GoogleHunters estate agents gave me the best service I’ve ever had from an agent. Was impressed with their sales strategy. Great advice to get me a sale at the right price, advising on legitimacy of offers and how reliable (or otherwise) the potential buyers were, and then checking down the chain to check the robustness. All in all Niral and team were amazing, even providing much needed communication when my solicitor was unable to. Highly recommended.

TrustpilotI would strongly advise others to think…
I would strongly advise others to think twice before renting through this estate agent. When we signed our tenancy agreement, the property was advertised and agreed with included parking, which was a key factor in our decision to rent the flat.
However, just a few months into our tenancy, the parking was suddenly closed off and made unavailable. This caused significant inconvenience and disruption to our daily lives, especially as parking had been a major factor in choosing this property.
What’s particularly frustrating is how the situation was handled. The estate agent did very little to help resolve the issue and took no responsibility whatsoever, despite the parking being part of what was originally offered. Communication was poor, and we were essentially left to deal with the consequences on our own.
During this time, we were forced to park in a Tesco car park and pay for parking after work. On multiple occasions there were no spaces available, meaning I had to drive around late in the evening trying to find alternative parking elsewhere. This was both stressful and time-consuming.
To try and resolve the issue, my partner had to take several hours out of his working day over the course of a week, including attending a three-hour meeting. Despite this effort, the only solution offered was for the landlord to contribute just 50% towards alternative parking, which was located far away from our building in a public car park. Even with this contribution, it would still leave us paying over £100 extra per month for something that was originally included.
To make matters worse, the flat has now been re-let at a significantly lower price than we were paying. We were paying £1,200 per month with parking included, yet it has since been advertised for under £1,000 per month without parking. In that context, the offer to contribute just 50% towards inconvenient, off-site parking feels completely inadequate and frankly quite insulting.
We were ultimately forced to find a new property, which cost us hundreds of pounds in moving expenses, required taking multiple days off work, and caused a huge amount of stress. Despite this, the agent offered no compensation and even suggested we should be grateful to have been released from the contract.
Once we had agreed to leave due to the parking issues and lack of support, we were then required to accommodate viewings of the property. This took up additional hours of my partner’s working day and caused further disruption at an already stressful time while we were trying to organise our move.
Only months after we moved out did the agent state that the landlord would cover the additional parking costs we incurred, but this was conditional on us agreeing to drop any other potential claims. We will not be agreeing to this. Had they taken proper responsibility for misrepresenting the property and the significant inconvenience, cost, and stress caused, this situation may have been handled very differently.
The issues didn’t stop there. They then attempted to charge us money from our deposit for items such as “discoloration in the washing machine drawer”, something that was already documented in the original check-in report. They provided an amount for repair without any supporting cost evidence. When we challenged this and requested proof, the quotes we eventually received were extremely high and unreasonable. We had to stand our ground and escalate the matter to TDS for dispute resolution, and only then did we end up paying only 40% of what they were trying to charge.
It has now been months since we left the property and we still have not received our full deposit back, which is adding further financial strain and stress.
Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. A letting agent should provide support, take responsibility, and offer fair, reasonable solutions when issues arise. Unfortunately, this agent failed on all counts, and I would not recommend using them

GoogleNiral, Nikki and team were absolute stars in what was a challenging process! I could not recommend them enough.
The initial marketing was superb, and the interest we had in the property was beyond our expectations. They also guided us throughout every stage to ensure that our house was seen in the best possible light.
Even in difficult circumstances the team drove the sale at every moment, and we are so grateful that we chose Hunters!

GoogleI can't thank Nikki enough for all the support throughout my house purchase. From the moment the offer was accepted until the day of completion, she was absolutely brilliant. She was always on her toes, constantly updating me and chasing things without ever giving excuses. Honestly, without her help and patience, I wouldn't have been able to complete the purchase, especially with such a tight deadline. I’m truly grateful and highly recommend Hunters and Nikki!

TrustpilotAvoid this agency at all costs.
I paid a £135 holding deposit to secure a room with an agreed move‑in date. The moment they took my money, they changed the date and told me I could only move in several days later. Because of their change, I could no longer proceed and asked for a refund, which they refused.
Every part of the process felt unprofessional. They changed key terms after taking payment, ignored the written agreement, and then tried to keep the deposit even though the change was entirely on their side. I had to escalate the issue to the Property Ombudsman because they simply would not do the right thing.
This experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and disrupted my housing plans. Based on how they handled this situation, I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before handing over any money.

TrustpilotRobot refused to give me a viewing
Awful experience trying to arrange a viewing. Spent yonks on the phone with a robot. It asked me unnecessary questions and misheard things; then had to reconfirm everything. Eventually it was happy. I hung up and it started again this time by text. In the end it refused to let me have a viewing unless I told them my spending budget - which I wasn't prepared to do. Do not sell your property through these idiots.

GoogleWe recently bought a property where Hunters Amersham acted on behalf of the sellers, and I have to say Niral was outstanding throughout. He was communicative, helpful, and really determined to get the transaction over the line. There were some tricky and unexpected issues in our long chain, but Niral worked hard to bring all parties together and keep things moving. His professionalism and persistence made a real difference, highly recommended.

