Fraud risk

Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

I had a wonderful experience with this property agency! As a new buyer, I was quite nervous and had so many questions, but the team was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Radhika was absolutely lovely, so kind, approachable, and always ready to help. She made me feel comfortable and confident at every step. Louise was also amazing, so patient and understanding. On move-in day, Murray went above and beyond to assist me, he helped with any questions I had and made sure everything was in order. What can I say about Bridgfords in Bamber Bridge, what an absolutely fabulous team of professionals to deal with especially Jane Catterall! This amazing lady has gone above and beyond for us firstly regarding the sale of my mum's house after she passed away, and now ourselves. Without Jane with her knowledge and wealth of experience our house move would have collapsed, she did everything in her power to get the job done, she went above and beyond, and is also a very understanding and caring individual remaining professional throughout. FTB - moved from a different city to Manchester and the whole experience with Bridgfords Altrincham was highly positive and I'm very happy with the service provided. Tracey and Radhika provided lots of great advice, fantastic communication, and were extremely supportive during the end to end process from the very first viewing where we had the best house viewing experience with Tracey (she gave us extra time and was extremely helpful), right up until exchanging the contracts and completion which they both helped me work through discussions with the vendor regarding surveys and finer details of the sale, ironing out all hiccups. As a FTB, I asked numerous questions via phonecalls and emails (probably too much!) but they were always on hand to guide me through. Overall, this has a great process and would highly recommend Bridgfords Altrincham!

After shopping around for an Estate Agents we took the average evaluation and decided on Bridgfords, The Downs, Altrincham. Tracy and her team, Nancy and Sam have all been brilliant. They have kept us informed every step of the way and are always keen to help. Nancy especially has really gone above and beyond in her profession, liaising with ourselves, our conveyancing team and our onward solicitors. It’s a hard job to keep all parties happy but Nancy does this with ease. Bridgefords were really good at letting out my property with a very quick turnaround time but the service after that has been exceptionally poor: rarely anyone answers calls or responds to emails. I was charged double for the letting fee and yet with many emails and phones later this matter has not been resolved (close to a year now). I am looking to switch over to a smaller local agent but getting Bridgefords to transfer over the documentation is like getting blood out of a stone.

Some things never change - still shoddy

Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

2 month+ deposit return delay

I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

The worst out there

The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Stay away from the burnley branch, good lord, how do they get away with this bs.
