay them to do NOTHING, my 3 messages to request a viewing fell on deaf ears, yet it is still available for rent, appalling behaviour, does the owner of the rental know who they have looking after their property, in this case they soon will, Land Registry gave me the owners details and I am in the process of asking the owner directly for a viewing appointment as their "representatives" are awol.

Very bad customer service.

Very bad customer service. I requested for a viewing and the agent texted me over WhatsApp about the viewing times and said viewing can be done only on weekends and evenings. No other estate agents texted me over WhatsApp and others called me directly when I made a inquiry and even scheduled my viewing appointment according to my preference but this agency seemed not so interested in selling the property or whatever. Next thing when he finally had a suitable time for my viewing, I had to cancel the viewing because my car was in the garage and they said it was not ready for collection so I called the estate agent to inform him about it and this guy was so rude. He didnt even say bye and just hung up. Very disappointed.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST

Hunters Stevenage is extremely unprofessional and dishonest!I want to caution everyone considering them before handing over a deposit, as they will go to great lengths to keep your money.I had been renting for eight years prior to this, in various properties with different agents, and never encountered any issues with the return of my deposit. It's incredibly frustrating trying to get a response from them, even through email. Without a doubt, they are the worst estate agent I've ever had to deal with. I lived in a rented house through them for nearly two years but recently purchased my own place through Own Homes (which hasn't had any issues).Hunters is currently refusing to refund my deposit after two months, citing a small rip in the carpet near the radiator pipe and a crack in the bath. Both of these issues were present when I first moved in.They are taking an unreasonable stance and are also claiming an inability to communicate with the landlord for nearly a month. They're even using minor issues like mold on the bathroom sealant and three burnt-out light bulbs as reasons not to return my deposit.Furthermore, after two months, they are now trying to deduct money from my deposit, citing a weed issue in the front garden.Letting Manager sent me an email at 7:14 PM, and immediately after that, I went to the house and took photos to document the situation. It's truly baffling how unreasonable they are being.I consistently paid the rent on time and took excellent care of the house while I was there, even installing a new shower. However, I'm currently facing issues retrieving my deposit, as I had to hire a cleaning company to restore the house to its original condition. This has been an ongoing process please be cautious when dealing with Hunters Stevenage!!!"

Niral and the team at Hunters did a fantastic job selling our house. I spoke to six estate agents and Niral had by far the best strategy for selling in the current market conditions and basically just made it happen. The team were very professional, helpful and always available to talk to. If I had anything else to sell I'd definitely go with Hunters again.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Poor repairs. Illegal eviction - should have been a section 8 as landlord was selling up and tried to use the deposit for renovating the property into a HMO. Hunters also charged the previous tenants for professional cleaning which we were told would be happening in the first week or so of moving in. It didn't. They then tried to charge us for the same service. Wonder how many customers they do this to. Also charging for items not on the property but given to a neighbor, and later thrown out by him on his own garden area q(he advised landlord and hunters it was his to get rid of). They have identified it as formerly mine from property inspection photos which legally should not be taken of my possessions. Con artists. Pending further action.

Total scammers!

Total scammers!! Do NOT recommend at all!! I rented with with them for 4 years, was okay at first then it gotten difficult to get things properly fixed, they left us without a fridge and freezer for over a year so I had to buy my own! They send out the same repair men that told me over and over again they could t properly fix various things as it needed updating and my landlord was refusing to update (handyman’s words not mine). We had a mice infestation that I had made them aware of but nothing was done and they ended up coming into the house eating through all my kids Easter eggs and our snacks and my sons make a wish documents amongst other important documents!! I had to pay for the infestation to be sorted, I have paperwork that states the things that needed doing to stop them and they didn’t do half of it!! There was insufficient loft insulation, single glazed windows and no wall insulation so it was beyond freezing unless I had the heating on constantly. They didn’t carpet or decorate in god knows how long!! I paid £2800 deposit to stay in this house!! They then said as I was pregnant there would be too many people living in the property so I said okay can I please have a rent statement to get onto the council and was told by corena she would email this to me but this went on for about 6 months and she then sends me an eviction notice instead so I said okay can I have the rent statement she still refused! A year later I get the rent statement.. then another eviction notice. Their reason was my landlords granddaughter had cancer and needed to sell up to pay for treatment (she knew one of my sons was a cancer survivor and she also knew my youngest son is fighting a brain tumour!) she used my personal circumstances as a tool against me. I tried so hard to move out quickly but eventually got a property with the council. She caused 2 years of horrifying mental breakdowns, I have adhd and so you can imagine the impact it had! She never done and entrance or exit inventory with me, she next done entrance or exit key handover so the crook covered her bases.!! This wasn’t her first rodeo!!I have been informed by neighbours of repairs etc carried out since I left the property and also about the new tennants living there so they never sold the property.Social services are trying to help get my deposit back, the so called deposit guarantee scheme said there was nothing they could do as it was never with them!! So I had a look on company’s house at them… I suggest if your considering renting from hunters you look on companies house at them too!! They are a bunch of scammers and they keep getting away with it!!They have now left us with absolutely nothing! I’m a single mum having to furnish and carpet a house with next to no money struggling to decide if my kids need a bed or food, carpets or gas, curtains or electric!! I was told a survey of dilapidation was being done and that turned out to not be true!! I have asked numerous times about my deposit and she doesn’t reply to nothing! She ignores everything. She has stolen £2800 from me and my children. I have 2 autistic children and 1 is a cancer survivor and 1 has a brain tumour I have a lot of worries already with them without this worry about loosing so much money that was needed to benefit my children. British Gas had to swap the meter as per the request from the ombudsmen and corena Harris told me I’d better put them back I have this and more in messages!! I said I can’t as that is breaking the law and she wasn’t happy at all.. the old meters didn’t work!! I can only hope people do not make the same mistake as myself and put their trust in these despicable people!! Have a look on companies house before considering renting from them!!£2800 is a lot of money for a single mum with 6 children and 3 of which are very poorly and one is fighting a brain tumour you ask yourself what kind of person does that!!

Took a day off work for a confirmed…

Took a day off work for a confirmed viewing, turned up, and was told they couldn’t show me round because they “didn’t have the keys.” You couldn’t make it up. Utterly shambolic, a complete waste of time and money. Shows a total lack of respect for people’s schedules. This lot are a joke of an agency, disorganised, unreliable, and downright careless. If they can’t manage something as basic as turning up prepared, they’ve no business calling themselves professionals. Steer well clear.