GoogleWhen we decided to market our property through Hunters, we knew that we made the right choice.
Niral’s strategy couldn’t be more clearer to achieve what we needed. The man definitely knows what he is talking about.
And joined by Nikki’s wonderful presentation and appraisal.
They have been a fantastic duo, very professional and communicative since the very minute the process started and continued so to keep us updated. Their media member (Jonathan from MediaArcade) to photograph to present the property is another positive aspect to their team.
Their support doesn’t stop just with marketing the property but extends to recommending surveyors, movers, anything and everything around selling and buying.
The sale and the onward purchase involved a complex chain of several properties and Niral’s proactive approach to chase up the solicitors and other agents to arrive at dates for exchange and completion was highly commendable.
When they say “HERE TO GET you THERE” they really do it.

GoogleThe team at Hunters led by Niral were outstanding in helping us as executors to get the property sale over the line. They helped us overcome problems along the way, including interest rate rises which threatened the sale, as well as facilitating a range of tradesmen to keep the house and grounds looking good for the prospective buyers. We were supported and updated regularly by Niral. We highly recommend this professional company.

TrustpilotDisappointed
Disappointed, we learned our house purchase had fallen through at the point of us being ready to exchange on our property. We found out that the office had known about it and left it to the agent, who had been looking after us, to tell us after she came back from annual leave! We never got a reason for the purchase to fall through and they even tried delaying us putting an offer in on another property. Luckily this was with another agent and we trusted our gut as the trust with Hunters had gone. 7 weeks later we were in our new home. Felt let down and disappointed with Hunters. This was our first and last time dealing with them.

GoogleHunters were great when we purchased a property. They were on hand to answer questions at the viewing and forwarded other queries to the seller quickly. During the buying process they kept us up to date and were great and forwarding correspondence between ourselves and the seller which was useful. Completion day ran smoothly and a lovely touch for our first home.

My experience with Hunters was deeply disappointing.
Repeated administrative errors relating to notices and tenancy handling caused unnecessary delays, additional time, and avoidable stress during possession proceedings. When I recently contacted the branch again regarding future instructions, I was informed in a dismissive manner that they no longer wished to work with me due to previous disputes, disputes which arose from their own handling failures.
Professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication appear seriously lacking based on my experience!

TrustpilotInvasion of privacy-HUNTERS LETTING AGENTS IN TRING-why not answering e mails matters
HUNTERS LETTING AGENTS IN TRING
Thinking of renting via Hunters in Tring?
My experience is very poor, at the moment they are not even replying to my e mails. Have had lots of problems with hot water etc, but my Xmas has been ruined by landlord taking it upon themselves to enter my home, poke around, opening cupboards etc, comment on water heater left on, all whilst I am away, under the pretext of a non essential repair that has been outstanding for 4 months at least.
Hunters seem to think this is all ok, no reply to any of my e mails (nothing new there), for the last 4 days. I think this is really irresponsible behaviour by a letting agent as this feels like an invasion of privacy, am struggling to get early flight home to try to stop this from happening.
I think there are good reasons why Hunters don't actively have a trust pilot account, on reading the reviews that is understandable.

TrustpilotEnquired about a property
Enquired about a property. Travelled a round trip of 10 hours to view said property.
Landlord accepted application but needed to contact freeholder to seek permission to let.
Original chap I was dealing with was superb, but he went on leave.
Hunters then left me sat for a week without communication, and let to someone else during that period.
Absolutely infuriating waste of time and effort and an appalling way to treat a potential customer. Don't go near them.

Trustpilot"Avoid Hunters Property Management
"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"
My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.
Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.
Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.
Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. Their arrogant demeanor gives the impression that addressing tenant concerns is a favor rather than their responsibility.
Neglecting Tenant Safety and Comfort: Health and safety issues, such as rat infestations and malfunctioning alarms, were not addressed promptly, despite the serious risks they posed. The lack of urgency in handling these matters has caused significant stress and discomfort for my family.
Minimal Value Added: Hunters operates more like a messenger than a property management service. They fail to provide meaningful solutions and seem content to pass the burden of responsibility onto others, leaving tenants to fend for themselves.
Overall, Hunters Property Management has proven to be unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive. Both tenants and landlords deserve better. I strongly advise against using their services if you value timely resolutions, respect, and effective communication.

GoogleI would highly recommend Hunters Amersham for house purchase/selling in Amersham. We just completed a purchase and they were very supportive throughout the journey from viewings ~ Completion and also post completion. Nikki had been very friendly, patient and kept us informed at all times with clear communications. Niral, had been very supportive at various stages and had a very warm welcome by them to the area. They were very quick in responding to our queries and also returning back our calls. They also supported us with local contacts to get settled. Thank you so much Niral & Nikki, for your support and for finding our next home.

GoogleHunters have been great from the start to the end of our sale.
From the first meeting with Niral we were impressed with his professionalism and the level of his preparations (he had done his homework and knew about our extension etc). He was able to articulate clearly what the best sales strategy would be and was able to back it up with evidence. A brilliant first impression. Nikki was amazing during the viewings, and they were both always super responsive whenever we needed to get hold of one of them.
They gave us loads of help along the way, too much to mention but one example is...toward the end we had a problem with the property we were buying (Hunters weren't involved in the purchase as it was in a different part of the country) and Niral took the time (after hours) to act as a sounding board, and gave us his view and his advice, which was a massive help in us resolving the problem.
Thank you Niral and Nikki!PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

My purchase took a long time being probate and the team was always responsive to my queries and kept me informed. I have bought properties through other estate agents in the past, all were not this responsive in my experience. I feel any house purchase or sell is a stressful process and hunters have certainly kept me at peace in this journey. Many thanks !
