Night mare company, waited over 26 months and snag list still isn’t complete, items promised on original reservation wasn’t kept to, the builders was rude, customer service is terrible, if your looking for a new home avoid Mcdermott homes! They simply do not care once they have your money, and it’s a shame, because if they had better customer service they could be an exceptional company, the building standard isn’t perfect but I’ve seen far worse, however they don’t do anything you ask and just simply ignore you most of the time, have to say only thing they are good at is chasing you for your ground rent that isn’t even due!

The whole experience of buying my home has been incredible because of the thought and attention to detail given by their sales team. From my first visit into the sales office (August 2017) to moving in (December 2017) and now after living in my house for over 12 months, I can't have asked for a better experience for buying my first home. Sure there have been a few problems since moving in with the snag list and small things going wrong... But it's never been too much trouble to get these problems sorted. All of the tradesmen have been efficient and polite, and will come back as many times as you need until you're happy with the finish. If I'm ever to buy another new build property in the future, I'll be looking for property built by McDermott Homes.

We have bought a beautiful Garth on Cranberry Meadows, Darwen. We haven’t yet moved in and are due to complete on the 3rd May, however I have to say how brilliant the experience has been so far. This is mine and my partners first home together, and we are very particular with things, however nothing has been too much trouble for the Sales Manager at Darwen. We go up to the site/marketing suite nearly every week and he is always so friendly and helpful and accommodating with our requests. He has helped us every step of the way and has so far been an easy and enjoyable process! We would highly recommend purchasing a house from McDermott Homes, we think the quality of workmanship is excellent and the houses are beautiful, spacious, and surprisingly have really good size gardens (which we always thought new build houses were small with small gardens.) We can’t wait to move in!

Amazing, the service we have received has been amazing. We had heard horror stories about new builds and other developers, awful unfinished houses with huge problems. I can not fault McDermott. The house has been built to an exceptional standard. The final fitings and work inside has been completed to such a high standard and we are so happy with our home. If I could offer any advice go with the solicitors McDermott recommend. They know what they are doing and everything will be so much smoother. Val saved the day so many times and she does a fantastic job. She's a credit to McDermott. Thank you to all the team for all your work.

My husband and I purchased a house in January 2018 from McDermott Homes on one of their site's in Bacup. The service we received from them was outstanding, nothing was to much trouble for them in helping us with our purchase. All the staff were very pleasant and patient with and went that extra mile in sorting out things for us. The house was just what we wanted and it was done to a hight standard.My sister has also been a tenant for over 3 years in one of their rentals and has always had great service from them.

I was a tenant for two years with McDermott Developments Limited and would recommend them as one of the top letting landlords around east Lancashire. I found there customer care service impeccable. I was very impress with the apartment I rented; it was very clean and fresh when I first moved in two years ago. I was greeted by staff from lettings and they showed me around the apartment as part of their induction process including contact information if I had any problems. I was very pleased with the location which was close to nearby shops and mainline bus routes. Lettings and customer care staff was very helpful and dealt with problems promptly and I recently opted to purchase the property. Well done McDermott Homes for employing dedicated staff, very customer focus.

Development - High Beeches Clitheroe No hassle experience... Andrew, site sales, couldn't have been any more helpful, very efficient, friendly, nothing was too much trouble, making the whole process and experience of purchasing a property very straight forward for my daughter. A few snags, as you’d expect when moving in. Joe, site agent, again very polite, helpful, promptly sorted these for her, overall, we can’t fault the service received.

Messed around for a ton of paperwork (they wanted to know everything about us) and then declined our offer to move into a property because our income is not 2.5x the price of there rent (if this would have been mentioned at the start instead of wasting every bodys money and time i would not be so mad, also there are hidden fees, avoid this company at all costs

Avoid at all costs, very slow to attend to remedial works. Always claiming to have other priorities and then attempt to charge the tenant at move out for the same issues. Unreasonable deductions made from the deposit, had to get the deposit protection company to step in. Check with the local citizens advice, they are well known for this underhand behaviour
